It was clean. Comfortable and staff were friendly. Not much more needed from me. Breakfast is a hotel breakfast, nothing special.

Walls very thin. You can not get peace in this place. You hear everything. TVs, convos, steps, etc.

We worked with Nancy Schwartz who did a phenomenal job taking care of us behind the scenes, responding promptly to emails, and making sure our weekend went off without a hitch! The hotels lobby is very spacious. Rooms were extremely clean. We loved the mini fridge and Keurig set up in each room. Additionally, the location of this hotel is right off I-55 and has TONS nearby for food, activities, and drinks. Overall notes below... -Booking 20+ rooms gives couple one free night stay. -Booking 20+ rooms gives couple access to their 14 person shuttle for a total of 4 trips free of charge. -Accommodates and handles giving out Wedding Welcome bags to guests in room block. -Discounted rates of $120 per night during room block stay. -Plated and Breakfast Buffet offered each morning for $15 per guest. -Check in at 3pm and check out at noon. -Lobby Bar hours can be extended for couple's guest with small fee. Only drawback we encountered was guests who called to book a room instead of on our link, had a more difficult time working with staff.

This location was less convenient for us than another hotel we stayed in during the moving process, though there are various stores and restaurants nearby. We had a disabled accessible room so it was one large space with a king bed, and this was actually more functional than the suite rooms we stayed in (also ADA accessible) elsewhere. The room "divider" was a hospital-room-style curtain that pulled out next to the bed. Elevators were the least sensory friendly I have ever encountered, with loud, high pitched dings (not fun for the cats). We utilized the pool while visiting, but parents should need the rule that unattended children cannot be there by themselves -- some kids came racing to the door (needs to be opened with key card) and banging on it so we would let them in (hell no! We are not going to be responsible for someone else's children. Finally as we were leaving they returned with their parents). Janitor also needed to clean in here as there was blood on the edge of the pool -- not sanitary. Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about. I will say that despite signage in the elevator talking about "crafting your ultimate breakfast sandwich," the offering was premade Jimmy Dean type stuff. A lot of noise in the halls and lobby at this hotel. Ultimately, we did opt to stay elsewhere the next time.

All the runs are set to 75° which in the warm weather would be just fine but it's winter and I am an older person with her blood circulation is quite uncomfortable after a couple of some like adjusted it so that I could move the temperature. But the main reason we came to this location was for the indoor pool. Which every customer found two to enjoy. Most people came in and the temperature in the room and their foot or hand in the water and left. Should try to brave chill room and chill pool had to bum up any towels and wear coats while they children in the pool. My granddaughter is in Barrett and I decided to go to the room and get her. Beach family on this short time in the pool. My grandson is autistic will brave the temperature just so he could be under the water because he loves water. I tried several times the temperature, to avail. Manager simply was not interested in our comfort. He says that in our room to communicate with the front desk, not functioning properly the entire thing. And most importantly, the blackout blinds and bedroom, I initially operated, but when I try to let them down to go to bed and get a good night sleep that was not happening. I had to call the front desk for my cell phone. Ask someone tell me how to get them down, but there was no maintenance on site and did not know how to accomplish this so I did not hardly any sleep at all. And I'm not even going to go and see the drama that I went through when I initially check in and found room not handicap accessible and there were no handicap accessible available even though that is supposedly booked online. Suffice to say my reservation was not one that could be altered or adjusted north of council. So my only choice was to pay additional charges for a larger road they suffer. I can't wait to get out of here and go home with a voice of money and a crappy way to spend Thanksgiving.

December 25, I started receiving notifications from my bank that the hotel was trying to process various amounts, and they were being declined. My initial thought that it a fraud attempt. Seeing that the $1420 was no longer in my account. Upon returning to the hotel, I stopped and asked what the issue was when I'd already paid. I was told that the system had charged by card $741 and was now attempting to charge the remaining balance of $540. Why? That's not the process. I'm well-traveled. Don't let the look fool you as I'm currently at another Marriot property as we speak. In addition, I do not have a charge on my card for $741; only the hold for $1420 which to this day (3rd) remains. Check out day comes and a forced charge of $540 was put through on my card leaving me with a negative balance of $540. The $1420 transaction is still pending, and my card is f'd up! There is no charge of $741 anywhere! To add salt to the wound, no apology has been given, no compensation, nothing. Unfortunately, as I was leaving one afternoon, the manager was apologizing to a customer that did not look like me for something that had taken place and was offering rewards points for their inconvenience. Terrible!

Our ballroom is so beautiful, and everything looked absolutely stunning on our special day. Here I wanted to THANK YOU Katie Jones, the hotel manager, for being so professional, accommodating, and supportive throughout the entire planning process, especially when we decided to switch from the Cyprus Room to Ballroom B, just three weeks before the wedding. She made the change stress and handling everything with her good care. We're so grateful for her patience, attention to detail, and for making the entire process so smooth. Our guests were so impressed with the venue and the level of service. This is one of the best venues to celebrate weddings. We highly recommend Hotel Arista to any couple looking for a classy, beautiful, and memorable wedding venue. Also, the parking is very convenient for everybody. However, there are two areas where we think this hotel SHOULD improve: 1. Food Quality - We chose lamb and duck for our main entrées. While the lamb was excellent, the duck unfortunately, turned out VERY salty and quite different from the delicious version we had during the tasting. It was a bit disappointing since food is such an important part of the wedding experience. 2. Reservation - One of our special guests faced a BIG inconvenience due to a reservation miscommunication. We had confirmed a few times with the front desk that charges would go to the card on file and not the guest directly. Unfortunately, the guest was charged anyway, which caused him to miss his flight and pay double fees to rebook. The solution is, we called the reservation front desk, and they apologized and offered us two free nights as compensation. In conclusion, aside from these two issues, everything else about our wedding day was truly memorable. The staff was attentive, the ballroom looked stunning, and the overall service was excellent. We're still very happy we chose Hotel Arista as our wedding venue, but we hope the hotel can make improvements in those areas for future couples and guests.
