A very new hotel( almost think new car smell) Our stay was great! The room was spacious with tons of USB & electrical outlets, the wonderful Marriott type mattress & pillows, plenty of fluffy towels, and an above average complimentary breakfast buffet. The outdoor pool is smallish, but apparently adequate because it was completely unoccupied. They also have a fitness center and guest laundry facilities. The staff we encountered at both the breakfast & front desk were also very pleasant. Would certainly stay here again.

We were hoping to make it home today during our trip back from Stugis. But Mother Nature had other plans and hit us with heavy rain and lightning storms. It took us 9 hours to cover 300 miles on our bikes. So, change of plans. Wven though we finally made it out of the storm front, we we're done. Time to find the next Marriott/Sheraton and try again tomorrow. This property was right off Rt. 75 South and became our respite. It is a newer property, so it was neat and trim. Amanda helped get us checked in and she was wonderful. We were able to be upgraded to a suite since we are platinum members which was nice after our long day. The room was comfortable and the the property had a nice restaurant across the parking lot called Harrisons (see review) that was convenient and good. There is also a Dunkin Donuts in front of hotel which made the location perfect. If in area, this is a good rest stop. We will stay again.

CONSUMERS BEWARE THIS HOTEL DEALS UNFAIRLY WITH GUESTS I recently stayed at this hotel December 22, 2022, and I would never recommend staying here. Upon check in, I noticed that the bathroom room area sink, and shower had human hair everywhere, the carpet had human hairs everywhere. I immediately went to Walmart and dollar tree directly behind the hotel to purchase cleaning supplies and cleaned the bathroom and room myself. Don't be fooled by the lobby, this hotel does not offer a clean environment. The hotel websites state this hotel offers a business center, but the computer did not work, the website states the hotel offers daily housekeeping, which is included in the nightly room rate, but, "I" didn't get any housekeeping doing my stay. Trash sat outside my door for two days, I had to move it because of the smell. I had to ask David, repeated times, for fresh towels and each time I asked, he was annoyed. In addition, the refrigerator in my room #310 malfunctioned causing all my purchased food to be ruin. This was the a day before Christmas.I reported the issue immediately to David, who ignored the issue. David claimed he was the person working because of the major holiday. I was never reimbursed for my food loss or food replacement cost. The G.M. Viresh and A.M. Taylor, have refused to pay me for my damages or comp my entire stay. CONSUMERS beware of this hotel it does not deal fairly with guests, it does not offer a clean environment

The floors from the entrance, all the way down the hall to our room were covered in dried mud. I did not want to track that into my own room, but it was unavoidable. Although I appreciate the simplicity and frugality of the setup, there were not a lot of choices for breakfast and very little to make it tastier. There was white and wheat bread (no bagels or pastries), very simple scrambled egg patties and sausage links. No hot sauce or cheese to dress it up a bit. There was a small waffle iron (I don't eat waffles), and a couple of cereals. No fruit. The butter was refrigerated and so cold that it wouldn't spread on my toast, so I snagged some for the next morning and let it thaw in my room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of our early arrival, which was a plus. So, for a cheap & unplanned stay, it suited our needs and our circumstances (being stuck in the area mid-trip for truck repairs), but wouldn't use this spot for a planned trip or extended stay.

On the second day we requested a room cleaning and despite being told it would happen and being gone all day, we came back to a room that needed at least the garbage taken out. When we went down to the desk to inquire we were given a bit of a run-around and met with a bad attitude by the front desk person who basically told me to handle my own garbage and scolded me for not "smiling" (wonder if he would have said that to a guy?). Really disappointing. Not so great customer service. Despite a really lovely lady working in the breakfast area, we will not be returning.

My Littles constantly pushed them around once they figured out how easily they moved. 1 star- the hotel parking lot is cut into a hill, so on either side, there are 20 ft high retaining walls. On one side, the wall goes up. The hotel up the hill has a fence to prevent people from falling over it. This hotel has nothing. There's just the parking lot, about 5 feet of grass, then a 20 ft drop to the red lobster parking lot. My four nights have been excellent. Great customer service, my room was ready when I arrived on Monday. I was comfortable and slept very well all week. We had a little excitement this afternoon when a power outage hit the area. Blackout generators kicked in to run the AC and lights. However, no internet. The outage lasted a couple of hours. I also love the close proximity to restaurants, coffee shops and shopping stores in the area. Everything I need is right here. Enjoyed my stay and will stay here again if I ever return to Y-12.

Every other hotel where I've stayed around the country is willing to check you out early WITHOUT penalties as long as you check out on time. I have never experienced a hotel that charges a penalty if you end your job early and check out early. My employer will now be forced to pay for the full stay of my original reservation, and hotel management will not budge on this policy. I will be posting this negative review on various review sites as this will probably not be allowed to be posted on Marriott's website or this hotel's website. I stay in hotels around the USA constantly as I travel full time for work. Needless to say, will not be staying at this location again, and I will recommend my coworkers do not stay at this location when traveling to Oak Ridge, TN.

The shops were all very unique and a huge variety of food options. We also walked around on Gay street which was similar.' The ally between Market Square has beautiful murals by different artists. I would highly recommend walking through. However as a woman I would only walk through during day time hours preferably with someone else. The ally has these small holes which many homeless individuals were in. The one thing that was concerning on multiple levels was the huge populations of individuals that were without a home. Homelessness is not a new challenge to cities, however it appeared that an inordinate amount of them have significant mental health challenges. Appeared to be in an altered state, walking around talking to themselves loudly. This was concerning on a humanitarian level but also a safety. I want to be very clear, nothing happened and we were safe. We did buy several meals to give.
