The renovations with no signs of caution....
    Denise R.

Appears to be cleaner than most hotels we have stayed in for the price during the pandemic. That's for my two stars. They said they are renovating the hotel. The window opens in the second floor in our room and it's a big safely concern bc we have toddlers. Scared to explore more of the hotel and choose not to. Called on my cell to let them know our hotel phone didn't work and they didn't give a crap about it or offered to replace the phone.. had to take the phone down to the front desk. We decided not to spend the night and left.

TP holder falling out of wall
    Ron H.

My stay at the Fairfield Inn Fossil Creek was pleasant but not excellent. While the location is convenient to shopping and easy access to the highways it is noisy. Stayed a week and did not get one good night's rest. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated (quickly) some that there was saw dust still on fixtures in the room (see photos). The TP holder was falling out of the wall, the fire/smoke detector was missing and there was tape around fixtures in the ceiling... The staff are excellent and take time to great you. Snacks on site are limited so head over to the 7-11 to stock up.

I really don't even know where to begin.. Booked this hotel through Expedia, got to hotel and had a hard time getting in front door as it was broken and didn't want to open, this is the main door to the lobby mind you were you come in with all your stuff to check in, didn't have reservation correct and room was not what we paid for, after talking with woman who told us she was the manager she put us in correct room but made it a point to tell us how cheap we were getting it and couldn't believe how little we were paying per night... We get to the room and notice is not like the pictures, it's very run down and not cared for at all. We didn't have the privacy curtains on the windows so we had to deal with bright lights from parking lot that lit our room up like daylight. The tub and shower were gross, toilet had pubic hairs on it and other things, everything is broken all around the room, fridge barely got cold after two days. The breakfast wasn't anything special and the staff throughout our time there were very rude except one female who was very nice one night we were there. Aside from her, no one wanted to be bothered, looked at or talked to. On day three of five we got call when we were out with our family for after wedding gatherings and we were asked why we haven't yet vacated our room and was supposed to be out the morning before. Of course this set me into a tailspin and i explained to the woman that we are here until Thursday and here it is Tuesday morning. She was rude about it and accusatory and asked us what we wanted to do about picking up our belongings. I asked if she was the manager and she said she was and so I attempted to remind her she checked us in and put us in correct room and what not and she told me she didn't know what i was talking about. After a bit more discussion at a raised tone level we realized the woman who checked us in was not a manager after all and this woman on the phone made that crystal clear like i offended her by telling her what the woman who checked us in had told us. We didn't even get an apology what so ever. So when we got to the room it was clear someone had come in and through our stuff and they turned off our ac unit. We are in Texas and it's been in the 90's and it's hot and the room was hot compared to the way we left it. This morning we were woken up to no power and heat rising until the power came back on, after checking around it was just here and not a local area thing. I am utterly disgusted with this place. I would NEVER stay here again even if for free. I would give this minus stars if i could. I will be calling corporate to air my complaints.

Except they're greedy and want to screw people who have to go to the hospital or business nearby. The hotel: it's pretty clean. Parking isn't a big deal but they have a parking garage adjacent to the hotel. It said parking was free on the 3rd and 4th floor but I didn't get a chance to see if that was true. I sadly have the blue placard of hurt. So yeah, they even charge for handicapped spaces. Legal? Don't know honestly. Ethical? No freaking way. My room was clean. Nice and pretty consistent for a garden inn. Allowed you to control the fan speed and make it constant. Which was a nice surprise. The gym was the shocker. They had one ty of equipment to get in a quick workout. Not typical for Hiltons. But I'll take it. Would I stay here again? Hell. No. 15 bucks for parking without any warning. Just a surprise bill charge. I travel a lot and i'd rather stay at a Marriott property that doesn't take blatant advantage of people going to the nearby hospital. But here are some photos anyway.

I wish the weekday bfast ended a bit later 9:30am instead of 9am. At the lobby there is a coffee shop where you can also pick up salads, fruit and jello cups and juices. 3 elevators mean not much waiting to get to your room. Parking is by valet, a bit expensive at $60, but the valets are fast. Cheaper parking nearby means you have to deal with hauling luggage. It's a it hard to get to the entrance - look for the E symbol on the parking cones on the street. The rooms were western themed, with cowboy centric art pieces, which I thought was a nice touch. The rooms also had nice amenities (mini fridge, water, coffee, etc.) which is always great. I only deducted a star because the bathroom sink had a bit of an unpleasant odor at times and the mirror was a little rusty in areas. On another note, the hotel also has restaurants onsite which is a bonus. Also just to note, the staff were very professional, but also polite which I really appreciated as these days you don't get that everywhere.

The hotel itself is beautiful and has that big, upscale Texas hotel feel. The lobby is impressive, and the bar setup is especially nice, a great spot to grab a drink and hang out in the evening. It feels lively, but never overwhelming. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Service was solid throughout the stay, not over the top, but consistently friendly and helpful. Only reason for four stars is the sheer size of the place. Be ready to walk, because getting from the parking garage to the lobby, and then from the lobby to the rooms, can feel like a bit of a trek, especially with luggage after a long game day. Overall, a very nice stay, and I would definitely come back, just mentally preparing for the steps next time.

I booked my stay at the Crescent Hotel in Fort Worth through the American Express Fine Hotels +…read moreResorts program and had very high expectations. Unfortunately, while the property itself is beautiful, my overall experience was deeply disappointing. Check-in started on a positive note. I was greeted with a glass of champagne and the front desk staff were warm and welcoming. However, things quickly went downhill from there. I was never provided a welcome letter outlining my Fine Hotels + Resorts benefits or basic hotel information. I didn't realize this until I reached my room and wanted to use some of the amenities. When I returned to the front desk to request one, I was told none were available and was directed to scan a QR code instead. The QR code only linked to the in-room dining menu and restaurant reservation pages, which was not a substitute for the information typically provided with an FHR stay. Upon arrival at my room, the staff member assisting with my luggage repeatedly called me by the wrong last name and made multiple comments about my ethnicity, including saying my name sounded Indian but that I "didn't look Indian," followed by personal questions about my background. While I believe the intent may have been friendly, it felt inappropriate and uncomfortable. The room and property are undeniably stunning, but several functional issues made the stay frustrating. All of the lights, including those in both bathrooms, appeared to be controlled by motion sensors or timers that could not be adjusted. While getting ready, the lights repeatedly turned off, forcing me to stop styling my hair and walk around the room just to trigger the sensors. This became extremely disruptive and inconvenient. Additionally, the main desk in the living room, which was the primary power source in the suite, did not work at all. After attempting to troubleshoot myself, it appeared to be broken entirely. Because this was one of the only areas with multiple outlets, I had to charge devices in random locations throughout the room. Communication with the hotel was also extremely difficult. The in-room phone repeatedly lost connectivity and died while I was attempting to place orders. I texted the hotel to report the issue, yet staff continued trying to call the malfunctioning room phone instead of my cell phone, despite me explaining the situation multiple times. Calling the hotel directly from my mobile phone often resulted in busy signals. The most frustrating part occurred after checkout. I was incorrectly charged nearly the full nightly rate despite having prepaid through American Express. When I called to resolve this, I was placed on hold for nearly 35 minutes after being told it would be brief, and no apology was offered. Although I was told the charge would be reimbursed, the refund was incomplete because my American Express breakfast and amenity credits were not properly applied. I had to call again to request an additional correction. Across their website form and multiple phone calls, I was never initially provided a folio detailing my charges. It wasn't until the third call that I spoke with Sarah, who was exceptionally helpful. She went out of her way to email me a PDF folio and personally coordinate the remaining reimbursement. She was the only team member who truly resolved the situation, and I greatly appreciated her professionalism. This was my first visit to Texas, which I noted in my reservation, and I had hoped for recommendations or guidance from the hotel, especially given the Fine Hotels + Resorts experience, but none were offered. It's genuinely disappointing because the Crescent is a beautiful property with so much potential. However, between the service issues, operational problems, billing errors, and lack of follow-through, this was easily my worst Fine Hotels + Resorts experience to date. Considering the price point and expectations associated with this program, the experience ultimately felt frustrating and not reflective of luxury hospitality standards. I truly wish I could have loved this stay.
