Clean modern rooms, awesome workout area, clean modern pool -- no hot tub :-( -- and an amazing Sunday morning breakfast. And have given this particular hotel 3xs to get it right. The staff is often rude, and unprofessional. The cleanliness, I thought was a close 4. Until 4/16/25 when I after diving into bed at 8pm rose to use the restroom. when I turned on the light I realized that I was lying on a 6-7 inch circle formed from a woman's menstrual cycle . I advised by the front desk that I could come get another key to change rooms. But it has nothing to do with them. I asked them to call the manager- they texted her. Use the Bonvoy app to securely pay for my room as I always do. Requested digital key as I always do Hotel refused to provide digital key until time of check Bonvoy app allows you to digitally check in and walk straight to your room per the app. Stephanie the manager refused a digital key, refused to walk out from behind her counter to verify my ID, and canceled my stay this evening The cameras above the check-in have used other locations to fraudulently steal peoples identity. I am a victim of identity fraud, and I refuse to put my ID in front of those cameras. This is my last and final straw with Marriott. To the owner of the property... Marriott is on the front of your building not your private labeled company name. Marriott is who fills your rooms. Marriott is who provides your customers way to use the online website and other ways to check in to your hotel. Marriott rules and regulations allow for guests to digitally check in and walk straight to their room. This would've never happened. I would've never had my room canceled by Stephanie if I would have simply been provided my digital key prior to check in I do more than 150 hotel stays per year. I'm a victim of identity fraud because of the cameras over top of the check-in counter at another property I expressed that about my concern and offered a solution to show I'd outside the camera view. Do not not recommend this hotel if there's any possibility that you might need to checkout early. THIS HOTEL CHARGES A 2-DAY PENALTY FOR EARLY CHECKOUT, even if you pay extra for a cancelable reservation. I am a professional who travels frequently on business. Plans changed & I needed to check out early. This hotel insisted on charging a 2-day early checkout fee. This puts me in a bind because my employer will not reimburse me for a hotel stay if I didn't stay there, leaving me stuck having to pay the $280 early cancellation fee out of my own pocket. I spoke with the manager on duty who was rude and refused to listen to reason. I asked to speak with the general manager and was told she "wasn't coming to work today." I contacted Marriott corporate who contacted the hotel and asked them to remove the fee, but the hotel refused. I travel regularly and have never encountered a hotel that charges a fee for early checkout, unless you get cheaper non-cancellable rate. This hotel also refuses to allow food delivery deliver to your room. Again, a policy that I've never encountered in 18 years of traveling. Very strange because a person can walk in the front door off the street and go anywhere in the hotel, but they stop food delivery at the front desk. I inquired with the night manager about this policy. She was very rude and haughtily stated "I'm just doing my job." Based on this experience, I recommend avoiding this hotel & spending your money with a hotel that actually wants your business. read more

This location was average across the board. Check-in was easy, location was 20 minutes away from where I needed to be. Not that many places to eat that weren't "American" or "fast food"/leaning towards casual, but that's not the fault of the hotel, it's the city itself. The room was ok, I wasn't completely sure it was clean, bed was made but sheets felt slept in. I personally take up very little space on a bed and barely move around, so it's pretty easy to fluff up pillows and put the little corner back in place when I sleep in hotels. This is sparkling new Fairfield right on 33, just a few minutes from the cute downtown area of Goshen. I generally enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend it. The good - clean, comfortable rooms with restful green decor. I especially liked the patterned shades that looked like a fall landscape, much nicer then a parking lot! The lobby is inviting too, full of comfortable chairs, places to work and a decent gym. The standards - free WiFi (no issues), free parking (large lot) and free breakfast. Breakfast is "fine" - it's a pretty basic spread but there's something that will suit most. Staff overall is friendly. The "not good" - noise! I was put on the 2nd floor front facing and really heard the loud assholes above me. Definitely try for a higher floor and rear facing (there's a frequent train). That said, it's s good location with a Walgreens right across the way and tons of places to eat within a short drive. read more

BE ALERT: This Indiana hotel goes by the same name as a Fairfield Inn by Marriott located in Goshen, NY! The email confirmation they send does not specify in the email subject line which state you have booked a room for - it just says Goshen I detailed this very unfortunate mistake to a Marriott representative, who said it's up to the hotel branch what to do. This hotel's supervisor declared that it should have been clear to me in the email which hotel I booked (subject line says Goshen, which indeed is where I intended to book, it does not Indiana) and I was told there's nothing they could do - that I would be charged the FULL AMOUNT of the room I wouldn't be staying in (and the reservation could not be shifted to the correct Marriott Fairfield). There was no negotiating to meet halfway, to give a partial future Fairfield Inn credit, or do anything that could lessen the blow. SCAM ALERT - The Fairfield Inn confirmation email links to its cancelation policy. It specifies the specific dollar amount that will be charged if canceling within 48 hours of the trip. HOWEVER - This hotel supervisor states I will be charged nearly 40% MORE THAN WHAT THEIR OWN CANCELLATION POLICY STATES. This is worse than a bait and switch. SCAM PART II - Staff at both the Goshen Indiana and Goshen NY branches stated that this error happens ALL THE TIME. If it happens so frequently, one should ask why they haven't moved to remedy this. They are making $$$ off a known issue with their two same-named hotels! What I had hoped for: An understanding human who realized I made an unfortunate mistake. What I got: The realization that this has happened to far too many people, the hotel has discretion on how to handle the situation, the hotel fully realizes there is another hotel in its network with the same name and yet continues to allow people to fall into this trap. If your skin is to dark stay AWAY from this hotel especially from Ambur! I have NEVER in my life been treated as me and my husband was treated by this CSR at this location. Came in town bar and hotel hopping before we started our work week to enjoy my Mother's Day and birthday and we were treated with total disrespect and a disgusting attitude from the time I stepped foot in this facility. Then to top it off she speaks with the manager and tells a one sided story that fits her own storyline. I asked Ambur would the manager like to speak with me or can I speak with her...NO I wasn't worthy to be graced by her voice. Ambur , also had already made a comment about "another one playing the race card" to me then stating she has a part of Hispanic in her which I asked what does have to do with being African American and your unjust attitude towards us . I'm still dumbfounded by such a comment! Then she had the audacity to say AGAIN to the manager that I was another one trying to play that card in front of my husband and I. The whole ordeal was just discriminating, humiliating, and unprofessional for any Marriott brand! If you are traveling for business, DO NOT stay at the Fairfield in Goshen! I recently needed three nights a week for several months due to clinicals for my master's program. The university called ahead to arrange my stay and sent me the reservation confirmation. The first night I checked in, the Fairfield refused to use the university's credit card. They stated they required an 'authorization to release' form. This should have been discussed when the university called and made the reservation under my name using their card to pay for the stay. I had to make several phone calls and e-mails to my director, which made me feel like an annoyance. Fast forward to the third night (after me paying two nights out of pocket), finally the authorization form was completed, and I had no issues. The fourth night I checked in without an issue until at 12:30am I received a phone call from my school's director stating the Fairfield just made an $11,820 charge for a one night stay. Apparently, the person who checked me in added two zeros and no one questioned this. The Fairfield did remove the charge and comp'd one night. However due to this error the school will no longer pay for my room. I am now out over $3,000 thanks to the Goshen Fairfield's stunning ineptitude. It's a nice hotel but stay far away if traveling for business, they'll screw up plans every time read more

I always use the app. For some reason I stayed in that hotel in May 26 and they made me prepay for the hotel and when I asked for a receipt they were unable to give me one, claiming that Marriot is a separate third party entity and I need to contact them to get a receipt. Hotel has only been open 6 months or so and is very nice. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms were spacious and clean with modern decor. Very kid friendly. Nice fitness room with treadmills, dumbbells, kettle bells, exercise balls, a bench, etc. Breakfast was coffee, several juices, cold cereal, hot oatmeal with frut and nut toppings, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and omelets. There was also a waffle maker and assorted bagels and pasteries. I can't think of any complaints, so it gets 5 stars. Overall it was a very nice stay for a reasonable price. read more

During a recent stay at this property, my father-in-law slipped and fell in the shower. He fell so hard that it broke the step in the shower into two pieces. While the night attendant tried to assist, which was helpful, they ended up having to call the paramedics because they could not lift him out of the shower where there was a vast amount of urine and blood. I'm so disappointed with how the local manager dealt with this. Jennifer never called us to check in on him, we had to call her. She never offered to comp his room and never offered to pay, on site, for the medical supplies we had to purchase to treat his wounds. My wife, being a registered nurse, thankfully was able to walk across the street to a drug store and purchase a walker for him just so he could walk along with bandages and gauze for his wounds. There is no doubt these things happen in life with elderly parents, I just wish the management team would have been more proactive in their approach instead of saying, "we'll send all of this to corporate and you'll be hearing from them..." The right thing for them to have done was to comp his room, reimburse on the spot for the medical supplies that were required to treat him (which they took a copy of the receipt) and asked to see pictures of his wounds. I've been a Marriott gold member for over a decade and was so disappointed how they handled this situation. Hopefully we'll hear from the Marriott Corporate Team but I doubt it... If you do stay at this property, be sure to ask them for a non-skid mat for the showers; they are incredibly slick. read more

We stayed here on the first night that the hotel opened. Checked in late at night because we were having vehicle issues and couldn't find a room in South Bend. Fortunately, we found a room in Goshen and we were lucky to find a room at this place. This is a great hotel. The rooms were modern and clean. Very comfortable beds! Staff was friendly and more than willing to make sure our stay was pleasant. They have a beautiful breakfast area that was clean and lots of options for families with children. Book this hotel for a stay for 2 days. Realized it wasn't the correct Fairfield inn that was close to where we were going so I cancelled the reservation before the 3 days before your stay to get a refund. Have gone back and forth with them since beginning of August to get my refund they tried to say there is no refunds but I emailed the reservation where it says I can get a refund as long as I cancelled more than 3 before the date of checkin which I did. Went back and forth they will look into it waited a week then spoke to someone else another week goes by same thing again speak to someone else another week goes by. I'm literally fighting for almost 2 months now to receive my refund. Finally someone said on September 8 you are going to get a refund within 7-10 days. Now it is almost 2 weeks and still no refund this has been some of the worst customer service that I've seen there is no repercussion for the hotel and that's the sad thing. read more
