It's noisy. Loud vehicles are easily heard, trains are easily heard.. hotel is dated. Staff does the best they can.

If you are traveling and need good rest go somewhere else major thoroughfare at one end and train tracks within 10-20 feet of the hotel at the other end, if you need something the front desk girl will act like you are bothering her not only that but had to stand at the front desk for 10 minutes while she smoked and played on her phone said she couldn't see me around the corner but if she was paying attention she would have realized I stood infront of the door looking directly at her. read more

I had breathing issues for two days from the mold and mildew. I planned on staying here at this hotel several times over the course of the next four years as it's two blocks from my kids college. had a decent stay at the Fairfield Inn in Lima last night. despite our very late check in (12:10am), the front desk worker was friendly and greeted us with waters. we had to be out by 8am to travel, but the room was clean, nice and there was free breakfast. i will say you can definitely hear the people above you moving around as we were stuck below someone who stomped all night and gave me a nice wake up call. despite that, it was a great less than 8 hour stay. read more

Room was okay, clean. Housekeeping only dumped our trash once in a 4-day stay. Understaffed. The last night of our stay there were people running up and down the halls, slamming doors and people stomping overhead. Good thing I had Xanax to put me to sleep. Breakfast was good. Signout clerk was excellent. Intake clerk was excellent. Got home and checked my bank for the billing, which I had a paper receipt for. Bank said $430, paper receipt was for $369, which was what I had originally agreed to. I called to speak to manager and after 4 tries to get someone to answer the phone, I got someone who said he couldn't review my account. Said he would give a message to the manager and have her call me back. No callback. I called again later - manager supposedly just left. Left message again. Checked bank again the next day and it was back to the original price. Wonder if they try to cheat everyone like this? read more

This place is DUMP! The lobby is dirty. It took awhile for someone to come out from back to check me in. There was used soap from the previous occupant was still in the shower soap dish! There was dried blood on the handle of the toilet! There was blood stains on the comforter! I was supposed to be there for 5 nights, I got the heck out of there the next morning! Absolute trash it.. it took the woman literally 20 min to come from the back. The short chubby lady who claim to be the general manager, literally looked like she woke up from sleeping. Seeing that i had to knock on the office door repeatedly. Then she proclaims that my reservation had been cancelled earlier this morning. And i challenged her on that and she continued to make up lies. Then her excuse was she was in night audit. Then she again tried to tell me my reservation was cancelled this morning. Guys i made the reservation at 7:17pm cst. So she tried her best to stick by the lie. The place looks like a dump anyway so she probably saved me from making the biggest mistake by staying there. Get staff that know how to do their job and want to work. She is horrible and should be fired. We both know the general manager doesn't work the night audit so stop claiming to be someone you're not. In town for a weekend wedding and was told that this was close to the reception venue so I booked 2 nights. The place was modern, the front desk staff friendly. They offered free breakfast, which I took advantage of both day. I was impressed with the choices, I was able to eat without being loaded with carbs as there were scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs and breakfast sausage and all important coffee. The seating area was a nice size and clean. What I didn't like. In fact it was awful was the musty smell of the room. Definitely air conditioning related. There was no water leaking so it must have happened previously. It was bad enough that my clothes left out if my luggage reeked when I returned home. I imagine anyone with an allergy would have been in distress. I was stuck in that room seeing as because of the wedding I was told they were full. Not because I complained but during conversation while checking in. I have to give a big kudos to housekeeping and the desk staff, every encounter with them was nothing short of spectacular. Sad that the smell would have been 5 stars if not for the smell prevented this from being 5 stars. read more

Lima's Fairfield Inn is the cleanest hotel I've ever visited -- cleaner than the Waldorf, cleaner than Chicago's W, cleaner than Luxor and Bellagio. It's CRAZY clean. The WiFi is free, but it cuts in and out when you try to download ... umm ... research films. Weird. If you stay here, bring a swimsuit. The hotel has an indoor pool and hot tub. And the continental breakfast includes microwavable sausage and egg biscuits. They're pretty good! Single-bed rooms run $90 a night, which is a little steep for me. But when the company's paying for it, I'm all about Fairfield. read more

Urban hotel. I have no complaints about the room, but it's an urban hotel with no protection from street noise. It's too noisy from traffic noise, including heavy trucks. Not conducive to sound sleeping. The room had a musty smell, which is uncharacteristic for a Marriott. I wouldn't stay here again. read more

Excellent customer service! Everyone was very nice! My car broke down, I had it towed to an auto shop, spent $20 in towing. I told the hotel about it and they took $20 off the hotel room price, which helped very much! Anything I needed they helped a lot! Check out is noon, I even requested a late check out time. Due to my car situation. I had to wait for family to come pick me up lol so the hotel said You can stay in your room till your family comes. They came and picked me up around 6:30pm...I am greatly appreciative that the hotel did all this for me :) will stay again in the future! read more

This place is an old smelly sock near the train trax. Bring blankets and pillows and sleep in your car as it has to be better than the bed!
