Greetings from Palm Desert except as of yesterday!!!! I wanted to have enough time to write a fab review from this mini Vacay experience I booked for my family hence I dragged the review till I got back home. First of, What a great deal I found via Booking.Com & it was a very secure website. The one tiny issue was I wasn't offered the option with the bathtub @ check-in. I didn't experience Any of the problems as some other non-Elite Yelp users did, so I wasn't sure what they were referring to. Except I took only 1-star away because of the thin walls & I was surrounded by visitors with loud kids. I kinda just let that go bc I was reading Others' Yelp reviews while that was happening but thankfully, the noise level didn't last for a long time. I guess I booked this trip properly through a third party?! The room I stayed in, 216 was extremely clean~I especially loved the tiny pillow that was placed on the bed & wished it was a souvenir lol. The breakfast~was very exquisite~the staff that was helping me with making the waffles was beyond friendly & a helper guy who helpfully handed me a fork when I couldn't reach for it from the back of me was very genuinely kind as well. This hotel will be my new go-to whenever I decide coming back here again via the next mini Vacay. Can't wait~maybe I'll try a different city's 'Fairfield Inn.' W2G. read more

Today, the power went out, and we desperately needed somewhere to take our small children for the day. The staff here was so helpful in finding us a room and showing us where we can find amenities. We stay at Marriott every weekend so when we planned our weekend away in Palm Springs we chose Fairfield Marriott in Palm Desert which we will not in the future. First contact was on the phone and the customer service was appalling. The gentlemen who answered the phone had no desire to even listen to my request , was short and repeated his "script". When we checked in the temperature was the same. Not welcome to Marriott, not thank you for choosing Marriott. The location lacks any desert views and surrounded by businesses ( our preference are views which was my fault for not researching). The lack of customer service is the main contributor for us not staying here in the future. read more

We have been here for 3 nights and are checking out today . We really enjoyed our stay here . Rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. Staff was nice & helpful . This a newer hotel so hotel is in great shape. We enjoyed going in the hot tub & pool . I did get sick from the air conditioning. After having a reservation for 4 months with a Fairfield Marriot in Indio and that being a total nightmare very VERY unprofessional or competent staff when we showed up with our friends at 3 pm we were told rooms we not ready and they let us leave our bags. when we returned to check in at around 4:45 we were told they had over booked and did not have our rooms and sent us to their sister company 15 to 20 minutes further away The Residence Inn... when we got there we were then told they only had one room with one bed....(wait what!) this was completed 4 months ago.... we were pissed and now running late for the concert... we called This Hotel as it was right down the street and we were now out of town without a place to stay... called this location they were very professional set up our 2 rooms Check in no problem. nice clean room. very happy with the whole experience.*note to self never depend on The marriot in Indo or residence inn on Cook in Palm desert. read more

Yes this is a brand new hotel. It looks great inside and out. The room is actually nicer and has more amenities than the Renaissance Palm Springs. Bathrooms were surprisingly well done. It's also very convenient off the 10 and many places to eat across the street. However, being "new" doesn't mean your stay will be enjoyable. With new construction now days, including a condo I used to live in, everything has to be "green". ie. Environmentally friendly. Which I have learned actually means, cheap materials and cutting corners How? The walls and flooring above you might as well be made out of paper. We heard entire conversations of our neighbors next door. No, not just mumbled noise, I'm talking clear as day conversation of a couple talking to someone on Facetime about pet sitting their dog. But that wasn't even bad. What was bad is the baseball team that had multiple rooms at this hotel that conveniently were directly above us. The first time I heard a slam come from above, I literally thought it was an explosion. I opened up the drapes to look outside. Nothing. Thought I had imagined it and went back to resting. From 4pm-11:30pm at night the kids upstairs made insane amount of noise. I must say, that was NOT the hotels fault. I complained once and the front desk did all they could to get them to stop. And having been that kid at a hotel with my team at one point of my life, it was very hard to get too upset. So I did what I could, the hotel did as they were trained to do and I just dealt with it knowing it was just one night. Next morning, free breakfast! Yay! Welp, nope. Food was all gone by 8:30am. Guess we were too late. Not enough food. Not enough employees there to keep things stocked. All juices in the machine had turned to water. Eggs gone. Bacon gone. Cups everywhere. Cereal everywhere. A total disaster, and I assume the baseball team played a big role in this. I get it. Not mad. We went across the street to JT's and had a legit breakfast but if people are paying extra for that breakfast in the morning, it needs to be better managed than that with more attentive staff. One staff member isn't enough. Anyway, not a great stay. Again, yes it's new. But poorly built with no sound proofing and a questionable free breakfast. I'll stay somewhere else next time. Marriott has the best trained staff though. They were awesome. read more

My wife and I's experience at this hotel was nothing but immaculate, despite it being so short. We virtually only stayed here to sleep on a weekend trip to Phoenix, AZ a while back, and despite not being able to use the room much, our experience was perfect. The room was cozy, the beds were soft and comfortable, the atmosphere of the hotel was great, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast in the morning was great, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth and simple! We will definitely be back here next time we are in Palm Desert, you can't go wrong! read more

DO NOT make a reservation at this hotel if there's even a remote chance you can't make the trip within 2 days of your reservation date. I got terribly sick the night before and couldn't make the trip. Called Marriott who made a case file and sent it to the hotel. They suggested I call the hotel and speak with the manager who apparently had the final decision, which I did. The manager, Chad Michael, refused to refund my money and told me that there was no exception that would be made. I will never stay at this hotel again and will instruct my fellow colleagues to do the same as my company spends many days in the area for business. Absolutely ridiculous that an exception wouldn't be made. DO NOT stay here, because if you have to cancel, stay good bye to your hard earned money. read more

The Plastic lobby feels like a nice dormitory, especially with all the young international tourists staying there. There was nothing above average here. I booked with Expedia and believe there's lots of fake glowing reviews . Marriott is very aggressive in their marketing and they've hired people to write fake glorified reviews. The glowing reviews did NOT correspond with what we found at the hotel Supposedly the staff goes out of their way for guests. A high school girl checked us in . It was a long wait and she proceeded to put us in a room without a tub. I told her twice I wanted a room with a tub!!!!! It's $200 p night , an average hotel , far far far far far far far far far far far far far away from Palm Springs, at a way too inflated price. There's nothing in the immediate area worth seeing , very much out in the middle of nowhere!!!! Shame on you Marriot for posting FAKE ads!!! read more

Brand new hotel and it shows. The carpet is fresh, towels are the softest I've ever felt at a hotel and check in was fast. There are a few clean air vehicle hook ups and parking spots in the lot. Like another reviewer posted, covered spots with solar panels would be nice in the desert heat to shade our vehicles. Oh well, too late I guess. There were a few quirks to the room: When we entered room 424 during the daytime I tried to turn the hall light and desk lamps on but they wouldn't light. A quick call to the front desk revealed that the lights are "smart" and wouldn't turn on unless the room was darkened (we had to close the black out curtains to test this). NEVER would have figured this quirk out in the daytime but I probably would have recognized this at night. The shower head is low flow so it took me longer to shower and get all the shampoo out of my hair. I was disappointed in this, but accept it because I live in California anyway and we're big about conserving water. The walls seem to be VERY thin, however. We heard the neighbors' TV and what sounded like sawing or closing of doors. It was pretty distracting. I've come to expect noise at any hotel so it wasn't surprising but something to note. Great location, it's close to gas stations and a few fast food joints (Jack in the Box, Carls Jr.) and it's close to Interstate 10 for a quick exit. read more

This is a new hotel, built just this year. It's clean and modern, with plenty of parking. Sidebar - The hotel is randomly located next to a DMV office, which if we had known and the foresight, the husband and I would've brought the appropriate paperwork and gone to get our RealID, as this DMV does not look like it gets as busy as most other DMV offices. The service overall is excellent, with a special shout out to Denise, who goes above and beyond to make sure you have a nice stay. She also has great recommendations on things to do in the Coachella Valley. The breakfast spread is solid: waffle maker, scrambled eggs, cheese omelettes, bacon and sausage (sometimes even vegan sausage), hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, toast/bagels, slices of cake, yogurt, cereal, and fresh fruit. On the days we stayed, they had cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, and strawberries. They also have coffee available all day. The only minor observation/complaints are that room service for our room 405 took place in the late afternoon as opposed to mid morning; the AC/thermostat was wonky; the walls are thin; and the toilet flushes kind of weird - gurgles upwards before flushing down. read more

I didn't deal with anyone else this weekend other than the "Lovely" Cheryl. Do not work in a position where you need to be considerate and have a small percentage of customer service. This review is just to state that greeting someone as they walk in with "I'm really not happy to see your face" after you've had numerous issues in less than 24 hours is disrespectful. These issues began because of your lack of work ethic, and stating there is no manager on site to save your ass. This will be reaching the very top of corporate until they understand how disrespectful you were to our friends and family who booked FIVE rooms @ this hotel. One, which you claim you "accidentally" gave their reservation away and they were left without a room. Smirking as she's apologizing, for making the mistake. Then claiming on your system it was a cancellation. Someone else's card was charged with my room when I read my receipt that I received @ 12:36 AM the night before I check out. (It's automated). Not a 5 star hotel obviously, but a 5 star experience. Looked like a newer hotel. The room was fresh and clean. The bed and pillows were great. They had HBO on demand. Fast WiFi. I forgot a razor so the front desk gave me one. Though I was behind the elevators, I heard nothing. The breakfast was great. The water pressure from the shower was great. The side lighting on the bathroom mirror was horrible. My gal could barely see to put her makeup on. read more

My brother and I stayed here March 19-23. The room was just fine. The parking was adequate and convenient. The staff was friendly, professional and always helpful. There were three issues. 1. There was no housekeeping service in the rooms. So, no fresh towels, no cleaning/vacuuming and no made beds. There was no advanced warning of this when I made the reservation or when we checked in. I did not see a housekeeping cart or housekeepers during our entire stay. I called the lobby desk, requested fresh towels and a very nice person brought up a generous supply. 2. The carpet in the hall outside the rooms was not clean and I sensed the common areas were not as clean as what I have experienced at other Marriott properties. There was trash on the ground outside of the east-facing ground-floor door near the gym and it remained there throughout our stay. 3. There was no coffee service in the lobby until the last day of our stay. The hotel ran out of K-Cups and our in-room Keurig machine was broken and no replacement was forthcoming. read more

Basic hotel. Not a lot of amenities. Right off the freeway adjacent to a DMV and the California desert. Driving distance from local Palm Springs tourist stuff. Not super impressive. Part of a new development. Ran into a problem with our bedding. The comforter/bedspread was stained and gross. By the time we noticed it, it was late and no one was available to help. The room was obviously not cleaned thoroughly. During Covid, this was deeply disturbing and misleading when the hotel boasts how it is cleaning thoroughly and sanitizing high-touch areas. I pulled out the one chair in the room, at the desk, and there were two, large silicone nipple patches on the chair. If the chair was even pulled out, let alone wiped down, they would have been seen if cleaning. It would have been disgusting pre-pandemic but in these times it is dangerous that rooms are not being cleaned. read more

Whenever my husband or I work odd hours we book a room here because it's right off the freeway and it lets us cut out our hour-long commute when needed. So affordable and always clean with very friendly staff! I like that there is a separate living space so I dont have to sit in bed if I have to work. I love that there is a coffee pot and fridge in the room! Also a perk: breakfast is included with your stay and includes quite the spread! Whether youre looking for a quick cup of coffee, fruit and yogurt, toast, a bagel or cereal youre squared away. Want a hot breakfast? Great! Eggs, bacon and waffles are also available. Very comfortable lobby with ample seating and a pretty wide variety of snacks in the lobby concession area. read more

Loved this hotel! We stayed here for three nights during the weekend of Stagecoach - the staff was so on top of everything! We were able to check in early on Friday without any trouble. They gave us cute little "Hangover Cure" bottle upon check-in (nice touch!). When we got to our room I was happy to see that it was perfectly clean and spacious. Additionally, the breakfast they offered every morning was pretty good for a hotel breakfast! (There is also a Starbucks right next door, if you want anything else) Even with the hotel being fully-booked for stagecoach, they kept everything well stocked and had good options for food. The pool was also pretty decent, and a perfect temp for the hot, desert weather. Every time we had any sort of question the staff was able to assist us and seemed happy to do so. It's also nice that this hotel is so close to the freeway. Would definitely stay here again! read more

I do not recommend staying at this facility. The elevators were not working properly and I believe there may have been a safety issue. I requested change of linen each day but this was honored only once during the 5 day stay. The manager did not seem to care, just shrugged his shoulders. read more

Tub was clogged. No electricity around 2-4am, my mom uses a cpap machine and she was awaken in the middle of the night because her cpap just turned off. She tried to turn on the lights but there was no power. AC was also off. Spoke to the lady in the front desk the next day and was told that per manager due to California electricity saving, plugs/electricity will turn off automatically when there's no motion. Was told that they will send somebody from engineering to fix it and also send somebody to fix the drain of the tub. 2nd night and same thing happened again. No electricity around 2-4am. Tub still clogged. Went to front desk to complain, was refused of any compensation because I booked the reservation from a 3rd party site (booking.com). They offered to transfer us to a different room but we were already checking out that day. So much inconvenience. read more

We stood here during my cousins wedding weekend. The staff was friendly and kind. Everyone attend to what we needed. We had a decent continental breakfast from 7-10. There was an abundance of parking. The housekeepers were very sweet and ensure we had clean towels even though we didn't want our rooms clean. They kept checking on us to ensure we were ok. Decided to leave town from all the madness in Los Angeles during this whole quarantine ordeal. We came to get away for 5 days. Upon check in we were greeted by the general manager Edgar. His calm and professional demeanor was so nice after a long drive. He went above and beyond to assure everything was good with our room. He upgraded us, then called to ask if the room was fine and if we needed anything else, followed by an email to let us know if we needed anything to just ask. It's great service like this and great people like Edgar that makes this hotel stand above the rest. This world needs more kind humans like Edgar. Great stay! Peaceful just like we needed. read more

What can I say, all positive things about my stay here with my family for 3days. From walking in being greeted by receptionist to my walk to the room. VERY CLEAN! The bathroom, bedding, sheets was clean plenty of towels. Came with microwave and a min refrigerator. The breakfast was complementary to the stay, and I must say the food was good my family was pleased. Now my only negative thing about our stay here was every door was super heavy and very hard to open ( security purposes) they say. The struggle was real trying to get out of the doors. And holding it open with luggage in one hand and the door in the other. Being a mom multi tasking isn't going to work with kids and those doors. Anyway YES I WILL VISIT AGAIN! read more
