    Bed bugs in room

    Woke up early Christmas morning to Bed bug crawling on my pillow. I went and got the front desk clerk who saw it s as well and took a picture and informed the manager. I made an incident report and checked out. 2 days later I had not heard anything from the manager Kara. I return to property to speak with . This lady truly insulted me by stating she don't know what that is and pest control say they are not in the room.... Well what is this ??? I was scratching all night and now I know why! Very disappointed in Marriott and the way this was handled is definitely not their standard!

    This was an overnight stop, so wasn't expecting or needing much. Left with a smile on my face, because, as the saying goes, so many employees gave me one of theirs. Even a maintenance worker who rode the elevator with us was pleasant. I suspect that when companies treat employees well, they radiate that happiness to guests. The front desk clerk told us what time her shift was ending, who was next to work the desk, and when she was working the next morning. She was warmly efficient. The hotel location was perfect, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and free breakfast the next morning made getting on the road quickly an easy task. And, best shower pressure of any hotel I've stayed at in a long time.

    The front desk staff was very helpful. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean and the breakfast was really good!

This was really nice. This wonderful employee advised me of the amenities, including the free breakfast in the morning starting at 6 AM. My room was exceptionally clean, the bed was super comfortable, and I loved the three pillows on the king bed. The couch was comfy to watch the big screen look like 52 inch TV, that that produced amazing colors on the welcome screen, even though I didn't watch anything else The refrigerator was a nice touch, to keep my travel items cool during my stay. Also included with a dishwasher and microwave, along with a stainless steel sink. I loved the bathroom with the showerhead and the ease of getting in and out of the shower. Plenty of towels were on the end, even though I didn't take any! This room was somewhere around $160 for the night and well worth it. It's clean, there's no bugs. There's no worries, the breakfast is great, the personnel are so welcoming and gracious. There are plenty of choices for dining out around here, but I noticed most were fast food. Last time here was Popeyes stay away from that, the place was grungy and dirty. All in all, this is a great stop traveling to, and from Florida

I'm not sure they even cleaned it after the last guest (pictured). So on top of the nasty cleaning, I get to smell feet all night. Just what I want after a full day of driving. Absolutely horrendous. Oh, and the right-side elevator has a pneumatic issue, so enjoy the ride. Makes me want to ignore my Hilton Gold and book elsewhere.

Because we've been working on the road for three months now and driving hundreds of miles most days, we specifically booked this hotel because of its advertised hot tub, paying a higher price for the accommodation than other area hotels in order to treat our backs, sore from all the driving. To make sure the hot tub was working and available, I wrote to the hotel the day before to make sure it was operational and they wrote back to tell me that it was. I did this before the cancellation window closed, just to be sure. When we checked in the next day, they told us the hot tub was not working. I told the clerk that the reason we booked this particular hotel at a higher price than surrounding hotels was specifically for the hot tub. Then I showed them the message that they wrote to me yesterday saying the hot tub was working. The clerk's response was simply "it WAS working yesterday." Wonderful. They told me they'd be happy to cancel my reservation and suggested I find another hotel. As a seasoned traveler, I always book hotels well in advance in order to get the best price and the greatest availability. Here it was 3 o'clock on the day I needed the hotel and I could find nothing comparable to what I thought I was getting at best Western Plus in Richmond Hill Georgia. They could have offered me partial compensation, points, or something other than "we'll cancel this and you can go find another hotel." I'm taking their false advertising issue to the Better Business Bureau, and I would not recommend anyone stay in this hotel if they want to be assured that they'll get what they paid for.

My room was clean and in working order. The shower head was not too strong, because the pull trigger only worked half way. The desk was wobbly, but I didn't really need to use it. The room was big in my opinion. The breakfast was pretty good. I did not encounter the mean lady from the previous comments. There were plenty of food to choose from. Coffee was strong. The location is right off the highway. Very easy to get in and out. Will stay here again if needed.

Spoke with the manager but she would not make an exception since we booked the "non-cancellable" rate. I can understand this if I was a first time customer or cancelled the night before; but as a IHG Silver Elite member 10 days in advance - this was not the response I anticipated. There are several other hotels nearby so I guess next time we'll try one of them. Poor customer service provided to a Silver Elite member. Oops - so sorry this was the wrong location. This hotel did in fact process my refund. It was the location in Roanoke Rapids that refused to refund my night. Sorry Richmond Hill - we will be returning to your location!

The room was dated - which would not have been an issue being that this is a value motel. But it didn't seem clean. Armchair was worn and sunken. Bathtub was stained, bedding was worn. Y'know it's kinda bad when you are hesitant to lay anything on the floor or even on the armchair or bed. I put all my things on the desk and made sure whatever food I had leftover was wrapped well before trashing it so bugs wouldn't be attracted. The electrical outlet by the bed was wonky - it sparked a bit when I plugged in my phone charger so I plugged it in elsewhere. So, oddly enough it seemed like the room was in the process of being renovated - it had a granite bathroom counter and LVP flooring. All that aside...the common grounds were well-manicured. The pool, firepit, volleyball court & outdoor seating areas were inviting. Front desk people were friendly. Breakfast was standard American continental fare.

There was water puddles near the window I don't know if there is a leak but that room should not be allowed to be rented out until the issues are addressed. We have used Quality Inn in the past but in the future I will have to personally inspect before committing. $80.60 is highway robbery for such a room.

The desk clerks -- you can only go into a telephone booth size foyer for checking in or out -- barely speak to you. Certainly no "thank yous" for being Diamond Members, etc. Check out the photos we posted -- overflowing garbage everywhere, dirty bathrooms, walls falling apart, broken furniture, etc. Linens and towels appeared to be clean. Check-in: Quick and efficient. Room: Spacious enough for 2 adults and two dogs. The furniture was not dusty and the linens were clean. One of the quilts had a cigarette burn but I could tell the quilt was washed. No need to throw away an entire quilt for a small burn spot that won't affect my sleep. The towels looked clean but I recommend bringing your own. I used the hairdryer and it worked perfectly well. It was also convenient to have a clean and functional fridge and microwave. AC: It cools off perfectly and it wasn't noisy. Noise: It was quieter than expected. We did not have issues with loud guests, car alarms, or loud music. Food: Nonexistent at this time. The breakfast area continues to be closed because of COVID. Pets: This hotel accepts pets for $20/day per pet. However, it is not clear what the fee is for. I walked to the lobby to request more toilet paper, which was provided by a lady that did not say a word. I called during my last day to request a late check-out. The lady that answered coldly said "ok, but no more than 12 pm." I thanked her and she just hung up. While my requests were met, how I was attended was awkward - almost as if I was inconveniencing them. TL;DR: Good enough hotel for a short and cheap stay. Bring your towels and low customer service expectations.
