This hotel is definitely not your typical brand-new, cookie-cutter Hilton. Instead, it's housed in an older historic building, and you can feel that charm the moment you walk through the front doors and even as you make your way to your room. Embassy Suites has always been one of my favorite hotel brands because I love having a separate living room and bedroom, along with the little bar area. This property was especially cute, and I thought the decor perfectly complemented the age and character of the building. The location was also great--not right in the middle of all the downtown action, but close enough to easily enjoy everything the area has to offer. We only stayed one night, but it's definitely a place I'd like to return to for a longer visit. Be prepared to pay a $40 a day to park your vehicle, which I think is a load of BS. As Hilton Diamond members, we're accustomed to receiving bottled water or occasionally a small welcome gift. Surprisingly, the hotel was completely out of bottled water. Considering how hot it was outside, I was a little disappointed that there wasn't at least a water station set up for guests. That's something many hotels provide and would have been appreciated. Breakfast was extremely busy during our visit. The line for the omelet station was far longer than I was willing to wait for, but I have to give credit to the two cooks working the station. They were absolutely hustling, managing multiple pans at once while keeping up with a steady stream of orders. Bravo to them! I ended up keeping it simple with eggs, potatoes, bacon, coffee, and orange juice. Coffee is non-negotiable for me, and thankfully it hit the spot. The breakfast seating area is spacious, and since my husband was still sleeping, I grabbed a seat at the bar and enjoyed a quiet breakfast by myself. Most importantly, our room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city. Don't stay here - what a ripoff. I stayed one night traveling. When I got to my room it was over 80 degrees - the AC was turned off. Next morning when I checked out I was hit with a $50 parking charge for one night. My $190 room ended up costing over $350. read more

The check in staff was very friendly and helpful with tourist information. Definitely professional and represent Embassy Suites very well. Check in was swift, accurate and quick. Gym and swimming pool were very cleaned and well maintained. Parking was $40/day, at the indoor parking structure just opposite the hotel, just one minute walk away. The hotel rooms were clean and well cleaned up every single day. Thank you housekeeping crew. Loved the breakfast especially the computer system for the omelets line. That was excellent! Simple system: you typed in what you choose for ingredients, then the receipt printed out, you grabbed a number. The chefs cooked your omelets, the server walked it to your table. I come to this location 2-3 times a month for work. The staff members are amazing!! Reatha checked on me via text on my second day and that was amazing! I couldn't use my card to get out the garage but they were able to fix it immediately and they didn't make me feel like I was a bother! Chelsea I believe is the person that checked me in and even though it was 10pm she was still smiling and very nice. Although this location could use some upgraded furniture in the rooms I always enjoy my stay and I'll be back soon! read more

Got the pleasure to spend the week while on a conference trip and was very pleased with the service and the room I stayed in. I enjoyed the cocktail hour that my family and I was invited to every night during my stay here. It started every evening from 5pm to 7pm. ( wife and I were given 2 complimentary drinks) additionally, we had complimentary little snacks and dips that we could enjoy with our drinks that always changed each night. The gym was a decent size for a hotel, with your standard equipment you would find in a hotel. However, the quality of the gym equipment is what you would find in a nice membership gym. I was able to get a good workout while enjoying the view of the outdoor pool. The pool is nice and my son loved going everyday we were here. We both also enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. The one set back experience I have to mention is that it looks like there is a project living area nearby, where a lot of the buildings are boarded up and looks run down. During one of my trips down the pool with my son, a large group of boys from the projects jumped over the fence (it's not hard to get into the pool area) and made a mess of the pool, tossing the pool towels into the pool, jumping into the pool and making a ruckus. Management did eventually come, however by then the boys had ran away, leaving a mess behind. The hotel was beautiful and immaculate! Our room was very comfortable. Our thermostat was a little inconsistent. It was hard to warm up. If my husband thought its was cool then it was too cool. Surprisingly our room was serviced while we were at breakfast! Nice surprise! Since COVID that's not always available. The staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was great. I especially loved the avocado toast with micro greens on Monday morning! I ordered two medium over easy eggs. The chef prepared them perfectly. Happy hour was a joy each evening. Alexis was our bartender. Her personality and skills were on point each evening! The gym was clean and my equipment was in good repair. We were given a suite on the ground floor, which despite being next to the main road was quiet as can be. Lovely comfortable bed, so so shower. The let down to this hotel is the bar. They don't know what they are doing, nor how to make cocktails that the hotel advertises. Seemingly one side is not talking to the other. Great location for downtown however. This property was less than desirable. It requires a deep cleaning and attention to cleanliness by upper management, housekeeping management and staff. It is unacceptable to check into 3 rooms within an hour and all three have visibly dirty and drained carpets. Not to mention other areas of uncleanliness in the room such as hair in the bathroom, mildew on the shower head and dust on the bedroom lamps. I was in 4 rooms that were all poorly cleaned. Clean hotel located in downtown Savannsh. Good location with walking distance to downtown. They have nice comfortable beds and a pull out couch. There's also a restaurant downstairs where you order at the bar. They have a great free breakfast with made to order items including pancakes and omelets although they were very backed up and sometimes it was taking 45 mins for the order. Staff were friendly and helpful at the front desk. There's paid parking available to park at the garage right next to the hotel. read more

The A/C in my room was set at 68 but the room never chilled below SEVENTY-EIGHT in GEORGIA on a 92 degree day. It was sweltering and stuff in the room. You know what I'm talking about if you've been in this situation. One "no visit" by service and then another visit which resolved nothing. It took an HOUR to get a room change. A nice hotel in the Savannah area at a very reasonable rate We decided to visit Savannah on Christmas Eve due to an extended drive that we were making. This hotel offered a remarkably reasonable rate for being in the downtown Savannah area. The hotel has its own parking garage with parking costing $35/night. The design of this hotel is different than most Embassy suites. Most of this chain of hotels have an atrium open from all floors. This is more like other hotels with a large atrium that had a beautiful Christmas tree and palm trees but was not open to all rooms. Check-in was easy. The staff in all parts was very friendly and helpful, from the check-in to the happy hour to the breakfast bar. The room was a king suite on the top floor. It was a true suite with a separate room, a wet bar, and two small refrigerators. The bathroom was large with 2 doors, one that opened to the bedroom and the other to the wet bar area. The dresser in the bedroom was nice but a little large for the room size. You are provided with a card for happy hour and breakfast. Both happy hour and breakfast are enjoyed in the same general area. Breakfast is similar to most other Embassy Suites breakfast setups with your choice of cooked-to-order or pick-from-premade items. We enjoyed our stay with Embassy Suites. The staff was helpful. We used the digital check in and digital key feature so we didn't have much contact with the front desk. The room was clean and roomy. The shower has seating which I really enjoyed. The bed had a crumb like feel near the head of the bed. I didn't see anything but I could feel it. I reported it to housekeeping. The complimentary cooked to order breakfast was great. I especially enjoyed the avocado toast and fresh omelettes. The hotel was within 20 minutes walking distance to everything. After an afternoon out it was nice to return to the complimentary evening reception. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Furthermore, we left a jacket in our hotel room, I called the hotel to locate it and the housekeeping team took care of everything . The staff took care of my jacket and sent it to me at no charge after I was told I would incur a postage fee. I'm thankful for the small things and I really appreciate the respect and courtesy the whole staff provided. We'll be back in June. read more

I have to start this review by saying that Willoe , the employee at the front desk was just awesome, and she (individually) deserves 5-stars. Thank you Willoe, for making our experience with the property that much better & providing outstanding customer service. My previous interaction with the front desk staff, specifically Suvada... was not ideal. She lacked any ounce of customer service skills. I was not greeted as a gold honors member & had to ask for my bag. She was not accommodating. Further, the hotel overall is very old and run down. If your concern is safety, it's located about one block away from trouble. It's also directly across the street from a very busy transit center. I'd never come back. read more

This hotel is okay. Just okay. The rooms are a bit dated, and ours was really not clean. I kept finding used contacts stuck around the room. The furnishings are worn out and permanently stained. It was quiet, and we appreciated that. They advertise a bar, but two of the three nights we were there the bar was closed. The staff were kind, but I wouldn't stay here again. No hot water working in our shower. One block from high crime area. Tape used to either hold bathroom tile on or trying to hide mold.... Maybe both? Water in tub not draining well so be prepared to stand in your dirty shower water. The beds/mattresses are low which is so strange. All of this for about 300.00 with parking fee. It's not a typical Embassy Suites. Some positive details: Toiletries were well stocked as with towels. Good water pressure. Front desk lady was very professional and friendly. Lobby area nice. Probably best to valet since the area is next door to "sketchville," so it's nice they have valet option. Not the worst hotel experience but not the greatest. We have survived 2020 and I'm excited to travel again!! I've already stayed about 10 nights year to date and have another 22 nights booked with Hilton properties through November. Some of the hotels are out of practice with guest service. Case in point is the stay I just completed last weekend in Savannah GA. There was no hot water in our (only) shower. The hotel was not responsive to our concerns and we never had a hot shower during our stay. In addition, they seem to have ghosted me on my follow-up efforts to get a partial refund and/or points to make up for the trouble. Additionally, there were other minor issues with this property such as unreliable elevators, trash in the lobby, and a very poor evening 'cocktail' reception that served only Coors Light and bad wine from 5:30-7pm. I'm a huge fan of the Hilton brand and this hotel in Savannah's historic district was good but not exceptional. The location was great. The decor, the room, and the lounge areas were all nice and the hotel staff was friendly. The shower was a good size, water pressure great and hot water lasts a lot longer than your expectations. There were a couple of notable things, during my stay that I must also point out. Housekeeping services are only provided, as requested. This hasn't lowered any of the room prices, but service is available, if you ask for it. There's a buffet style breakfast, Monday - Friday 6:30am - 9:30am and Saturday and Sunday, from 7am - 10:30am. The food wasn't as warm as it could or should have been, but it was a good selection to choose from. Omelets are available and cooked to order. In the evening, there's a reception for guests in the lobby bar area which offered snacks, 2 complimentary cocktails, draft beer, wine, or soft drinks. Don't ask for the complimentary good liquor! You won't get any, unless you're willing to pay for it. The restaurant, in the lobby lounge area has a decent variety of items on the menu but I didn't get a chance to try any of them. I want to preface this by saying... I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it was in much better shape. I didn't get the chance to take pics but i was definitely surprised and not In a good waY. The room looked empty in comparison to when I stayed before. There was only a sofa, desk and tv in the coNnected suite room. The sofa looked very old, worn and dateD. I only stay at Embassy because of the great breakfast and happy hour so I know what to expect and this wasNt it. I will say the employees were absolutely amazing. The front desk staff was awesome. ThEre was a guy named Blue who helped with our luggage and he was great as well. So as far as customer service was concerned... never a disappointment. Will never stay here again. It did not stand up to the quality expected for a Hilton. Outdated rooms. Limited staff, long waits for egg/omelet/pancake orders for free breakfast. What appears to be an attempt to upgrade rooms at some point was a fail. Curved shower rods did do not provide proper shower coverage for rectangle tub so that water could get on the floor. Pretty dissapointed with the quality and service. We are Hilton Honors members and we stay at a lot of Embassy Suites. Unfortunatley, this Embassy Suites is in a league of it's own.. which is not good! The happy hour and breakfast was subpar compared to the other Embassy Suites we stayed at. The restaurant menu did not have at least 5 items we wanted to purchase. We had a mystery charge on my hotel bill when checking out from the restaurant while checking out. Granted, restaurant the charge had been removed after I said something at checkout. The shower had mold and the deadbolt did not work. We tried calling the GM and he was working a double shift and was not available. I would pass and stay at another Hilton property when visiting Savannah. read more

What a wonderful stay at the Embassy Suites in Savannah Historic District. Upon arrival were greeted by Reatha and welcomed as a Diamond Member. Reatha answered all of our questions regarding Savannah and made some recommendations. This Embassy Suites is quite different from others we have stayed as it is not an Atrium design. I believe it is a converted warehouse of some type. The rooms were spacious and offered everything desired. The breakfast and managers reception were nice and typical for the post Covid years. The only criticism is that the hotel lacks elevators for the size of the hotel. read more

We went to Savannah Georgia for my birthday, a Spur of the moment adventure. This Embassy suites went above and beyond my expectations! They were wonderful!! The front desk staff were kind and so helpful, they even left me a birthday present in my room courtesy of them. Embassy suites has always been a win for me, but this one takes the cake! The management drink happy hour was good as usual, the snack were better than most. I did not have the opportunity to try the restaurant... But from what I hear that's amazing to. I've had two good stays here recently. Check-ins are usually super fast, although I usually check in on the app as all the rooms are suites and no upgrade availability. Staff are very friendly, although my most recent stay I got a snarky answer to a question (well, two questions) from the front desk staff. I had to inquire a few times about perks for elite status and items that came with the room package. I think those things should be explained from the get go ("You have X package, this is how it works...." or "Here is Y...") and given as appropriate. read more

I am a Hilton member and stay at Embassy Suites when I travel. This place needs help. The bathroom is gross. The shower curtain is old and mildew stained, the curtain rod was falling out of the wall plus the shower curtain was not wide enough so water got on the floor. Dust/dirt in the corners I wore socks while on the carpet. I had to throw them away because of how dirty they got. A guest was skimming the pool because he didn't want his kids swimming in dirt. I saw him call the front desk 30 minutes and nothing. There is a lack of urgency from the staff to do anything- except go on their smoke break. They hustle to do that. I asked the front desk for bottled water. No one was in the lobby but me, the phone was not ringing. It took her over 10 minutes to get it. I did time it Don't blame COVID for the lazy staff. read more
