I like this hotel for a staycation. There are plenty of restaurants around and the Woodfield mall is super close. The staff is always friendly and ready to answer any questions or solve problems that arise. Checking in and out is an easy process. Parking can be a bit of challenge at the end of the night if it is at full capacity. It has a connecting hotel on the back that can get a bit confusing. The rooms are comfortable. Has your standard hotel appliances:microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker. They do have continental breakfast. They have upgraded breakfast since the last time I stayed there. They have a pool, fitness room, bar and meeting area that you can reserve. Overall decent price for a convenient place to stay in Schaumburg. read more

My husband and I stayed here for his birthday and after we checked in, we left the hotel to celebrate and came back, and all of our belongings brings had been stolen. We called the police and spoke with the GM Linzie and after viewing security cameras they saw that housekeeping had entered our room 3 times in a 2-hour time frame. The hotel was able to find a bag of our clothes but nothing else. All of our valuables, including money, perfume, makeup and more was never returned to us. The GM told us that they would conduct an investigation and call us on Monday. When she called, she stated that after reviewing the footage they did not see the housekeeping staff come out of the room with any of our missing belongings! As if someone stealing would visibly walk out with valuables in front of the camera. The items that were missing were tucked away in between our folded clothes so n a bag. So, to receive a plastic bag back with only my clothes (including my personals like underwear and lingerie) means that they went through all of our belongings and took what they wanted. Unfortunately, we are now out over $2000 in items according to the Schaumburg police department. We can re purchase these items eventually but what we can't get back is our privacy. We feel violated. Especially because management brushed it off so easily. You would never think that your belongings would not be safe at a hotel. We are now seeking legal action against the hotel to ensure this does not happen to anyone else. I definitely would not recommend staying at this hotel as your belongings are not safe and management protects their employees that are stealing. read more

Good news: The room was perfect. Comfortable bed,comfortable climate control, very clean and lots of linens and towels. Breakfast was very good. Bad News: The pool was FREEZING. The room temperature was very, very hot, but the water was way below state minimums of 76°. Of course it is cheaper to heat the room than the water. Front desk people could care less. Three hand sanitizers (two of which were outside of the exercise room AND necessary) were empty and when informed front desk personnel about that, they disappeared. TV advertised it had Hulu but that channel was missing and front desk said it would be fixed...which it wasn't. read more

I ended up walking through three hotels to find the place. A lot of hotels in a small area so please Provide hotel name and exact address to whoever is dropping you off. The lobby is generously sized with lots of places to sit. Finish of the the lobby 1970s-ish and the number of charging ports to go along with it. Think Jimmy Carter, no computers, no cell phones, no iPads time of our country.....and if you look at it that way, you'll be satisfied. Selection of food items in the small commissary is real thin, and real fat in terms of cost. The rooms are poorly lit, and mine overlooked a roof top and an adjacent hotel. Poor water pressure too. Not sure when this hotel was built but it certainly felt new. Everything was clean and in perfect condition. For platinum members they provide 500 welcome points plus a small goodie bag. Had a quick drink at the bar, which shares the same seating area as the complimentary breakfast (standard fare). Can't complain about the room which was spacious. Looked like they have a nice gym and pool but I didn't have the opportunity to use the facilities. In case their gym isn't sufficient, they have a partnership with a local gym for complimentary access - very neat benefit that I haven't seen offered at many hotels. read more

Ice machine was not working. Had to make 2 trips to the main desk for ice. Snacks weren't left or brought to the room when we were told they would be. Now for the good stuff. The people here are very pleasant. For every issue we had, they were apologetic and offered a solution that I was satisfied with every time. If it weren't for the inconvenience of having to go downstairs several times, I would definitely give this place 5 stars. read more

We stayed here while visiting family and have a weekend away. I can't say enough good about this property. The hotel itself is immaculate and brand new. Very modern facility. Complimentary breakfast has plenty of variety and adults and kids enjoyed it. Pool is great, maybe a bit chilly, but very nice. Great fitness room! Room was perfect! Kids loved internet ready TV. I spent 2 hours on Priceline looking at hotels and reviews and finally decided to stay at Fairfield Inn. There are two hotels and they share the front desk. Really nice modern lobby. The hotel is extremely clean, and you'll see employees cleaning throughout the day. The front desk employees are not super friendly, but they are helpful and nice. My room was small but nice and cozy. The rooms are modern and very clean. They have complimentary breakfast (eggs, sausage, bagels, waffles, fruit, etc). The fitness center is really nice. I didn't use the pool, but the kids were enjoying it. My favorite part is the patio. It has a wonderful relaxing view and beautiful at night. They'll even turn the fire on for you. My only complaint is the pillow(s). They could be better. I prefer a firm pillow, lol. Great stay, I'll be back. Nice restaurant across the street, The Local. read more

This hotel is not requiring guests to wear masks. The lobby was full of maskless people. When I asked if they were enforcing the mask mandate, they said it was too hard. We will not be staying here again, since they clearly aren't prioritizing the health and safety of their guests. My child has asthma and cannot be vaccinated yet. It's a huge health risk. read more

I wish I could give them 5 stars, but I can't. The hotel is beautifully decorated, modern and clean. The Staff was friendly and pleasant. They offer Netflix, Hulu and Youtube as a channel which was different. Just log in using your account! The breakfast was just OK! DIY Waffles, scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, turkey sausage, oatmeal and bagels...and if it's a weekend, get down there early. The walls are super thin and you can hear your neighbor. I suddenly heard trickling when I realized it was the sounds of someone using the restroom. YUCK! As I type this at 8am, I'm listening to the very loud housekeeper clean and bang the vacuum all the across the next room. I'm annoyed! All and all it's a nice hotel. I think if we decided to stay again I would request to be away from the crowd and not in the center of the floor as it was lots of traffic and noise and we were here for a romantic weekend. read more

Was my first time staying at this hotel but upon arrival the front desk clerk was friendly and helpful when asking questions about the hotel, services and surrounding area. My boyfriend and I came here as a little getaway and can say the stay was definitely everything we needed. The hotel is really nice, and offers complementary breakfast as I was able to choose from waffles (you can make them yourself), cereal, fruit, eggs, oatmeal, coffee etc it was really great to be able to get up and go get yourself breakfast! The hotel also have a gym room and a pool which were nice and clean (I loved that). Our room was nice - we opted for the king size bed, yet this room was smaller then what I'm used to but it was still comfortable. The bathroom was even nicer; I loved the glass walk in shower! We did notice the wall paper was starting to peel a bit...but housekeeping was attentive and even provided extra pillows when we requested them later in the night. I also liked that they provide options for your television viewing as you could watch hbo and some other cable channels but you could also sign into your Netflix account to watch that as well. Overall, my stay was nice & would definitely come back again...soon. read more

This is very nice, new hotel that as a passageway connecting it to the Town Place Suites. Two hotels in one.... Therefore, they have a larger than normal pool, larger breakfast area, etc., all of it located inside the Fairfield Inn. There are some large meeting rooms, a small bar and a small market. What sets this apart from most hotels that I use is the customer service. The people behind the desk almost always take time to greet me and help with any questions. It is incredibly easy to find and close to many restaurants and the Woodfield shopping mall. My only complaint would be that there is not an abundance of parking although most parking is very close to one of the three doors that you can use to enter the hotel. read more

Fairfield is a mini Marriott. Hospitality at front desk the same. Workers professional and friendly. The room somewhat small. Then again the price is also less. Decent TV, blackout curtains. I appreciate the refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom nice like a Marriott. Paul Mitchell toiletries. All glass shower. Nice knowing you do not have to clean it. A grab bar in the front of shower would be nice. Bed nice. No scratchy sheets liked stated in an earlier review. Bed comfy. Plastic sheets over mattress to prevent bedbugs. A mattress cover, sheet and duvet. The duvet does need a removable cover or to be double sheeted. Room was clean. They offer a free hot breakfast. Nice plenty of hard boiled eggs, English muffins,bread and assortment of cereals. Of course waffles and mini waffles. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties and Canadian bacon. 3 or 4 juices, milk and coffee. Breakfast dining area big. I did not go to the bar or the pool. My one complaint was the room view. The Marriott Fairfield is connected to the Marriott Townplace. Interesting concept. There was a ground floor for employees going between the 2 "towers". I was on the 5th floor. Odd numbered room. With my drapes open they are looking into the other hotel room. Decent space between the buildings but still. I felt I had to keep my drapes closed. I did not want to end up on YouTube. I think next time I would ask for an even numbered room and see how that goes. Fairfield is a nice clean place for a good price. I would return again. read more

Paul Mitchell toiletries and an amazing closet organizer. Minus one star for unclear hold policies. Two holds were placed on our credit card. The first hold was 20% above the cost of the room. Oddly the front desk and supervisor referred to this hold as covering "taxes and fees" yet these fees are included at the time of booking. The room next to ours had a small child, about 2, who was in charge and allowed to scream each of the three days and nights we stayed. Talking to the front desk got an "I'm sorry, we'll do better next time" and "we'll check that out". The shower was out of body wash, thank goodness there was a small bar of soap for our hands. My suppose to be Relaxing weekend was a NIGHTMARE!!! My husband is disabled so although I requested a room near an elevator in advance we were not. Zero communication that they did not have Wi-Fi not Internet upon check in nor was it disclosed when I call to request a room by the elevator. Late in the evening around 9 pm the Fire Alarms went off!! Now I am trying to figure out out to get my disabled husband down 4 flights of stairs safely. ANNA is the worst employee at Fairfield very argumentative..I tried to explain to her about charges to my debit card which I never presented to them and she has the nerve to want to tell me that I did. When asked what occurred with the Fire Alarms being activated she lied to say she was on on staff when it occurred but she doesn't have a report but it wasn't a fire. How would you know when you don't have a report or were you present. The lack of communication with manage and the staff is horrid. They all need to go back to have a training session. I enjoy the Marriott but will not dare return to this Fairfield in Schaumburg. No supervisor on staff nor available to handle this situation. Bogus charges..Ice Makers not operable on several floors and ANNA is not worthy to be working for the Marriott..Calling Corporate Office is what is needed. read more

You get a microwave in the room which is an big + , in the morning breakfast is as regular hotel is but what was different was the service , I was approved and asked as I was heading after just picking fruits if they can pack some food. This hotel STOLE MY MONEY!!! DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked a room but then needed to cancel due to not being able to find a babysitter. I cancelled WELL BEFORE "24 hours before arrival" (as the cancellation policy stated) in order to get a full refund. I never got my refund even after going back and forth with corporate and the RUDE hotel manager Klaudia Mitera(who keeps ignoring my emails). All she had to say was "There's nothing we can do about that." This was the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel and I didn't even get to stay there. Would've given negative stars if I could. My family stayed here for New Year's Eve. This hotel is family friendly. Nice, clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Check inn was fast and non problematic. Plenty of places to grub and shop near by. My only small complaint is that the pool water was freezing. Kids couldn't really enjoy the water. Then, we had to walk from the freezing pool, past the freezing dinning area, and wait in the freezing hallway for the elevator. We were wrapped in towels but still freezing. This isn't a knock against the hotel. Just be cautious to get a room near the pool if you plan on going swimming. Maybe, I should of thought to ask for a room near the pool... I just never imagined the water would be so cold... Anyway, overall great hotel! I'd definitely stay here again ! Cheers! read more

I was delighted from the very start by the welcoming attitude they provided. I received an email prior to my arrival. Wow factor! Off to a great start, when I did arrive I was immediately met with a smile and welcomed. The hotel was immaculately clean and aesthetic. Our room was more of the same. We were located right next to an elevator, and I didn't hear anything when in my room. Our room was spacious. The bathroom was very large. The room included a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee pot. Our visit to the pool was a surprise, plenty of chairs, towels, one wall floor to ceiling windows, and well kept making it a lovely experience. I was asked twice if they could do anything for me. Wow! The beds are semi firm and they offer both feather and foam pillows, slept well. They offer a breakfast which we didn't participate in. This perfect location is a very short jaunt to Woodfield mall. There are all kinds of restaurants very near by. I highly recommend spending time here. I've already planned another stay at a later date. Great place! read more

When I made the reservation a week ago I asked about parking. They assured me there would be some. When we returned from dinner and there was no parking. I was informed the owner decided to have a party at the last minute and we could park at the bank across the street. Some of the people I was with have trouble walking so when I mentioned this I was told the party was over and people would be leaving so we could wait. Glad I spent over a hundred dollars to not be able to park to get to my room. Also the temperature control in the room was set to high and took all day to cool down. Michelle at front desk was very welcoming- GREAT customer service! New hotel with very mod decor. Great fitness area and large indoor pool. Nicely appointed room that was clean and spacious. I am Marriott Gold, so I usually get a late check out at 4pm; however, I checked out at 10:30am because I had THE WORST night sleeping due to the incredibly uncomfortable bed AND the hard, rough and scratchy sheets! After the horrible night sleeping, I decided to get breakfast once I checked out. Well, the breakfast area, specifically the waffle area, was so filthy and cluttered with waffle mix all over the counter and floor. I had to ask for clean styrofoam plates to be put out. Next, there was zero regular bread, bagel or muffins. I was told "we are waiting on a shipment". Really??!! The melon was hard and dried out. YUCK! The oatmeal was soooo unappetizing and dried out. GROSS! In addition, the garbage was overflowing and staff were just standing around doing nothing. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! I informed the manager on my way out that I was checking out so early because I did not get a good night's sleep due to the very uncomfortable bed and hard scratchy linen. The manager's reply..."Well, they ARE new beds". WOW! Could she have been any more unapologetic??!! A little empathy goes a looooong way! Then I pointed out how dirty the breakfast area was and lack of available and appetizing items. The manager's insincere reply, with a smirk..."we're sorry". Again, WOW! What an incompetent and unprofessional response from a manager! She definitely needs some major customer service training! Even though this place is new, with soooo many other hotel options, providing good customer is paramount for any successful business. Even with a great product, without good customer service in order to deliver the product, consumers will choose to go elsewhere. I will not be back! read more

Everyone at this hotel was so sweet! Front desk was more than welcoming and my room was more than spacious for just me. I'm a neat freak regardless, so I keep my room and the bathroom organized, but I was in a rush for my business meeting this morning and left everything "messy' on the bathroom counter (aka my toothbrush, contact case and solution, make-up bag, etc) and the bathroom counter was really wet. When I came back, everything was extremely dry and Elizabeth had placed a towel and reorganized all of my belongings on the bathroom counter for me! I only know her name because she left me an adorable note saying, "have a nice day!" with a smiley face and her name at the bottom. If that's not adorable and welcoming, I don't know what is. By far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The employees there are so amazing! They dress well and are very attentive to the needs of the guests. This is a new hotel so my expectations were already high, but my experience went above and beyond what I expected. Clean, comfortable, well set up room, wasnt able to check in till pretty late but it was comfortable and the staff was friendly. The room had a couple of beds and accomodating outlets. Free wifi through website validation. The rooms and bathrooms are roomy enough to roll a wheelchair through. There is an EV plug out by the pool but i wasnt able to plug in because two trucks were taking up the two parking spaces, and if you prepay ahead of time you cant get a refund if you dont cancel before 48 hours ahead of time, other than that it was a pretty good stay. We had the most disappointing encounter at this hotel. A block of rooms were reserved for a wedding and a shuttle was promised on the night of the rehearsal dinner as well as the wedding. The shuttle told the riders to call when they were ready not mentioning a timeframe. However the driver to the shuttle interrupted the rehearsal dinner stating that she had 4 spots left and she was leaving and was off at 10pm. People asked her to wait and she became aggravated and marched off. We then had to shuttle all guest back to the hotel where the shuttle driver had already complained about our group and therefore cancelled the shuttles for the following night. We asked to speak to the AGM and her response was it is your word against hers so there is nothing that I can do. We asked for a time schedule for the wedding and she said she cannot offer us shuttles. Then we mentioned that the driver made someone cry at the reception and the managers response I quote was " I can't believe she made her cry she looks like a tough cookie". Is that an appropriate response? Then as people challenged her she ran away. Horribly handled situation and the hotel shuttle was not responsive or kind. I will never stay here or welcome anyone to stay ever again. read more
