I think it's one of the best suites. Lobby area is definitely good place to hang out with the family . Try out!

The entire frosted glass was stained.

I have hundreds of nights in Marriott properties. This is the worst of any hotel I've ever stayed in. The worst. I checked out yesterday and moved to another property. 1. This hotel is filthy. I'll post pictures. 2. The thermostat does not work. 3. There wasn't a trash can in my room. 4. There is a horrific odor coming from one of the rooms. Every time I pass by the door, I want to gag. 5. The elevator on the right has a broken wall. Take it from a 100 hotel nights a year traveler, pick someplace else.

Over the years with my work in the area, this has been one of my go to locations. Arriving late, the guest service was great and had me pre-checked and no issues with late checkout. Most mornings I started my day before the cafe opened, but in the past the service and quality was great. I highly recommend this location if you are in the area.

    Toilet was never cleaned

The best thing about my stay is the breakfast they had in the morning. Lots of options. Very hot shower . Plenty of towels The bad part of my stay: bed was springy... but better than nothing .. room was dirty and the toilet was nasty

Well, I went and got the typical scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and a bandanna. While this location offers the same breakfast items as the Hampton Inn and Embassy Suites, at this Garden Inn location, you have to pay $16.80. They had a man go around filling your coffee mug and getting your food, but again, it's the standard free breakfast items you'd find at other Hilton chains, which explains why we met up and got the items ourselves. Needless to say, the next morning, I went to a local place for breakfast and paid less than $10.00. Next, I checked in late Monday and went to Jewel Osco for work items: a case of water and snacks to keep my team focused and uplifted. Well, after returning, I found out that a water main had broken, flooding some lower-level rooms, and that the fire marshal had shut down the elevators. The manager got two staff members to help me with my grocery bags since I was on the third floor. He told me that he could book me into another hotel. Still, if anyone knows anything about the Chicagoland area, the bedbug capital of the US, it is Chicago, followed by Cleveland and Detroit. So, no, without researching, I'm not moving to another hotel. Besides, has anyone read my Embassy Suites review that mentioned black mold being painted over? By Wednesday, the elevator still wasn't working when I checked out. It was a pain bringing down my hug roller bags, computer bag, and tools, but at least I'm not bringing critters with me. The final issue was that the showerhead in the bathroom was pointed directly at the toilet, so the entire floor got soaked and became a slip hazard. Someone obviously didn't think that through! But wait, one more issue, the reading lamp didn't work; that was close to my bed. On a good note, the staff were friendly, and the hotel was clean, so three out of five stars.

The hotel entrance after the revolving doors is stunning. I went to my co-workers hotel room to drop off my gear and it was very clean. Spacious rooms and the bathroom mirror had an embedded TV. We headed to breakfast where the food was in the hallway and the dining was in the big event room where main speakers were going to be. The room where we had the presentation fit around 30 people in round tables. The AV guy came in to check if we were all tested and ready to go which was all set! In between sessions, the coffee area was packed with coffee, tea, water and soda. The only bad part, there was another conference and you had to pass through this area for the other conference and they were taking our coffee, drinks, etc. The venue finally out signs. We had a formal dinner but the staff seemed very rushed in everything. Before my co-worker was finished eating they were already asking him if he was finished and wanting dessert. I like customer service but no need to rush people. Overall, the place is great, the venue is beatiful and it was a positive experience.

We told the front desk the phone wasn't working and we needed more hangers. No one ever stopped by with the hangers or to fix the phone. The housekeeping staff also speaks no English. If you ask for more towels, you may not get any. Also, the only coffee pods in the room was decaf. Breakfast was included for us. The first morning, we got our breakfast and it was delicious. However, the breakfast area became very crowded with other wedding party guests. We never received a copy of our check. However, they charged $6 to our room as a tip which we never left. The next 2 days there was a breakfast buffet for the wedding party which included scrambled eggs with cheese, scrambled eggs with veggies, roasted potatoes, fruit, bread, coffee. It was pretty generic tasting. Also to top it off the pool was being renovated so the kids couldn't enjoy that. I also heard many of the wedding guests were charged extra on checkout. It was clean, big enough for at least 20 people, and the driver was very friendly. We scheduled everything through Isabel and she made it easy. 2) Breakfast was free and was honestly pretty good - Schaumburg has a bunch of really great breakfast and brunch restaurants so I'd personally recommend checking those out, but if you want a good free breakfast, this works. There seemed to have plenty of seating and it was clean. 3) Rooms were pretty good - you can tell they're doing as much as possible with what they have. They're not huge, but we got the king bed bridal suite and it was nice. It did have a fire place but it was July so we were good. We honestly didn't have time to use the whirlpool/hot tub in the room and would've opted for more room for getting ready vs. having the whirlpool but it's a cool extra. Beds are pretty comfortable for a night or two, everything seemed clean. 4) Getting Ready - My biggest concern was would there be enough space for the makeup artist, hair stylist, bridesmaid, mother of bride, bride, flower girl and her mom, and at least 1-2 more bridal support team. It was a bit tight but we made it work! The makeup artist went by the window, the hair stylist went by the desk, and they were able to work on one person at a time. People waiting or chatting sat on the whirlpool/hot tub sides and on the bed, and we had 2 friends bring over some extra office chairs from their rooms. I DID NOT get into my dress at the hotel - there would not have been enough room for sure. 5) The Staff - was friendly and Isabel was very very attentive. She did come into management of the hotel in the middle of our engagement so I think there might have been some new employees - a few family members had trouble booking and the employees seemed confused, so Isabel said to just call her directly instead of the front desk. You do have to be proactive and ask for how many people are staying in rooms, and ask for the sheet that says who and how long - but she gets you the information ASAP. 6) All in all - it was super close to our reception, very close to plenty of great restaurants and places to go for fun stuff, the staff seemed friendly, and everything worked out!

The next day I checked out and instead of the hotel asking this woman to leave immediately I was told by another guest that they allowed this dangerous woman to remain longer till she found alternative housing option. Apparently she was there because her house burnt down. Still the staff here never handled it properly and I may relay this information to corporate. Unfortunately, my first impression changed when I checked in. The gentleman at the front desk wasn't very welcoming. Everyone has bad days, but when you're working in hospitality, a friendly attitude goes a long way. Even a simple smile can make guests feel appreciated. The room itself was decent. The bed was clean most importantly, no bed bugs which is always a good sign. The bathroom was updated, and I especially loved the strong water pressure. I did run into a couple of issues during my stay. I called the front desk and requested two toothbrushes and two tubes of toothpaste, but housekeeping only delivered enough for one person despite my request. It seemed like a simple miscommunication, but it was still frustrating. My biggest complaint was the window. It was covered in layers of dirt, which explained why the room felt so dark when we first walked in. The blinds had been closed, and I couldn't help but wonder if they were trying to hide how dirty the window was. A thorough cleaning would make a noticeable difference and allow much more natural light into the room. Overall, this was the most disappointing 4 star hotel I've stayed at. Since it's located in the suburbs, I didn't have exceptionally high expectations, but I still expected a better overall experience.
