They have a big parking lot, free to park. 5 floors, free breakfast every morning, and clean room. This place was perfect for our trip, we spent the day in Chicago and evening in the suburbs. Great location. Next to Costco, IKEA and plenty of shops, stores. Some staff is friendly, some doesn't acknowledge you. Gym is small, has some basic equipment. Hotel is clean. Beds and pillows are lumpy and not great for good restful sleep. Would stay here again if the beds and pillows get upgraded. read more

Overall, a very decent place to stay. It was clean and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when I return to the area. The breakfast is typical of the many free morning breakfast hotels but I will definitely say that it was better and fresher than most. The sausage was fresh and hot as were the scrambled eggs as well as the oatmeal. They also offer make it yourself waffles as well as a few cold cereal options. The pillows were comfortable. The mattress was pretty good as was the quality of the bedding. The overall atmosphere is somewhat generic but it's a nice, clean place to stay. Hope you will give them a try. read more

The best part of this was the extremely friendly staff. Beds were very hard, made sleep difficult. The layout of the king room was also a bit odd, with the room divider sitting right by the TV, so the viewing was half in the living room, half in the bedroom. Breakfast was also lackluster. Nice place to stay for a weekend. The room was nice and clean. No problem there. Breakfast was typical for a hotel. Service there was very good. The pool is also very nice, plenty of seats and towels. The best part was the front desk, Emerson Romero, he was spot on at the job! I have hundreds of nights in Marriott properties. This is the worst of any hotel I've ever stayed in. The worst. I checked out yesterday and moved to another property. 1. This hotel is filthy. I'll post pictures. 2. The thermostat does not work. 3. There wasn't a trash can in my room. 4. There is a horrific odor coming from one of the rooms. Every time I pass by the door, I want to gag. 5. The elevator on the right has a broken wall. Take it from a 100 hotel nights a year traveler, pick someplace else. read more

This hotel was nice and spacious (2.5) but the beds were definitely not queens, like how it was advertised on the site. You guys need to fix that because that is false advertisement. It should say, two full size beds with a pull out couch. The rooms also have a bad odor if the AC is not blasted to clear the air. Breakfast was not good and was the same for the two days that we were there so we skipped out on day two. If management works to improve the hotel then it is worth giving it another try at this place. read more

Over the years with my work in the area, this has been one of my go to locations. Arriving late, the guest service was great and had me pre-checked and no issues with late checkout. Most mornings I started my day before the cafe opened, but in the past the service and quality was great. I highly recommend this location if you are in the area. read more

This is a good hotel location which has the amenities you expect like a pool and gym. They also have a small shop where you can buy food and beverages etc. They only serve breakfast at this hotel. The breakfast becomes a little repetitive if you stay more than a few days which has a typical buffet of scrambled eggs, sausage, bread, waffles etc. They don't have an action station which would be nice. The hotel room was good, the bed was fairly comfortable and the room had a microwave and fridge. It also had a small table you can use if you want to work or just have a good place to use your laptop. The one thing that I really appreciated is that they have good coffee which tastes really good and has actual flavor and not the watered down coffee you get at some hotels. They also have it available throughout most of the day for free which I really enjoyed. The location is quite good, pretty near a highway and shops. It's very close to IKEA and across the street they have a really good breakfast restaurant (Wildberry) and they also have a good tavern across the street as well as a Costco. read more

Not sure what happened, but Marriott Corporate made a HUUUGGEEE mistake when it came to my reservation. I might need to lose a little weight, but I am not yet big enough to be in both Baltimore and Chicago at the same time. I'd dive deeper into the errors that almost cost me $1000 between two properties, but no one has time for that. I don't. I'm still quite irritated. At corporate. What I'm not irritated with is the Spring Hill Suites in Schaumburg. I'm quite pleased with them, actually. Desk clerk Chloe was the first to find the issues. Unfortunately she had to deal with an irate customer. (I'm irritated now, but you bet your sweet bippy i was irate then!) Chloe was able to tell me all of the issues so I could go to corporate. You better believe I did. Showed up at the property and Desk Clerk Seth took over. Really nice guy. Professional. Helpful. Called his manager to handle. Manager Christy showed up and was ready to help right off the bat. Such a lovely, professional woman with an empathetic attitude. She took care of ALL of my issues once and for all. What took two hours via phone was handled by Christy in five minutes. Thank you to to all three folks for turning my frown upside down. Excellent customer service. In addition to this, parking is plentiful. Location is great. Rooms are very clean. A+ *applause* read more

We're currently staying here and we've already had quite the experience. Upon entering, the lobby you can see it all. It is...small. Granted, I didn't book the hotel so I wasn't sure what we were getting into. The pool is a few feet from the lobby so you can hear all the commotion that's happening in there. The elevator up to the floor had a bit of trouble getting started. The doors had closed and opened only to see that we were still on the first floor. This occurred twice. I'm not sure if it needs to be inspected again. Our room had been cleaned but there were areas that were missed like, the toilet. The toilet still had remnants of a previous encounter. So, naturally, we let them know and they came up to take care of it. The room is a decent size but the layout is strange. The pullout sofa, if utilized, pretty much blocks your exit. The tv is in front of the sofa but it swivels so you can watch if you're laying in bed. The pool, oh god, that pool. If you're expecting something of a decent size, you'll be disappointed. There were quite a few people in there which made it seem even smaller. I mean, it's fine if there's like 5 people in there at a time but that wasn't the case. The water looked murky, cloudy, and gross. I didn't get in but just looking into the pool, there were things at the bottom. It looked like paper and wrappers. They closed the pool at an early time by placing a sign at the door saying it was temporarily closed. The front desk said it was to clean and sanitize and it would reopen the next day around noon. The next day, we came to check out the pool and it wasn't as packed as the day before. The water still looked murky, cloudy, and gross. The papers and wrappers were still at the bottom of the pool. I honestly don't think anyone did their job here. I think they just put up the sign to prevent people from going in. There were ants on the floor and it was overall not a clean part of the hotel. I haven't mentioned it to them yet but I definitely think they need to make improvements on the cleanliness of the place. read more

It's a good hotel for the price, although I like the Renaissance and Fairfield Inn in Schaumburg a little more because of their nicer gyms and lounges. This review has been in my to do list for the last 5 months! But I keep thinking about it and knew it had to be done.... I cannot stress how amazing this hotel is. I had lost my mom suddenly while we were all on vacation. We needed a place to stay for the next two weeks while we made arrangements for her wake, etc.. In probably the most difficult time for my family, the staff took the things that we didn't have time or energy to think about and made it happen. They put our family members in rooms close to each other. They made sure we always came home to clean rooms with clean sheets and towels every day. When they saw that around 20 of us would gather every night in the common areas, they offered us one of their party rooms for more privacy. Anything we asked, they made happened. They were more than kind, very sensitive and respectful. You would think that these traits should come naturally in a customer service position but it doesn't. This team went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I wish I could remember names but it was so long ago that I cannot. As far as the rooms, very clean, a lot of space. Breakfast had a lot of cold and hot choices, even for my vegan brother. They had a cute room full of extras that you can buy including a microwave for instant heating (even though they are in the rooms). They also have alcohol for purchase. I can't say THANK YOU enough to the team. You are all gems and I hope only the best for all of you! read more

It's like a Hyatt Place, only cheaper, smaller and crappier. If you've ever stayed at a Hyatt Place, you'll be familiar with the layout of the rooms. There's a living area with a couch (not a large, comfortable couch, mind you), a computer desk and a sink/fridge/counter area. The other room area has the bed. The TV sits in front of the divider to the two areas, and swivels back and forth. But the TV is tiny, the couch isn't all that comfortable, and it's really just a "meh" hotel. Spend the extra cash and stay at the Hyatt Place down the street. read more

Breakfast was packed, ran out of food and staff did not care to replenish. Manager did help and was very helpful to try and accommodate us. Location is great and the room was pretty big. I felt like every time I asked the staff for sheets or towels I was bothering them. The housekeeping line rang busy every time I tried to call. I was also charged $50 for incidentals which is ok, if only that was what I was told to begin with. I booked 2 weeks in advance and was charged that same day I booked for my room. So I paid for a room before I even stayed which could partly be my fault for not reading the fine print clearly. I did read the $40 and not $50 charge though. When I asked the girl at the front desk why I was charged $10 more she said she didn't know why I was charged and she couldn't do anything. If you are going to put a hold on someone's account you might need to be familiar with WHY. "I don't know" is NEVER acceptable in a customer service industry. She never even tried to see what was going on, try to get a manager. Nothing. It was just I don't know and to call my bank. Like no ma'am. YOUR company charged me. YOUR company can fix it. Although in a good location, I probably won't stay there again. read more

Excellent hospitality service! Breakfast was good as always. Insider tip, be sure to get there early on a weekend because the weekend travelers will create a bit of a line. Servers were all happy to serve us. My only suggestion would be to have more gluten free options for breakfast. Mrs. F is Gluten and Lactose free and so all she was able to eat was an able and scrambled eggs. The breakfast sausage unfortunately had gluten in it. I understand though, breakfast is included in the rate and so I am sure it's hard to make that option available. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was well kept. Spring Hill is truly one of my favorites in the realm of select service hotels! read more

Just decided to stay here for a night out of our place and for a cheap price. Not the worst hotel I have been to, but not the best. Room was very spacious, bed was comfy, we had a kitchenette, separate seating area, and a divided bathroom (tub and toilet were in one room while sink was across the way). Our continental breakfast was very nice as well--too bad tourists were eating every single bite. The downfall--the couch that was straight across from the TV was the most uncomfortable couch I've ever sat on. Also, I felt like the hallways smelled. Like I said, its not fantastic, but its def worth a $70 price tag. read more

My number one priority was finding a property that would make our stay smooth and ensure there were no kinks with aforementioned complicated reservations. We found a winner in this SpringHill Suites. Robert and his team went above and beyond from the moment I called to request a rate, until the moment we checked out. I could not have asked (or found) better customer service. Since I blasted AmeriSuites Shaumburg, I feel I owe SpringHill Suites a review. After refusing to stay another night at "AmeriSucks", I found this hotel. They had just opened their doors when I needed a better choice. This is relatively new construction and if you are a light sleeper like me, the rooms are pretty quiet. I had a loud group on my floor on one occasion and they moved me to a room on a lightly-occupied floor. The breakfast isn't great, but there is a McDonalds on Algonquin Road just past Motorola. If you have a problem, ask for the hotel Manager Linda. She's great. read more

Love this place, love the people working there. My company did our corporate retreat here in January, and we couldn't have been better taken care of by the staff. Everyone went out of their way to help us out and make our meetings efficient and effective. Excellent business hotel in the 'burbs. Studio suites are roomy with large desk, pull out sofa bed, "bar" with sink, microwave and mini-fridge. Wireless Internet is included for free and use of the business center is included (which I took advantage of to print a bunch of documents). There's a small indoor pool with whirlpool and gym. There is also free parking and free continental breakfasts. I was here at this location for business but I am a fan of SpringHill Suites by Marriott for work or leisure. read more

I only stayed one night but would come back based on my experience, I would definitely return. The property is in a good location (close to stores and freeways,) is clean, staff is nice and helpful, the hot and cold breakfast buffet is included, and the wifi is free throughout the property. First of all the hotel is under renovation. I am not complaining about that, in fact the stay was great. Everything was great until I asked for a taxi. I asked for a taxi to get to the airport and the gentleman behind the counter said "no problem there will be a taxi right out front at 4:30AM waiting for you". Now at 4:30AM your options are limited by simply not being able to get another one there at that time. So, I come outside to a town car and a $54 fare to the airport. This included a rub the credit card on a paper machine and call it in type of payment! In my opinion the night staff is compensated for getting you a town car instead of a taxi! I was pretty pissed off and tried like hell to post a review on Marriott.com, so one star lost for a shady "taxi" and another because clearly Marriott wants to make it difficult to review their hotels. So here is one here! I am going to stay there again in a few weeks and the manager and I will have a sit down, Far from happy but will not penalize the entire hotel for one crook and Marriott's policy of making it nearly impossible to post a review on their website. read more
