While the lobby is nice, clean, & newer rooms hotel room floor was grossly dirty/stained, bed and furniture outdated, TV was small and poor quality, bed was uncomfortable. Basic amenities like a toothbrush if you forget yours are not available. Breakfast was decent but cost $14 with only $10 credit for diamond. Diamond should have free breakfast. Since Covid Hilton gives credit of basic breakfast price for those who want to use it to eat dinner, have a drink if there is a bar, or from the pantry. All Hilton properties I've stayed have given a credit for at least the lowest breakfast items. Here the credit doesn't cover basic breakfast and can't be used towards dinner. read more

Since Hilton no longer asks for feedback after a stay, I'll give it here. The hotel is under renovation, but no fear, I'll be put in a room that had already been remodeled, right? And the "We're upgrading your stay..." email I received 3 days before my stay is probably their way of saying 'pardon the dust, here's a way we'll offset it..', right? Here was reality - common area looked mid-demolition with holes and patches in the walls and elevator parts literally taped on (up/down arrows upside down even). The room was tired and broken, probably much like the hourly rate hotel down the street. Dirty, mildew, old, worn, ridden hard. Bed was fine though (surprise). Bathroom, not so much. Went down for breakfast - cooked to order eggs. Asked for 3 scrambled eggs and bacon. Picture tells the story here. Anyone should probably give this hotel a year or so before staying here. read more

Where do I begin with this room of horrors. We in on a Saturday and received room 505. My husband was parking the car, while I had to take our bag upstairs myself, no help. I entered the room with the luggage cart, noticing that the bathroom door was closed. When I opened it up, I was hit with such an overwhelming stench of raw sewage. I went in to investigate the bathroom, thinking maybe that it had been used and someone never flushed it. I nearly choked to death on it. I closed the door immediately and went back out in the room that now just absolutely reeks. I'm wondering, is all of this stench going to get on my evening cocktail dress? On my husband's dress suit? I went to call the front desk and the phone doesn't work. My daughter who is in room 128 was just now trying call us. The phone rang and rang and rang and rang. I picked up, with the phone receiver in my hand, the unit was still ringing. I tried to use the speakerphone, which did not work either. It would not connect. I then tried to dial the front desk, nothing. When my husband finally arrived up in the room, he walked in and looked at me and stated "Whew !! Tell me that wasn't you!" I said no, there's a stench in the bathroom, leave the door closed and don't go in there. Well he just had to open the door, and he got hit in the face with this wave of stench. We are not Ogres, and we do not live in a swamp, nor want to go visit one.. yet room 505, is an absolute swamp. I also noticed that there was a huge crack in the ceiling where the plaster is falling down. My name isn't Henny Penny either! My husband went right downstairs to the front desk to complaine. The gentleman at the front desk told him that "I'm sorry Sir, we already know about that and it just happens. There's nothing we can do about it tonight." This hotel was NOT at full occupancy. WHY COULDN'T THE PROBLEM BE SOLVED WITH HIM JUST GIVING US ANOTHER ROOM. Hubby also told the overnight clerk about our phone issue. Hubby gives specific instructions to the desk clerk to please instruct the maintenance man to bring a different phone up to the room. This way the maintenance man can switch out phones and not be hanging around the room with just my wife in it. Then he can tinker with it at his leisure. Well, the maintenance man showed up while I was getting dressed. I thought it was my husband! It's a good thing I was clothed! The maintenance man couldn't get the phone to work. He couldn't get a line going out. He couldn't get a line coming in. He couldn't dial the front desk. At this time, the maintenance man says "I'm going to take this phone and get a new one. I'll be right back". Moments later returns with this new phone plugs it in and with the exact same results. DEAD. No the maintenance man is telling me there is nothing he can do about it. Obviously there's something with the jack. With my husband and I being an elderly couple, if either of us were to have a medical emergency, what are we to do? Leave our significant other laying on the floor or in the bathroom or whatever and then have (try) to run down the hall (while being on oxygen) because we were at the very end of the hallway from the elevator. To take it down to the lobby, five floors, and then (try to)run around the corner and TRY to find a guest services employee to let them know that we are having a medical emergency and need to call 911!! You talk about being set up for a lawsuit if something were to have happened. It's a good thing nothing did happen. We went to the Shriners dinner came back around 11:30 both of us tired. Got ready for bed, my husband fell asleep almost right away. I on the other hand could not sleep one bit. I found the stench so offensive. It kept me awake all night long. So now I'm the one with no sleep, the driver of our vehicle ,my husband is disabled, gee thanks Hilton!! More safety issues . This is when I notice you're guarantee propped up on the desk (also a huge sign in the elevator) and I quote .. "The Hilton Garden Inn PROMISE. Our goal is to make your stay better and brighter. If something isn't just the way you like it, simply let any hotel team member know, and we will make it right. (Extremely bold letters) GUARANTEED." Then, in the "Welcome to the Garden" booklet that is on the desk for you to peruse about all the wonderful amenities of this hotel. With the title page reading .. "Tradition of Hospitality.. Throughout your stay with us, our team is committed to your comfort. With our commitment to Ultimate Service, our team members pride themselves on providing service that is unparalleled. For assistance, please use our Guest Service Hotline located on your guestroom phone". Use the guest service hotline? Located on my guest room phone? You mean to tell me my inoperative phone! My company booked some rooms here post a holiday party and it worked out perfectly for us. The hotel is very close to K1 Racing if you have an event there & for a group you can arrange a shuttle to/from the hotel. Very nice lobby with cute decor & a paid breakfast. The rooms were incredibly clean, better than expected. Nice shower though water pressure could have been a bit better. KCup maker in the room is life saver, plus a microwave, fridge, USB plugs...so the room had everything we could need. Overall, great option at a great price in Addison! read more

Thought it was great. People in elevator were so friendly, my daughter and I broke all of the rules we talk about in psychology class about riding the elevator. We actually talked to other people. Room was clean and very nice, and we used the pool and workout room, which were connected to each other. So I could ride the peloton bike while she was swimming and we could see each other. The only thing I thought was wild was that there is a smoking room section across the hall from the pool entrance, and the smell is so strong that it actually gets into the pool area. If you can actually get a smoking room you must smoke like 5 cigarettes at a time in order to make the smell that strong. It's wild. If you're sensitive to smoke, you will notice. It was jarring for me, but it didn't really affect how I felt about the rest of the property. read more

Nice hotel with good accommodations. Fridge and microwave in the room, very clean, and you can barely hear any noise from other rooms. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the hotel advertises a restaurant with dinner daily. Since I was there on work, I needed this convenience but when I got there they were only serving breakfast. To accommodate the closure they do have a free shuttle that will take you to nearby restaurants but they need to update their list of accommodations if they do not plan to serve lunch or dinner in their own restaurant. read more

First night we got here we needed a rollaway, well a dead body couldn't lay on it so we sent it back. Next the air conditioning was not working that night. Next the WiFi is in the fritz so no TV just as we should see the winner of the Kentucky Derby cross the finish line. Next, Amy at the desk, was possibly the nastiest young girl I've come in contact in a very long time. Not only did she first tell us there was no rollaway beds available, she couldn't muster up the energy to smile as I asked for shampoo, she basically threw them at me cause she was too busy counting nickels. Ok so night 3, we come back to hotel with a live shooter on the loose that shot up the lobby as our fellow bowlers played cards! Luckily no one was seriously hurt. I stayed here for two nights and this was an average hotel experience for me. The room was OK but kind of drab and the carpet was stained in a few spots. Excellent hot water and pressure in the shower. Soft towels seemed pretty new, unlike some I've had that are crunchy and hard from so much bleaching. The lobby and dining area are very nice. We tried the breakfast buffet on one morning and it was pretty good; a decent variety for $12.99 and you can get some made to order too! The pool and spa area was definitely average and didn't feel luxurious by any means. I didn't go in the fitness center but could see it from the pool window and it looked really small. read more

Nothing too horrible, but I've definitely been to a lot of hotels that were better. The biggest issue is that they have speakers out front that play music, 24 HOURS A DAY! My window faced the front, so I could hear the faint music at night when trying to sleep. Why does it need to be this loud? Why does it need to be on at 3am? The place was nice enough in the lobby and rooms, I didn't check out the meeting rooms or gym area. The staff in the lobby restaurant area wasn't very inviting. I wanted to just get a beer and I felt like a nuisance. It wasn't crowded, just 2 of us in there. Still, didn't seem like they wanted to help. Overall, it was a pretty average hotel stay, but that music in the middle of the night just ruined it for me. read more

Among the worst hotels I have stayed in. The lobby is fairly newly remodeled so it gives you quite a shock to walk into your 1970s dated room with bad wallpaper on the bathroom walls. The hand-held shower heads that cannot be sufficiently tightened need to go, too. I was put in a handicap-accessible room even though the hotel wasn't at capacity. Front desk staff seemed overworked, irritated and somewhat unhelpful. The walls are thin so I could hear every sound of the person next door who was loudly vomiting all night (my work colleague with the room immediately upstairs of the sick person could hear everything too. On the bright side, breakfast was pretty decent and the wait staff were exceptional. Seemed more like a $75/night property... read more

I think the best way to measure a hotel is to ask yourself if you would ever come back, and the short answer is no. I stayed here for business after staying in two different Marriott courtyards. I would say these two hotels would be comparable, however I found the Marriott to be much more enjoyable. While the hilton had a mini fridge and microwave in the room, I did not find any added value in that. Overall, the beds and pillows were both uncomfortable, and the air conditioner would loudly kick on and off quickly in the middle of the night. The ice machine on the floor was broken, and the coke machines required quarters. The breakfast is good, but you have to pay for it. The bar is really more of a counter with a bunch of liquor bottles on it. The lobby is decent, but not inviting. However, I would love to commend the staff. Everyone I came into contact with was an absolute pleasure - the service is the shining star here. The quality is just so so. It's not the worst I've ever experienced, but it is not great for the price you pay. read more

We booked our wedding hotel block at the Hilton Garden Inn, and it was perfect. Sabrina was great to work with. She was really responsive, helped with all of our questions and was very kind and polite. The rooms are newer, clean, and up to date. I felt good having our out-of-town guests there. The prices were great (our hotel block was $99, but if you booked online and paid in full at the time of booking, you could get a room for $74 or less!) We dropped off welcome bags and they made sure everyone got them when they checked in. The night of the wedding, they asked our guests to stay in the hotel lobby if they wished to continue celebrating to keep the noise off the floors so other guests weren't disturbed. It ended up being a perfect situation. Everyone stayed in the lobby and they were able to have their drinks and order pizzas, and when they were ready, they could go off to their rooms to sleep. We weren't worried about our grandparents being kept up all night by our teenage cousins and everyone had a great time. In the morning, my mom hosted a hang-over brunch in one of their conference rooms. The food was good, the space was clean and the prices were reasonable. If you're thinking about using this hotel for your wedding block or if you're staying in Addison/Bloomingdale and need a clean, cheap place to stay, this is a good bet! read more

I stayed here on business - not a bad business-class hotel. The location is a little awkward if you're not familiar with the area - somewhat difficult to find dining, and the view from my room was of a dirty drainage ditch and the expressway. Inspiring it was not. It is, however, convenient to get on I-355 and off to your destination. I ordered room service - prices were reasonable (for room service), and the food wasn't bad. I would have preferred having other dining options, but as I said, there wasn't much around. I'd be happy to stay here again if my business brought me to the west 'burbs. read more

I stayed here for my wedding. Jessica is a pleasure to work with and made the process easy. They have a bridal room to get ready and offer a free shuttle within a 5 mile radius. I was able to set up a shuttle for guests to/from Venuti's and my photo shoot location at Meacham Grove Nature Preserve. The staff is helpful. I actually misplaced my purse on my wedding day and they helped me locate it and get it back. It's not super fancy hotel, but that's expected since it's in the suburbs and not a city. They seem to run a clean establishment for sure. Friendly staff ...from the desk clerk to the servers to housekeepers, all as nice as can be. The room was adequate...if not a wee bit shopworn. The latch on my window was broken so I could not even open it the few inches it normally could open. The A/C was super. I like it cold, and it delivered! WiFi worked well...which was great. Now for the icky part. The lampshades. Both lamps on either side of the bed were cracked, and broken down from age, I guess. Big chunks of the plastic had chipped away in several places, so the linen fabric was all there was to shade the bulb, plus dents in them. Oh, hello suburbs. We stayed here for a wedding and it was good. Hotel has clearly been updated recently and now includes a bar, though I'm not entirely sure when (if) it's open. Check in was a breeze and there's a small "convenience store" behind the desk for all of your late-night drunk food needs. Each room has a nice TV, closet, and fridge so you can bring a ton of beer (which we basically did). Bathroom is large enough and the shower pressure was adequate. The room became incredibly hot once three people showered and the air conditioner seemed to be working overtime to accommodate all of the steam, so keep that in mind if you have others in the room with you. The only weird part of this hotel is the fact that the walls are paper thin. Let me explain: I was staying in a room with two of my best friends. We're about 30-years-old. We were NOT partying with the rest of the wedding party. We got back into our room and into bed with some beers and TV around 12:30 a.m. We were talking to each other and watching TV, but definitely not screaming or yelling. Around 1:30 a.m., someone knocked on our door and -of course- we didn't answer because we were three alone ladies and presumed a serial killer was outside the door. About five minutes later, the phone rings. Apparently someone had called in a NOISE complaint about us because we were being too loud. WHAT? It just didn't even make sense since we were just three ladies talking in some normal voices. The paper thin walls are not pleasant and I can't imagine having been a part of the wedding party who continued partying late into the night... were they getting complaints, too? There's too many kids up in this place. Other than that weird noise complaint (which has NEVER happened to me at a hotel), the place was pretty nice. Right off of 90, so you're close to the highway and not too far from a Walmart that sells beer, candy, and other assorted things you need when you're in a hotel. read more

Great hotel for my wedding party! We booked rooms here for our wedding back in October 2010 and Sabrina the hotel coordinator was very nice and helpful! I came in to see the rooms and also to check out the business suite a few months in advance and everything was new, updated and clean. When i spoke to Sabrina I told her that the hotel down the street would offer the bride and groom a complimentary room for them the night of the wedding and she told me that she could make the happen for us. We also used the hotel shuttle and they were accommodating and speedy picking us up at the restaurant. Would DEF stay here again! read more

We used this hotel recently for our wedding guests and it turned out to be a great choice. They offered a shuttle back and forth to our reception venue, which came in handy for those who had been drinking. They also allowed us to have a separate area for breakfast and gave vouchers to our guests for their continental breakfast (that we would pay for). Sabrina helped us set everything up (though I'm not sure she still works there) and the rooms were very nice for a good rate. Overall, we were very pleased with this hotel! read more
