I was in Tifton once before and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express next door and didn't want to stay there again. I remembered this was next door and booked it for one night and it was pretty good. The King Room was comfortable and had nice amenities (even a bar of soap). The pillows were better than most places. Breakfast had a lot of options and the coffee was good. There was even a cat roaming around, which I thought was awesome, but could see where some people would freak out and run through the glass doors. This is probably where I'd stay if I'm back in Tifton. read more

This was a one-night stay in passing, conveniently located off Hwy 75. Room and hotel was ultra-clean. The front desk service was sufficiently efficient. I like that Applebee's was within walking distance. Nothing fancy about this place - it is what you might expect at a Fairfield Inn. Breakfast was fine - there were biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage on their hot bar. Both coffee dispensers were empty - and unfortunately were not replenished during the time I was in their dining room. The front desk gave me a couple packets to make in the room so not a problem. read more

At my wife's, suggestion, we stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Tifton, Georgia. The service was warm and friendly at the desk, but we are talking, Georgia and southern hospitality. The room was clean and spacious. The rate for the room was reasonable, so basically a very good place to stay. So, everything was pretty normal until we came down for breakfast. Even breakfast was set up like the typical free breakfast that you get at many hotels. The first hint that this might be different was that everything was so pristine and well organized. Then things became quite different. The scrambled eggs were perfect, absolutely delicious along with the sausage gravy, the sausage, the oatmeal and all kind of things to put into it. I ate everything they had. I met the woman who put this all together. Like many very talented people, she was warm, friendly and very down to earth. Since Georgia frowns on kidnapping their exceptional chefs. We had to leave her there with our thanks for a really great breakfast. read more

I'm a Marriott platinum member and I've never stayed at a TownePlace suites that I haven't loved. Marriott owns the Fairfield brand now and they did not have a suites in the area so I figured I'd give it a try. The best thing about this place Is Carmen At the front desk was not only helpful but quickly accommodated my request to defeather the room happily (this was a last-minute emergency trip out of town. I do not expect this to be done every time I show up at a hotel I always arrange well beforehand). When I was leaving, I saw that woman putting out the breakfast This is one employee they should not let get away The furnishings were decent, not falling apart. And everything was clean but Marriott should not have their name posted all the front reception area because people expect what they get at Marriott hotels. I.e. The best Free breakfast in the business, comfortable beds with fine linens and products in the bathroom that you would find in a spa. None of those things were seen at this property. I stayed at the Tifton Fairfield Inn and Suites in August and it was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. I typically stay at the Springhill Suites in Tifton on the journey from Ohio to Florida and I will definitely be going back there and NOT this Fairfield Inn! I arrived around 10:15pm and checked in. That process was fine and she did thank me for my loyalty. The light on the room phone was flashing that there was a message, but it couldn't be retrieved. There were loud families outside my room for about 30 minutes, which happens, but delayed me getting to sleep until about 11:15pm. Once finally asleep, the smoke detector in my room went off around 11:30pm. It was annoying, but I was able to get back to sleep. The smoke detector went off again around 12:30am for several "beeps." I tried calling the front desk, but the call would not go through. I was able to get back to sleep only to have the smoke detector go off again for at least six "beeps" around 12:50am. I again tried to call front desk, but couldn't get through again. I got dressed and went downstairs to ask. The front desk only came when someone buzzed at front door to come check in. (This was a different employee from checking in.) I asked what was going on with my smoke detector and the receptionist replied I don't know, maybe the batteries. She stated that I could move rooms or she could come take it down. As it was 1:00am and I didn't want to move rooms, so I asked her to come take it down. She did come up promptly, but I only got a curt "sorry" as she was leaving. It was very hard to then get back to sleep and I needed to get up early to get back on the road. Then this morning, the same person was curt and short when I was asking for my ice blocks which I had put in freezer last night at check in. It really rubbed me the wrong way. Worst hotel experience in a long time. I currently live overseas and was traveling between visiting my adult kids and my dad. I guess I forgot how bad American customer service can be. Do better. At least apologize for the major inconvenience. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE! I woke up at 4:00AM and my eyes were burning. I smelled smoke. I thought there was a fire. But it was cigarette smoke. I'm stuck here sleeping in the lobby. All my clothes are going to have to be sent to the cleaners. I'm allergic to cigarettes and I can hardly breathe. Ruined trip! No where else to go. Front desk staff is no help. They are just saying there is no alarm and they won't even go check the room. read more

This is an older hotel. Like most of the Fairfield Marriott it needs some renovations. My review is on the fact that we were charged three times. When traveling and having pending charges can be a problem. Thankfully for us it wasn't but please make to check your final bill or your account at check in and check out. The staff in the morning and the front desk manager could work on being more apologetic. They didn't offer to make any changes to our stay. The front desk manager Brianna Bostick was only concerned with getting a form that should have been received upon check in. She offered no apology or explanation for why the charges which are still pending and not available. Customer satisfaction has to be better than what we got. read more

It was in Tifton, Georgia - It was the half-way mark to home, and we were coming back from our road trip to Chattanooga, Tennessee. We booked the Fairfield Inn & Suites ahead of time, knowing we didn't have to rush to get home and wanted a leisurely trip back since the trip TO Chatt was somewhat chaotic. Because then, we were running from Hurricane Irma. All the unknowns that we had going to Chattanooga, such as what hotels were available were known when we came back. We knew the territory. That's why we chose the town of Tifton. The price at this Fairfield Inn & Suites was mid-range. We also wanted to visit the famous Adcock Pecans in Tifton. This Marriott brand has always been one of my favorites, plus I get points from this chain. And comfy it was. We arrived at Dinner hour, hungry. First things first. There is a very good Red Lobster in Tifton (among many other good restaurants) that has great food, friendly people and perfect customer service. After having our food to-go (there was a 45-minute wait for dine-in), we settled in the hotel's comfortable space comprised of tables and chairs provided near the lobby. We sat in front of a big-screen TV, and watched the news to find out about damage along our route home while enjoying the modern ambiance and our meal. Afterwards, we took a tour of the hotel and discovered and met a few fellow evacuees from Florida at the pool. They also were returning home. We sat and chatted about everything from the hurricane to our kids on a beautiful cool Georgia night. It was a friendly gathering of folks who had much in common and phone numbers were exchanged with a few special people. The Fairfield Inn & Suites has a small but adequate gym for those who wish to work out. A full hot complimentary breakfast is provided for guests in the morning. The room is warm and cozy, the beds comfortable and firm, the bathroom towels are thick and bathroom toiletries provided are by Paul Mitchell. A nice touch is that there are charging docks located on both sides of the room, with a total of four of them. A mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and hairdryer round out the amenities. Fairfield Inn & Suites is next door to a Holiday Inn & Suites, so they both compete for parking space. The parking in both hotel's lots (free) was full to the brim the night we stayed. But since they share parking privileges, you won't need to worry about your car getting towed. Park at either hotel. It actually is a big positive about staying at this hotel. I slept like a rock. Newer hotel! Everything in the room was very well decorated and the bed was unbelievably comfortable memory foam. Location is near everything you would need. Walking distance to several restaurants. Very friendly staff at check in! Free hot breakfast was good. Nice pool area even though I didn't use it on this trip. The TV offered free internet streaming just sign into your Hulu, Netflix, HBO2go subscription. Just remember to sign back out when done viewing. I would definitely stay here again!! read more

As a Marriott Rewards member - this is one of the worst Marriotts I have been too. Made reservation as I was traveling with a pet (asked to be on first floor.) When I arrived I was told that over half of the hotel was not clean due to staffing issues and must put us on the second floor. In our state of economy - I understood. However, when they sent me to my the room (right next to me) they had a screaming/crying baby. I went downstairs to be moved and they said they were unable to get me another room. Mind you - the parking lot had only 5 cars in the lot. However, there was a man checking in behind me (non-Marriott rewards member) that got a different room. We ended up leaving the hotel and staying at The Hampton (much much nicer). Very disappointing of Marriott and I will be sending my complaint to corporate. read more

I had my vehicle broken into at a Marriott in Vegas so when I arrived to Fairfield in and suits I asked if they ever had issues with crime in the lot....with no hesitation the Manager Paul told me pull the truck into the front entrance and leave it there tonight so I would not have to worry..also extremely professional and polite all around. We ended up staying in town last minute due to weather, well a bunch of other people did too. Paul the front desk rep got floooded with calls and people at the same time. He handled it like a champ. Had great smile and energy for every customer and made every person feel special. Top it off with a clean and nice room it was all you could ask for. As a sales guy the room is expected but the rep makes the experience and Paul did that for us. read more

5 hours on the road and I was DONE. The beginning of a headache had started so I wanted a room. The coupon in the book said they had rooms for $89.00 a night. So I went to find this place, and Find it I did. When I went to check in, it appeared no one was behind the counter. I waited.. and waited. Finally I called out and someone came from the room behind the counter and helped me out. I showed her the deal, and she told me that it was booked, but she could offer me a suite for $99.00. As she started to book me, she saw I'm a Mariott Elite member (I have no idea what that is but I signed up for it a while back) and so the rate I;d asked for magically came up. I ended up with a twin queen room in a handicapped spot - with a tub that was HIGHER than most tubs in regular rooms. The beds were AMAZING though. So comfy. Very easy to fall asleep in. Clean and quiet, I had a nice, restful night until a dog barking in the morning woke me - this is a pet free hotel, or so I thought. I did mention this to the inn keeper in the morning. The breakfast was Ok. scrambled eggs, sausage and the typical fare of waffles made by you , fruit and what have you. I'd certainly stay again. read more

It pains me to give less-than-stellar reviews (maybe because it pains me to visit less-than-stellar establishments) but I can't conscientiously give this hotel more than these three stars. (Ha! 'Stars', 'stellar'; I see what I did there.) The staff certainly deserve better and the location is nice and peaceful - as peaceful as the pretty graveyard next door, as long as you don't believe in restless ghosties - but whoever is in charge of choosing cleaning supplies and making cleaning policies should be replaced. Maybe it's something that's decided on a national level, which would be a big mistake, but methinks it's unlikely. We're staying here in Georgia in the middle of the humid southeastern summer and the floor is sticky in the bathroom and the carpet is damp. Everything feels slightly damp, really, which leads me to believe that the humidity is mostly to blame, but it should be taken into account when picking out floor cleaner and when using a steam cleaner on the carpet. Or perhaps my problem is with the people who designed the rooms and failed to give them decent ventilation. I feel grimy and uncomfortable in what would otherwise have been a very comfortable room. I'm not sure we'd stay here again, but if we did it wouldn't be in summer. read more

I stayed here 16 nights..I was stuck at this location due to my company locking in the reservation. If I could have switched hotels, I would have. The staff was non responsive to my television not working. I contacted the front desk three times with no resolution or followup. Finally emailed hotel manager, he responded quickly, but never resolved the issue and never bothered to respond to my second request for help. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE! In May my family stayed here using our Marriott Reward Points. My Grandson became ill eating off the breakfast bar and unfortunately vomitted when we put him back to bed. He soiled a pillow case and some of the bedding. We reported this to the male front desk manager and he was not concerned that my Grandson was ill from the food (fruit) but, they were very quick to charge us $150 for damage to the sheets and pillow case that they caused. I contacted Marriott and they were not willing to help even though I was a Rewards Member for several years and stay at thier properties several times a month. We come to this hotel every year for the ga rec & parks state championship swim meet. We travel all the way from the far northwest part of the state (almost chattanooga) so it is very important we have a great place to stay in Tifton: the Fairfield never disappoints. They are so accommodating of our big group of rowdy kids. We have had early warm up times in years past and even though the swim meet people don't seem to realize how far we travel, the hotel does! They have always put breakfast out early for all our hungry swimmers! Just awesome. The hotel is modern, comfortable and always clean. I always enjoy staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites when I travel and this one is no different. Georgia State girls track meet is in Albany this weekend and I wouldn't dare try to stay in that city with hundreds of visitors crowded everywhere. Tifton is a 30 mins drive away but the availability of restaurants and hotels is plentiful. Arrived late to the hotel (around 10 pm) however because I used the Marriott online line app to check-in the day prior, when I arrived the front desk clerk immediately handed me my keys and pointed me in the direction of my room. No logging into her computer to check me in or a need for a credit card to verify my payment method. Felt kinda VIP-ish. lol! Room was very clean and inviting esp after spending the entire day in 80 degree temps at the track meet. read more

As a platinum member who travels a lot I was amused at check in... At 5:20pm I arrive at the desk ( no one around except Keagan clerk). I hand ID card and credit card to her, she looks at ID...she says your reservation is cancelled! I say I check in on the Marriott app how can that be? She looks many times at id. She asks.. Did you book through Expedia? No I am a rewards member and used the app to do express check in. Pause Pause lots of interesting faces and she keeps looking at my id. Finally I say- would you like my reservation number- no I found you but your room is not ready. Well I said I would be here at 3p but was delayed but it's 5:20 now. Well your room isn't ready. So I told her we were getting dinner that was fine. So she makes the keys... 'Are you staying one night or two?'....One...Word bubble over head(WHat kind of question is that?). This year's experience was exactly opposite of our last year's stay. The rooms and lobby have been fully renovated. No more smells! Bedding was comfortable. The staff was friendly and polite. Fairfield Inn & Suites gets only one star and that is because of their taking advantage of travelers scramming North out of Florida to escape a hurricane. Yes, they reluctantly allowed escapees that had pets to stay but when it came to check out we find an outrageous $75 charge for our 7 lb. Toy Poodle [fully trained and incapable of damage]. This on top of a price gouge nightly charge! Would they even consider budging to a more reasonable $25 or even $50? No, they would not. The room was fine but you are staying at a hotel that would stoop pretty low to penalize those escaping a dangerous hurricane. Stay somewhere else - make them pay a price for being such money grabbers. read more
