They told me there was a warranty with it , yet changed there story when there was an issue and refused to return my calls ( even 2calls to the general manager went unanswered) They'll tell you what you want to hear then refuse to stand behind it .... Had my car there for repairs and the people that work in that department are bunch of smart guys that think nothing of the customers

My family has been lifelong customers, and have spent easily 500k+ over the last 30+ years. Not sure what changed, but I have been through two scam attempts at routine oil changes. Manager essentially admitted one bc I knew enough about cars to see through the situation. Had to flip out just to get my car out of there the 2nd time, & cracked frame miraculously repaired itself, btw. Then my 16 year old goes in with a down payment saved from their job to buy a car, & they responded w/high pressure from the beginning, refused to answer a basic question about a known braking issue for the make and model of the car my kid was looking at, and to top it off, they got my wife to sign a document that 'reserved the car for a number of days', but was a sales agreement (yes, on us having signed papers), then provided no copies of the document to bring home for review, but put them in glove compartment for safekeeping. When we realized what happened, they dug their heels in, refused to acknowledge what they had said (to my 16 year old, remember), and said there was nothing they could do to unwind the transaction. I said my lawyer would be in touch. They laughed, which I get. Then my lawyer called, and behold, another miracle. The transaction was unwound. Praise the Lord, the blind can see. Horrible experience, let me start off by saying I would NOT FOR A SECOND recommend this sales team and more importantly the General Manager to my worst enemy. My girlfriend and I set out to purchase a 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV. We reached out to this dealer because they listed available units in stock. First lie, it's not hard to update your inventory online but I guess that's what brings people in the door right? We were put in touch with a saleswoman who either was new or simply clueless. There was so much uncertainty in her communication that at one point she even said "I'm doing the best I can on my day off" The transaction went like this.... First off here's the price of the vehicle. We got you approved at 7% interest rate with your trade in and zero down. Good to go... moving on We asked if we put 10k down what will that do for payments and or interest rate. She came back with that reduces your payments X amount and gets you at 4%, we replied, excellent, and wired 10k to "hold" the unit like we were asked. This whole time assuming the vehicle was on the lot only to find out it's approximate date to arrive at the dealership wasn't for 4-5 more days. Fast forward they then call us back AFTER we wired 10k to say "oh, we didn't realize there's a privilege tax in West Virginia. We need another 2,500 dollars." I guess they've never sold to a WV resident? Beyond frustrated at this point now the GM calls us and with his lack of professionalism tries to explain the tax, we're not dumb, we get tax but don't quote a price then add to it and act like you're doing US a favor. We then said, forget the 10k down we well stick with original quote at 7% and refinance with our local branch. They then came back and said.."oh it's 8% now with no money down. I get new Escalades are hard to come by and blowing off a customer and treating them like crap won't hurt the sale of the vehicle,literally there are people lined up for them, but get real, the dealership was all over the place and frankly rude so THAT costed them our business. We subsequently went to their competitor and ordered a 2022 Escalade ESV instead. My conclusion, I would never buy from here, nor send any family or friends. If there was less then one star they would have gotten it. read more

Purchased a used vehicle from this dealership out of state. Email communication started with "there are no marks scratches" from salesman. When delivered $3,600 of damages to rear which were quoted by two separate repair shops in my area. Dealer states quotes are high and accuses me of I'm not sure what. When reaching out to the manager Dennis Spotts, tells me there is nothing to talk about and contact my carrier. My carrier has pictures of the damage present on their lot at pickup- and just because the carrier didn't document- they are not believing pictures? Wow I didn't even ask for payment- I said let's work together and figure this out since sales rep mislead me on sale promising something that was competitive false. Attempts to president Rick Quigley never returned and Dennis stated he will not escalate to anyone. I don't blame my salesman at the end of the day- however when offering management many chances to make things right- they say no. Just know once they sell you the car- they don't care about you. Fairfield Chevy sold my 85 year old Dad a car he didn't need. My Dad went in because of the scam they use to get people into the showroom. If your number matches, you win a prize. My parents went in for the fun of the prize. They walk out with an overpriced used car they had no need for. High pressured sales tactics. They should be ashamed of themselves. After my Dad realized this, he tried to get out of the car and they would not allow it. They also sold him a 10 year warranty and got him a 7 year car loan at 7%!. If that is not taking advantage of an elderly person, I don't know what is. When we asked if they could help, they said, we would look at the car and value it at current prices. But when told about the vulnerability of my Dad, they refused to help any further. read more

Took my car there for warranty work. Took a few days for part to be delivered for the fix. Called a few times to check on progress. Last time I called, the gentleman was short and rude with me over the phone. Might have been upset that I have called several times, but each time I called I was told the part would be delivered "tomorrow" and it would be done tomorrow. I felt like I was a hassle, and I felt like I was annoying the service advisor. As a paying customer, whether I am paying them or my warranty is paying him, I don't think I should be treated rudely over the telephone because I called. I called back a few hours later and I asked to speak to the general manager. I left a message for the general manager to return my phone call to discuss some concerns I have. That was early afternoon on Thursday. It is now Saturday and I haven't had a return call. Very unprofessional, and rude. If I am such an annoyance when inquiring about my vehicle I will take my car to a different dealer and I won't take my car back there ever again. read more

I Recently bought a certified preowned Gmc 1500 Denali, after only 1800 miles the front breaks were metal on metal. I contacted my salesman multiple times and no answer. I posted a negative remark on the web and miraculously I got a phone call, stating that if I removed the post they might pay me for the breaks. This should not have even happened if the 172 point inspection was done correctly. I would stay away from Fairfield Chevrolet and do your homework, look at the reviews that are posted, their are quite a few bad ones about this place. Maybe if Management responded to their clients needs as fast as they respond to negative comments made on the web they would not have these issues. I am just waiting for the lame excuse that is coming, he did not reach out to us, sorry it got this far, maybe you did something to the breaks, etc. Do your homework before you buy a car from here. Beware of these con artist I made a deal for 4 grand down and financing 5 grand. After sitting for a hour waiting for the paper work the con artist come back with a deal with the financing for $6180. They offer ZERO warrenty on cars over 6 years old. All I wanted was 3 months or 3000 miles. Their mail scratch off con job is also a farce don't waste your time with these crooks. read more

They sent out some scratch game that looked like you were a winner but if you read the fine print (which I thankfully did before I went in) it says that you actually have a 1/70,000 chance of winning after your name was put into a pool. I can't imagine dealing with a company that is willing to scam customers just to get them in the doors. There is actually a class action lawsuit in another state against this exact contest. Then, after leaving an honest review of my experience at this place, they removed themselves from Google maps and you literally can't even search their name anymore. Nothing says "admission of guilt" more than a move like that. Ralph in Lewistown PA, On Oct 3rd, 2019 was at the dealership and the sales people were very pushy, like sharks and unprofessional. The sales person was right at the back of my vehicle before I even got out of it!! I even parked close to the VFW. I asked for a price on the vehicle I was interested in, 08 Toyota 4 Runner, and had my own financing but sales person wanted us to finance through them and would not even give me the straight sale price for over 2 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They ran my credit without permission!!! As I stated before, I had my own financing. Please stay away from this dealer and let others know about their bait and trap tactics and this is my second dealings with them and I'm NEVER going to buy from them again. Went there with my daughter after she received a sales flyer in the mail, she called and a salesman told her she won a free MP3 player and would get $300.00 in restaurant coupons along with $1000 off the price of a car. At the dealership it was nothing but smoke and mirrors here is your payment no straight answers on terms,financing rate, etc. Next interesting fact..the car she wanted to buy was listed on their sister site in California for a lower price. Question/red flag would be why are they moving cars across the country. Please do your homework and avoid the smoke and mirrors games at this dealership. Everyone at the dealership was very polite and courteous. We didn't arrange for a loaner car while our Cadillac was being serviced but when we arrived we were asked if we would like one. I took it in originally for an inspection and a recall. When I came back to pick it up I had noticed they changed my oil as well. I only had 30% oil life left so they took it upon themselves to do so [free of charge]. We love Fairfield and highly recommend using them for service as well as your next vehicle purchase! Ultimately the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. Wait days for a phone call that never comes on a vehicle that was bought from them, that has had issues from day 1, that is sitting in their parking lot waiting to be fixed. Have not even had this vehicle long enough to make the first payment, and this issues just keep building up. They have had the vehicle for well over a week now and still can't figure out what's wrong with it. When we call to get the progress of the vehicle never get a return phone call!!! Lied to from the get go. If you specifically ask the same question 3 different times and are told the same answer 3 times you would expect it to be correct, especially when you find out the former owner of the vehicle is a salesman at the dealership. They have known from day 1 with that vehicle what the issues were and chose to dump the problem on to some unsuspecting consumer. When the manager does not return phone calls, avoids you, they clearly know there is an issue and are proving everyday that they DO NOT CARE. If we would have known this NEVER would have purchased the vehicle. And I will NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone. As a matter of fact I have told several people to avoid it!!! I made an appointment. to look at and test drive a vehicle, that I was seriously considering purchasing. The sales person I was to meet, went home early. I then was stuck with a no name... no introduction salesman. Later I learned his name was Ryan Moser. He abruptly took us to the vehicle for a test ride. He never showed us the car, features or information. He did though inform us of the deep discount that Fairfield was offering on this vehicle (not true, it was GM rebates) to set us up for a poor trade in price. His sales presentation was extremely POOR! A car must sell itself, because he is clueless when it comes to presentation of sales. I would never go back or recommend this place.
