Our stay on Feb 28 was nothing short of very disappointing. From the outside, and from in the lobby, the place looks nice and inviting. Only upon settling in to our king suite room did we find many inexcusable deficiencies. Since is was late, we opted to tough it out and get to sleep, since we were only there for one night and needed immediate rest before an early departure in the morning. Here are a few of the more notable items: light would not work in the bathroom, outlet was defective in bathroom, floor in bathroom was nasty (we hand mopped it with a towel to show how dirty it was), toilet seat was completely broken in half, paint splatters were on the floor, someone had left stray pills (medicine) on the floor. We rang the bell for the manager at the front desk and waited almost twenty minutes with no one ever coming to the desk. We finally spoke to the breakfast area staff and told them we needed to speak to the manager. She said the manager was on a conference call and did no know when she would be available, but assured us we would get a call. We left the detailed list with our keys and room number and departed. It has been over a month and still no call and no assistance. This is definitely not the Fairfield experience we have been accustomed to, and certainly does not live up to the Fairfield Promise. read more

This is the place to stay while in Jackson area. Kim was working the front desk and she was so wonderful !! Nothing better than a smiling face and happy person to welcome you . This Marriott property is great! I see a lot of complaints from other people and I didn't see any of those issues on my recent stay. They offered us goodie bags at check in with snacks and water! Our room was great! There was a musty smell but not overwhelming. I did an extensive check of the room like I always do wherever we stay, and it was very clean! It is a good place to stay if you are traveling through. I will say one thing, I thought it was very weird that we got a knock at our door at 10 am asking us when we are leaving. The staff member stated she wanted to go ahead and clean our room so she could go home. I found that odd since check out is at noon. It felt very invasive. read more

We stayed at this hotel on our way back to Texas and it was a decent experience. We did have to have the cleaning staff come and clean the toilet but other than that the room was fine and clean. The staff was very nice at the front desk and was able to give us the information we needed. Due to the pandemic they had "grab and go" breakfast. They had breakfast burritos you could bring back to your room and heat up that weren't bad, some granola bars, nutrigrain bars and juice. I will take it compared to our hotel on the first half of our trip which offered nothing. Overall this is a decent hotel to stay at and there were several food options within a few minutes drive for dinner. You can see this Fairfield Inn from the Highway. read more

This is a fairly new hotel, but it is very poorly maintained. I checked in Monday for the week. My first room (401) had no cable tv, a broken thermostat, & the bathroom door knob came off in my hand. The young man on duty (alone) moved me to 410 at about 9:00pm where I later noticed the toilet was slow, but made the best of it. By morning plumbing was completely clogged. I now just returned from lunch to be told both elevators are out of order. (I have a chronic health issue and cannot climb stairs to 4th floor. This is unbelievable. I just heard a man say he stayed here a year ago when rain poured in through the ceiling. Come on, Marriott, this property is VERY POORLY MAINTAINED. read more

Smells like mold and mildew in rooms on 3rd and 4th floor. Refrigerator shits off after 2 hrs so you constantly have to keep turning it on. TV stopped working and nobody at the front desk EVER answered the phone. By far the worst Fairfield I've ever stayed in. read more

Our stay was great, this place had awesome breakfast opening bright and early at 6am. Staff was very kind and very helpful. In our first room our tv was broken so we moved to another room and everything was fine! If the first room was good it would be 5 stars! There were many amenities close by like Home Depot, and many food places like Taco Bell, Starbucks, and McDonald's. If you are nearby grab this hotel! read more

This is a really nice hotel. It is located off the beaten path as it is outside of Jackson city limits. There are a few restaurants nearby, but nothing upscale. The hotel is fairly new and is stunning. My room was ready upon my arrival and I received a free upgrade. I had a really nice king size bed, there were two televisions, a computer and a big walk in shower. The area was quiet and the workers were friendly. The only drawback is the GPS takes you on a tour to get to this location. Additionally, there is construction going on nearby too. It didn't take long to figure out where to turn. read more

We stopped in Clinton to visit family and decided on this hotel. It's brand new and just expected a clean room with a comfortable bed to sleep in. Everything was ok until we got in our room. It had a strange Oder and didn't seem very clean. My 6 yr old daughter found a play station controller on the floor. The window curtains were stained prob food or something. The as diffuser was smashed in. When I took a shower the bath filled with brown water that took forever to drain. I told the manager all this and she told me she would follow up with me but never has. I've never seen a hotel so disorderly. The maid staff had cleaning supplies and equipment everywhere when we were checking out. We could not get a luggage cart even after asking 2x the manager said people keep them in they're rooms. It seemed like the 3rd floor Atleast was people living there. Maybe that's why the room was so beat up. read more

Stayed here 05/06/16 overnight in room 303. Very nice hotel. As soon as you enter, the lobby is so modern, clean, and inviting. Also, the front desk employee, Erica, was very pleasant and had such southern hospitality, the first impression was everything. The room was spacious and clean...comfy bed...two TVs...living room area with a couch and desk...microwave and refrigerator...nice, clean bathroom. One thing to note, if you're the type who takes baths in hotels, the bathroom only has a shower, so don't expect a bathtub. I love the shower though... glass doors, adequate shower pressure, nice lighting. The hotel also offered free breakfast...we slept through it, so I can't comment on that =) I would totally recommend this hotel and when I'm in Clinton again I'll definitely stay here. read more

We had a very difficult time finding this Fairfield with our GPS but with a phone call to a courteous person at Fairfield soon found the hotel. We were cheerfully greeted when we entered the lobby at 2:30 PM and told that it would be 30 minutes before the room was ready. (There is a shortage of workers currently so we completely understood). At 3:00 we checked and the lady at the front desk walked us back to the room-we've never had this paper before! We are a retired military couple and have stayed at military recreation areas, Navy Lodges recently as well as other Marriott hotels and this Fairfield Hotel is the best! Courteous personnel who are obviously doing their jobs as well as housekeeping and they are still cheerful! I would not hesitate to say that someone in authority should pay them more than they are receiving. Sure, a few stray hairs could be found but the conduct of the employees working so hard negates a few loose hairs. Besides, I would venture to say that those that complain don't have a home as clean as this Fairfield Hotel! if we come back this way we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. read more

Easy check-in. Friendly staff. Warm cookies on arrival. Parking area is for hotel only, well-lit and plenty of space. Hotel is convenient to Interstate 20. (You can see it from the road) I stayed in a regular room king. It was a smaller size room but provided all the amenities needed. Room was quiet and very clean. I did not go into this experience expecting the Mandarin Oriental or L'Hotel Paris- but I did expect a clean room, working doors and a fresh smelling air conditioner. Perhaps I expected too much. Rather, I found hairs in my bed when I turned down the sheets , mold all over the tub's caulking and a sour smell when the air conditioner ran. Stains coat the mid-2000s colored yellow walls and the curtain rods are so corroded by rust you can't shut the blinds fully. Blood or vomit- likely blood as it has turned brown with age- stains the wallpaper behind the toilet. The side entrances for the hotel keycards do not work so you have to walk to the main entrance regardless of where you park. They are getting two stars merely for the fact that it was fairly quiet. For $150 a night I wish I had slept in my car. I have traveled to several countries and most of the states and this is the most I have paid for such a dirty hotel. I have never reviewed any hotels before but felt compelled to speak up about our stay at Fairfield Inn in Jackson, Mississippi. The front desk person was very hospitable but the room was another story. The king bed was fine on one side but was about an inch or more lower on the other side - VERY uncomfortable. The air conditioner leaked and the carpet was wet. It had an overpowering smell of cleaner/disinfectant and over all "tired" appearance. I wouldn't be so harsh if cost mirrored the stay but, sorry to say, it was much over priced! I give this hotel a and definitely would not recommend it until they decide to remodel or update. read more

Terrible customer service. We booked a room with a roll out bed, tonight. When we arrived and asked for the roll out the man at front desk just rubbed his head and said he'd bring one. At 11:00 he hadn't called, hadn't brought bed. When we went to desk and said, we need our bed, it's time to go to bed. the man just rubbed his head again, didn't resolve the problem, didn't offer compensation didn't do anything but rub his head and wait for us to leave him alone. We have still not received a bed, nor a call telling us we won't get one. Are you Kidding? To quote Jerry Seinfeld " you're really good at taking the reservations, you're just not good at holding the reservation, and really, isn't the holding of a reservation the most important part?" There's a hundred places we could have picked on I-20. We chose this one because they said they could accommodate us. Liars and cowards! ...still waiting for that roll away bed, guess I'll sleep on the floor. Nice. read more

The only reason why I'm giving 3 stars is because of the past few visits where excellent and i actually made this location my go to every time i came home to visit family and friends. I was always giving a double queen because i didn't reserve my rooms. I reserve a king bed room for two nights in April. I was satisfied with my room until i woke up to what i thought was a allergic reaction. I didn't think more into it but as a slept the next night i was waken again with uncontrollable itching and swelling on my face, arms, and legs. It could only be bed bugs or unclean sheets on the 4th floor room 417. I now bring my own blankets with me when i go to other rooms. But also this hotel was $130 a night and i expect more. read more

Booked thru Expedia it said I would have 2 queen beds and a sofa pullout.. called the hotel to confirm they had this they said yes.. I get there and I only get 2 queen beds he manager blamed Expedia but later told me he just booked the last one... someone isn't telling the truth but other than that mishap it's a regular hotel would have been better if the maid didn't keep knocking on the door wondering if we have left already.. no we haven't let the office tell you we left.. read more

I would stay here again. The staff was incredible. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right. Professional, genuinely personable, helpful, and nice....from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the breakfast staff. Honestly have never felt so welcome and taken care of. Our room was large, the bed & pillows super cozy and not over-bleached, the bathroom was big, and the furniture and fixtures all felt new. If you don't come expecting a room with a view (nestled between The Home Depot and I-20...but you would not know it because it was so quiet, and we saw deer the first night in the grassy lot across the street), you will be super pleasantly surprised. I stayed here a week ago for an exam I needed to take. The hotel is very new. My room was 317, on the third floor. I arrived around 9:00pm and the desk lady was really polite. My room was not vacuumed, the surfaces were not clean, the glass shower had soap grime on it, and there was hair all in my sheets. I sprayed everything down with my travel sized Lysol, showered and went to bed. On the morning of my test, I asked the front desk lady to have room service vacuum really good because someone had left their hair all around the room and several different kinds of little debris on the floor. I got back from my test around 4:00pm and the bed had been made, towels changed and no vacuum. On my way out to dinner, I politely asked again to have the floor vacuumed. I returned that night around 9 again and prepared for bed, and someone in the hotel was so noisy. I fell asleep anyways only to be woken up by a very consistent knocking noise coming from the walls in the bathroom or so it seemed. I kept checking the hallway to see what it was, but it was inside the walls or something. It went on from the time I woke up around 6am until I finally got upset and left at 8. They really need to work out the kinks here! read more

Great new hotel with modern design. Sits on a hill and easily visible from interstate but far enough to not be effected by noise. Lobby was inviting. Seemed like a huge construction crew was staying at the property but it did not effect my stay. Ill def be back read more
