The Fairfield Inn & Suites is just outside of town and definitely not walking distance to the main town in Moab. It's a short drive into town, but you will have to find parking in town, etc. The rooms are quite spacious as there is a separate sitting area with a couch, coffee table and desk, and the room is large enough to have two TVs (but you should be watching the same thing since the areas open up to each other). Breakfast in the lobby can be hectic as everybody is rushing to get out to Arches. I appreciate that they try to mix things up so you don't have the same proteins every day. They also have the standard selections: make-your-own waffles, oatmeal, greek yogurt + toppings, eggs, meat protein, breads (English muffins, bagels, slices of bread), peanut butter, jelly, cereals, etc. The hotel can be a bit loud as the pool closes to kids at 10p but is still open for adults until 11p, and our room faced the pool. There are no restaurants on premises but you can order room service from the Springhill Suites. There are other shared services with the Springhill Suites including a shared pool. The location is excellent for Arches - only about a 5 minute drive away. read more

The very best ever front desk employee we have ever had the pleasure of meeting in alllll of our years traveling! Red is a GEM!!! Hotel is very clean, pools and hot tubs are amazing! Breakfast was good, one breakfast attendant was rather rude and we could hear her yelling back in the kitchen. I hope she has better days. There aren't many restaurants or shops in this area but I'm sure eventually they will be built. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. The rooms are spacious with a nice layout. There is work area, sofa, coffee table, and 2 tvs. It's pretty nice actually. The rooms are clean and well stocked. The weird part is that room refresh is only every other day. It looking for full housekeeping, but just a room refresh. The breakfast is not bad. Wish it had a waffle station but it didn't. Either the floor/ceiling is paper thin or the family above us was abnormally obnoxious. Either way, it sounded as if a parade was being rehearsed in the morning before we left, the afternoon after we returned and the evening when we got back from dinner. I'm not sure if I'm rating the hotel or the family above us, but since I don't have that family's yelp profile, I'm forced to rate the hotel. I did notify the front desk several times, and the staff showed concern and said they'd call the room above, but it did nothing to abate the issue. Other items to note: neither tv worked consistently, the bed side lamp was broken, and housekeeping did not vacuum after servicing room. I get it, lots of visitors/families/kids to the area, so stuff is gonna get loud/used/worn. But this place wasn't cheap and I've come to expect more from a Marriott property. If we visit Moab again, we'll certainly be staying elsewhere. read more

If visiting Arches, this is the place to stay. Literally almost across the street from the park. Every room has an awesome view. It's on the banks of the Colorado River and there's also a nice park(Lions Park) with multiple trailheads right down the road. It's about 2.5 miles from downtown Moab. Free breakfast was standard hotel fare but good. We didn't use the pool or multiple hot tubs but they looked clean. read more

The pool was beautiful, but very busy. Very family friendly so if you don't like kids i wouldn't recommend, i had to adjust to the kids but otherwise i enjoyed the pool, view and the room. Very comfortable. We stayed two nights so we had breakfast and they had a variety of breakfast foods and it was delicious. The eggs, sausages and make your own oatmeal and variety of juices. Wow. This place is great. For the price, you cannot get better! It's extremely clean, well-managed, and rooms are spacious. Bedding is actually comfortable! We got the king suite which included a sitting area with pull out bed. Works well with kids when you don't want to sleep in a queen 2 ft apart. Free breakfast is standard hotel fair. Straight forward but satisfying. The best part by far is the outdoor area. It has a frickin' water park! Giant waterfalls with a lazy river surrounding it, a separate splash pad, another shallow pool, two hot tubs, an area with outdoor games, and a giant fire pit. Plus, you can order room service and food outside, which is generally not a standard amenity for 3 star hotels. I wish more hotels were like this! Kids LOVE it! read more

Booked this hotel en route toward Blanding, Utah since this was the nearest brand hotel chain along the way. I flew in to Salt Lake City and was already 4 hours on the road due to weather conditions as well as nearby municipal airports having limited flights. It was still a good 1.5 hour drive to my final destination, however glad I lodged here. The hospitality was wonderful. I had such a great experience being welcomed by the evening staff member at the front desk named Ray. He also provided helpful information on where to visit along the way. He recommended four corners being a 1.5 hour drive from Blanding, but rather spend most my time in Moab to check out the National park and the arches (down the street from the hotel) and I am glad I did! He also offered me a s'mores kit to hang out at the fire pit and enjoy, which I did take him on the offer. The property shares a pool with another Marriott property (Springhill Suites) that has four hot tubs and a spacious swimming pool. The hot tubs looked relaxing, even though I did not give it a try; a heated jacuzzi in below freezing weather. Mediocre rooms, but considering the weather was 14 degrees, I felt the hospitality on the road! One night price on a weekday: $209.19 PS: I ended up doing a solo hike to the Delicate Arch in Moab, totally a site to see! The petroglyphs are definitely a must check out. Great access to Arches National park. Staff is great and friendly. But air conditioner didn't work When we got there and wanted to refresh before dinner realized there was no body wash. A staff told me will be sent right away to which didn't happen and was later told that they had ran out of it!! Finally next day one became available at my insistence. . What: clean, newish hotel. Rooms were quite and bed soft and comfy. Service: we do mobile check in so it was fast and efficient last night. We came on two separate nights and the first night we were on the 3rd floor. The next visit a few nights later, we were on the 2nd floor with free upgrade to a suite since hubby is a Titanium Elite member. Both were very nice overlooking the pool but I prefer 3rd floor so that no one is stomping around on your head. Amenities: I love that they have a filtered water station near the lobby for you to refill your water bottles. A+! Swimming pool is AMAZING. It has several waterfall features, a splash pad area and 2-3 hot tubs and 2 swimming pools. We had not brought our swimsuits so we went and bought suits just to use this pool! Two Marriott properties share this pool area so that's why is so big and awesome. My 11 year old had a blast playing with other Note to management: please clean the refrigerators better. I reserved a night at this hotel for the return leg of an out-of-state trip based solely on driving by. It looked pretty new and nice, and I was less than thrilled with the place I had stayed the previous night in Moab and was scheduled to stay in on the return. The name of the chain will remain nameless, but I made the mistake of booking it on one of those "discount" travel sites, www.booking.com. I just called the Fairfield directly and checked availability and pricing. Surprisingly it was no more expensive than the previously booked hotel. So I made a reservation. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! (The harder part was canceling the return leg with booking.com, because I was driving through the Colorado Rockies while trying to enter the 20-odd digit confirmation number and passcode about a million times before I just gave up and waited until I reached my next overnight destination and called in again and finally was able to get 'er done.) So I pulled into the Fairfield shortly before sunset and the parking lot was full and there was quite a long line of cars in the check-in/check-out portico, and a similarly long line of people inside at the front desk, but the staff was very pleasant and helpful. They did have a "bathrooms closed for cleaning" sign up near the lobby restrooms, which I ignored because I had to go pretty badly after being on the road for eight hours, but I never saw any staff in or near the bathrooms actually cleaning them at that point. As soon as I checked in, parked and dropped off my stuff in the room, I hit the pool area. And, wow, what a pool it was! Really more like TWO pools, about FIVE hot tubs, and multiple splash pads for the kiddos. Very nice! They even had several concrete structures to mimic the red rocks in nature all around us, and waterfalls coming out of several of them. And even though it was outdoors, the water was heated so extremely comfortable temperature-wise. And the hot tub was nicely warm but not too hot, which can sometimes be the case. I have to say it was one of the nicest hotel pools I have ever experienced, top five for sure! They had lots of seating areas including tables with umbrellas, low lounge chair groupings around firepits, and plenty of chaise lounges. They also had several seating options on the outside of the fenced-in pool area so you could eat your free breakfast in the morning or have your evening cocktails and enjoy overlooking the pool area. Oh, as if a pool wasn't enough water, it turns out the hotel borders the Colorado River, which I somehow didn't realize until I checked in! They even had benches, trails and landscaping next to the river so you could sit and watch the water gently rolling along. Beautiful and relaxing! The room itself was very nicely appointed with lots of thoughtful touches like several charging outlets. I was too pooped to drive somewhere for supper, so I got a frozen dinner in the lobby concession area and the front desk person even gave me a couple of disposable silverware sets to take back to my room! The bed was quite comfortable, although there was a weird rattling in my A/C unit all night that sounded like someone crumpling paper! LOL! I will totally stay here again and hope to take hubby with me next time! read more

Let's start with the good. The view from our room was unbelievable! Rivaled only by going into Arches national Park itself. The pool is one of the best family friendly pools we've had at a hotel. The free breakfast buffet was really good. Now the great. The staff was nice enough and accommodating. Except for one employee who stood head and shoulders above, not only her coworkers but above most hotel staff we've ever come across. Ms. Pam made our stay. She checked us in and made us feel welcome in the beginning. Then remembered our kids and gave them special attention throughout the week. She also runs the kids camp (no surprise). Overall decent experience. There was nothing extraordinary about this place, but I would still recommend it to anyone coming to Moab considering you'll be out of the hotel room most of the time. The room we got had two queen beds and it was a decently sized room. They provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathroom, but I'd recommend bringing your own. Breakfast was not the best and would be comparable to school food. The pool was nice, but isn't deeper than 4 ft. There are hot tubs and a cute waterfall type decoration. read more

Loved this little inn. Right down the street from the National Archs Park entrance and a short drive to downtown Moab. The beds were incredibly comfortable and clean. Our room was on the ground floor between the exit and breakfast area. It was one of the best rooms we had stayed in at any Fairfield Inn. The room was clean and upgraded. What an amazing drive... following the flow of the Colorado River! We just returned from an awesome family vacation in and around Wyoming, Utah and Colorado. After dinner in Park City, UT, we talked with a couple at the hotel who had just visited Moab. They recommended visiting Arches National Park and places to see the sunset... they shared that there is a road that was on the north side of town, near the Colorado River. I went back to the room and checked it out. That road is Highway 128. So I planned the sunset viewing for at least my wife and me. After we got to Moab, I took a few minutes to drive east on Hw 128, and did see several places to see the sunset, including the one the couple mentioned. And... I looked at the map. We intended to drive from Moab to Vail by driving back in the way we arrived... Hw 191 north back to I-70... two sides of a triangle. And then the map showed the third side of the triangle, the hypotenuse that is Highway 128. While the drive time means that the shortest way to Colorado may take a few more minutes, the view is spectacular, and sooooo worth it. The road parallels the Colorado River... sometimes rising above it, sometimes with a ranch or two between you and the water, but it parallels the river through a canyon... you're almost floating the, except you're in a car, on asphalt... but you almost get the same effect of actually being on the water... the views, spectacular. And near the end, near I-70, you can see the Dewey bridge, a wooden suspension bridge, which apparently used to carry car traffic before the current bridge was built... sadly the bridge was damaged in a fire and hasn't been replaced yet. As you get closer to I-70, you'll pass Cisco. Cisco, CO was an abandoned town.... buildings were standing and falling down, with "No Trespassing" spray painted on them... it was a little sad. If you're in Moab, we recommend it. Drive time's ~ 45 minutes each way... more if you understandably stop along the way. read more

What a great hotel with a fantastic location. This is the perfect place for families to stay during their visit to Moab, Arches and Canyonlands. Located 5 minutes from the entrance to Arches, 30 miles from the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands, and just outside Main Street Moab, this is the place to be and has perfect views to boast as well. The rooms here are modest and CLEAN. Each room is equipped with a small fridge and microwave. A buffet breakfast is included in your stay as well. These amenities are especially helpful for families with kids. The breakfast each morning had a waffle station, scrambled eggs, breakfast meat, fresh fruit, cereal, muffins/toast, etc. Something to satisfy everyone. There are coin operated laundry facilities (we utilized, everything was clean!), fitness center, bike storage, water bottle filling station. But the best part is the impressive pool area. The pool facilities are shared with the Springhill hotel, so it's quite massive. Two large pools, 3 hot tubs, fire pits, and incredible views of the Utah red rocks. The only negatives for us: the shower water pressure was terrible; basically non existent. It made showering take twice as long. The beds could use some updated; the mattress was really not comfortable, which made it difficult to get a really good night's rest. With all that said, we would definitely stay here again if/when we return to the area, and will recommend to friends/family who may be traveling to Moab. read more

Great hotel very close to Arches National Park. Our room was well appointed and clean with a great view of red rock. Really nice to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room and a smart tv. Air conditioning worked great. We were greeted at check in and offered waters and cookies and told about the breakfast and pool, fitness and other amenities. We enjoyed the hot tub 9:30-10 pm which was really amazing after a long day traveling and seeing sunset in Arches. The lighting, pools, 4 hot tubs and towel availability were perfect. I stayed one night here in March 2021, and it was a really good stay. I was not supposed to be in Moab for another night, but a snowstorm decided that I should stay put. I paid a little more than I should've, but hey, you do what you have to do. Check-in took a bit as there was only one-person open, and I was not able to check-in via my phone. I was given a first floor room which is not my preference, but I knew the hotel was full. I do appreciate with the Hilton brand that you can often choose your room location. I was not able to do that here. Room was very clean given COVID times. The door had an odd way of opening and closing. I felt like I was learning how to open and close a door for the first time. I do think they need a traffic light to turn in and out of this parking lot as it did take me a few minutes to be able to turn. I would stay here, again, if I was in Moab. read more

Let's start with the worst; Was charged over $700 for a one night stay (6 separate charges on my card). I called the hotel to fix it and was put on hold and transferred to the same two front desk employees repeatedly. After 10 minutes of this ridiculousness, I was transferred to a manager to only get her voicemail. Still haven't received a call back and had to call corporate help line and file a claim and receive a case number. Completely unprofessional and fraudulent establishment. The bad: Our room had multiple large brown stains on the carpet. The room clearly hadn't been cleaned anytime in recent history. The body wash in the shower was empty and there was a strange hair on the wall. When we ordered room service (two entrees) we were provided only one set of utensils. When I asked for an additional set, the employee said "oh, I don't know" and then left. read more

TVs in both rooms, but they were open to each other, so not ideal if you wanted to private bedrooms. The hotel had amazing views of the Colorado River. The hotel shares pools with another Marriott property - it was a great outdoor space with multiple fire pits, hot tubs, and pool areas. Everything about this hotel is amazing, from the friendly staff, wonderfully organized and detail-oriented event coordinators, beautiful views, to the exquisite rooms. Everything is top notch, and our clients are always very pleased that we selected this hotel! The location is perfect because you are still close enough to downtown that going to a nice restaurant for dinner is not inconvenience, but it is also located just far enough out of town that you can head out to the national parks without having to deal with city congestion. One of the better Fairfield Inns my wife and I have stayed in. Despite being two years old, everything looked brand new and super clean. Our room was huge with plenty of space including a sofa and desk area. This hotel is the closest to the Arches park but not convenient to the rest of Moab without taking a drive. Parking was plentiful and hassle free. Their pool area was nice but geared more for kids with most of the pool being only a foot or two deep. Breakfast was pleasant with some hot dishes in addition to the standard carb loaded cold cereals and breads. All the staff we interacted were friendly and always wished us a nice day. Beware the basketball court! I would have given five stars except there's a basketball court just outside the rooms in the southwest side of the hotel. Thump, thump, thump, thump until 9:00 pm. I would stay again but ask for a room on the other side. And, while the front desk people were not rude they were not up to Marriot standards of friendliness. The pool was absolutely incredible pool with several hot tubs, and water falls for Kid's. The rooms were a nice size, clean and airy, with comfortable beds. They had incredible views of the surrounding mountains and pool depending on your room location. It had the typical Fairfield free breakfast, nothing overly special here, and plenty of parking. I felt it was a bit pricey and especially for the town, though considering what else was was available in town, they could charge whatever they really want. That considered, I'd still stay there again. It's situated in a perfect location just on the north edge of town away from the traffic --though moderate. read more

This is not the place if you want a hotel that practices Covid safety precautions or has a front desk staff that cares about customer service. The latter is based on my observation of the staffs interaction with customers who called in to make a reservation and a family who arrived early. In 100 degree temperatures, a family with small children could have been accommodated rather than sending them downtown for 2 hours. I saw no evidence of Covid precautions and bed linens were wrinkled. This was the first time I've ever seen bed linens that were not crisp and smooth. read more

If you are a Marriott loyalist and a MTB'er then this is a no brainer. This is the first hotel I've seen with dedicated bike storage...I mean they have a huge room with wall racks for bikes only! This alleviates the need to drag your precious MTB into your room or risk a ding/dent due to some non biker mishandling your rig and stacking someones fat suitcase on it. The free breakfast was awesome, there were some healthy options, but not many. Watching the free breakfast herd is always entertaining, do you really eat a plateful of bacon with a cup of brown sugar on your oatmeal at home? read more

I've been Marriott platinum for more than a decade, and have had many great (and a few not-so-great) Marriott experiences, at a wide variety of properties. This is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review, because this property just nailed it. Of course, this isn't a "five star" hotel in the traditional sense (it's a Fairfield Inn after all), but it earns every star in its category. The property is very new (11 months old according to the very pleasant desk clerk), and it looks it. Everything is clean and shiny. (One downside: your nav system might not know it exists.) The room is one of the most thoughtfully designed rooms (of any class of hotel) I've ever stayed in. The basics are all there: comfortable beds, plenty of towels, fridge, microwave, but it's the human design that makes it shine. There are more electrical outlets in all the right places than in any hotel I've ever been in. Six available outlets over the desk, and four (!) available outlets by the bed. That means you don't have to unplug the clock radio to keep your devices charging by the bedside. Speaking of bedside, the nightstand has two tiers, so you can put your book or iPad on the lower tier, and still be able to keep your phone/eyeglasses/water within easy reach. Similarly, the desk is laid out in two tiers, as is the bureau, so you always have plenty of surface area for your personal use, and don't have to rearrange the hotel's publications. It's a small thing, but I also appreciated the thoughtful decor. Instead of the standard, framed artwork replicated in hotels worldwide, this Fairfield Inn hotel room featured some beautiful framed photos taken in Arches National Park (the 2-miles-down-the-road reason guests are here to begin with). We had a handicap accessible room. Ordinarily I hate that, because they cut down the bathroom counter area. But this large bathroom also had a large surface for two people to store all our gear. The lobby and dining area were similarly arranged to optimize the user experience. Different stations kept the lines down, and every station had all of the right accessories, plates, and utensils right there. All areas of the hotel -- room and public areas -- are clean and inviting. This hotel should be an example to other properties that you don't have to be an upscale property to get the details right.
