Nice hotel, located in downtown Moab, within walking distance to everything. We really enjoyed their pool area and hot tub. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel has a fitness center and complimentary breakfast in the morning, it will help you save a few dollars.

We have stayed in many different Best Western motels. Best Western Canyonlands is definitely among the best of the bunch. We stayed at this one for 3 nights in late August 2022. Our room had 2 queen beds and was on the second floor, just around the corner from the elevator and overlooking the pool. We loved the room because it was clean, spacious and had plenty of places to work and store our belongings. The bathroom included a fully equipped room and an extra sink just outside of it. A fridge and microwave are available in the room. Breakfast, both the food and the setting, was outstanding. The selection of both hot and cold items was great. Among the hot items were scrambled eggs, cheese omelets, fried potatoes, and a breakfast meat. There's a pancake machine (somewhat slow), hard-cooked eggs, breads, cereal, yogurt, and freshly-prepared fruit. Attendants make sure items are available throughout the breakfast timeframe. Unlike most places, breakfast is served on the 2nd floor. Tables are available both indoors and in a wrap-around outdoor terrace (which is open into the evening). No smoking is permitted. There is coffee and cold water available in the lobby 24/7. A few things about this motel bothered us: 1) while smoking isn't permitted on the 2nd floor terrace, there's a smoking area just outside the front lobby door and smoke wafts up 2) quite a few electrical outlets were so loose as to be unusable 3) the room safe is located beneath a luggage surface, almost at floor level 4) in the breakfast room, plastic utensils were individually plastic-wrapped, a very wasteful practice 5) the A/C seemed to go off at night; we awoke a few times feeling very warm. 6) some 2nd floor rooms appear to be located in an area requiring access via half a flight of stairs All in all, though, we had an excellent stay and would definitely return if pricing remains as competitive as it was this visit.

We usually travel with a pretty large group of 6-7 people. (Yep, 6-7!) So the casitas fit the bill perfectly. There was a nice full size kitchen downstairs, with a pullout bed option in the sitting area. There was a little dining room table as well. Upstairs there were multiple bedrooms with pretty comfortable beds and pillows. The bathrooms were also nice and the showers were powerful which is always a huge plus at any hotel. It also had a really nice pool area with a neat little whirlpool section that the kids really enjoyed. Everything was updated and modern so it was very enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a dog friendly, kid friendly resort, very close to the downtown area of Moab for easy access to shops and restaurants. This place is perfectly placed and beautifully built. The rooms were clean as were the bathrooms. Room service was very nice about taking all the trash and cleaning up the dishes. I only had one complaint and it was a fairly large one. The mattress in the king bedroom was lumpy and super uncomfortable. I spent 2 nights on it before my back completely rebelled. When I addressed this with the front desk, they offered a mattress topper to even out the lumps and this was a very good solution. I still highly recommend this place and would suggest to review the mattress right away if you have back issues - and it is for this reason I took off one star.

The complimentary breakfast was a nice perk, offering potatoes, eggs, and a sweet option like waffles or French toast. I only wish they had shredded cheddar cheese available to top the eggs. For pet owners, the hotel does a good job. They have a designated outdoor potty area with turf, bags, and a garbage bin for easy cleanup. That said, they planted thorny bushes around the space, which wasn't ideal--when Luna wandered into them, I got poked trying to pick up after her. Still, I appreciated that the area existed, since not all pet-friendly hotels provide one. The pool area was well-kept, and we enjoyed the hot tub, though there was a constant buzzing noise (likely from the jets) that made it harder to fully relax. I didn't mention it to staff, so I won't hold it against them. One real disappointment was the bar. Compared to the Hyatt Regency in Salt Lake City, this one felt very small and limited. When I asked the bartender for a dessert cocktail suggestion, he flatly replied, "Not much." He didn't offer alternatives, so | just ordered a glass of wine instead. For a Hyatt, I expected a bit more effort and hospitality at the bar. Lastly, my only tech frustration was with the Wi-Fi--it wouldn't auto-connect, which was a small but annoying inconvenience.

It's a short drive into town, but you will have to find parking in town, etc. The rooms are quite spacious as there is a separate sitting area with a couch, coffee table and desk, and the room is large enough to have two TVs (but you should be watching the same thing since the areas open up to each other). Breakfast in the lobby can be hectic as everybody is rushing to get out to Arches. I appreciate that they try to mix things up so you don't have the same proteins every day. They also have the standard selections: make-your-own waffles, oatmeal, greek yogurt + toppings, eggs, meat protein, breads (English muffins, bagels, slices of bread), peanut butter, jelly, cereals, etc. The hotel can be a bit loud as the pool closes to kids at 10p but is still open for adults until 11p, and our room faced the pool. Nice fire pit and seating area in the back. There is also barbecue grills. There was plenty of parking at the front and behind the hotel. Breakfast was good, not great. I eat low carb, and most of breakfast is loaded with carbs! The eggs and sausage were good. Wish they had provided salsa and some shredded cheese, but they didn't. They had cream cheese, which was a little bland. They also had butter. The other options are waffles, syrup, cereal, muffins, bagels, yogurt, granola, bread. Drinks: apple juice and a fruit juice, coffee. The biggest issue for us was the road noise at night. In our room we could hear the traffic sounds all night. All kinds of vehicles drove by and were loud. I had a sound machine and ear plugs and had a difficult time sleeping. I'm a light sleeper, so I was up most of the night. Room to room we didn't hear much noise. We could hear the doors closing in the morning starting at 6:30 am. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
