This is a totally solid hotel option for a family looking to spend time at Arches. It has an indoor pool, a lobby with some battered old board games, a hot breakfast with scrambled eggs and make-your-own waffles, free parking, and rooms with kitchenettes. At the same time, it's not, like, a totally awesome hotel option. The buffet is a little uninspiring, and they frequently run out of coffee and you may have to wait ten minutes for it to reappear. The pool is small and crowded. During the course of our stay they had no cots or rollaway beds for our room. They layout of the room was a little odd. The bathroom didn't have a fan, and so the whole room developed a kind of locker-room odor over the course of our four-night stay. Overall, my impression is that this is the kind of hotel where they never give you anything more than the experience you paid for. On the other hand, they don't give you anything LESS than the experience you paid for, and that is nothing to be taken for granted. It's like a Hanes t-shirt. It does the job. read more

Walking distance to many restaurants, coffee shops, bake shops, gift shops, visitor center, and post office. The hotel itself is modern. Furniture are nice with enough draws for four people. The suite has a full size refrigerator, two burners stove top, dishwasher, and microwave. Plenty of plates, cups, glasses, and utensils are available. WiFi is strong. Water pressure is strong. Free breakfast is the usual, not bad. Plenty of free parking slots. Employees are super friendly and helpful. The average cost per night is about $300. read more

We stayed at Homewood Suites in Moab midway through our two-week vacation, mainly for the kitchen and laundry. The room was a good size with a full kitchen and a separate vanity, but the couch and chair were filthy, and the mattress was lumpy. Only one washer and one dryer were working, and even though we returned within the recommended timeframe, another guest had dumped our clean clothes on top of the dryer -- frustrating and unacceptable. Check-in, breakfast, parking, and location were fine, but overall this hotel failed to deliver on the basics. I would not recommend and would not return. read more

Stayed three nights in room 237. We enjoyed our stay I would highly recommend it and would stay here again it looked like it had been newly renovated. Everything that new and clean I liked having a full kitchen full size refrigerator stove microwave. Shower had good water pressure. I thought the bed was pretty comfortable I like the pillow in fact I thought it was more comfortable than my pillow at home. Slept well. We always put a White Noise app on when we're sleeping to kind of drowned out noise helps us get better sleep. Hotel was in a good location close to arches and restaurants Etc. The free breakfast or complimentary was appreciated wish we'd have brought bathing suits to take advantage of the pool and jacuzzi but I don't know if we would have had time anyway. My husband used Hotel reward points to pay for the hotel so that was a nice bonus. I appreciate they offered us a couple bottles of water. There was ample on site parking additional parking underneath but did have a hookup for the hybrid or electric. Parking underneath to your car isn't being baked in the Sun so might want to think of that. Recommend you bring refillable insulated bottles take more water than you think you'll need cuz you're going to need it. Plus I recommend bringing a lot of lotion and ChapStick since it's such a dry area. read more

Stopped in for a quick nights rest on our trip down to Dallas. Pros: room was large. Decorated nicely and beds were comfortable. Morning crew was super nice and allowed a late checkout. Thank you. Cons: 1. No luggage carts. We had tons of stuff to haul up to our room. No luggage carts. Asked the front desk they said they had 7 but none were available.had to ask for water for diamond club but no snacks. 2. The tv in our room turned on at 4am in the morning. Just turned on. There are no remotes so you have to go into the Hilton app to access the in app tv remote. Super weird and annoying though. 3. After checking in, we went to the front desk to get assistance. No front desk person. Other people were waiting trying to purchase lemonade. Nobody showed up. People left with lemonade and we didn't get help. 4. No decaf coffee in the brunch area. Meh oh well got some in the room 5. Breakfast pans were empty. No food. Too long of a wait to get something to eat. Four pans of food completely empty. 6. Room keys including phones didn't work to allow access to rooms. Repeatedly had to swap out for new keys. 7. Checked out around 1pm. Again... no luggage carts. Asked the front desk and they said guests were using them. This is a late check out. Nobody was here. What guests are using them? Front desk, uh... they are being used. Audrey checked us in at 10PM Monday night - late, and she was pleasant and efficient! We were tired from 9 hour trip (bad tire & switching out rental car added 90 min. to our trip & stress) - looking forward to our king bed! It was so comfortable! Our suite was clean and just the right size. The room temperature was also perfect - and we never touched the controls. We had a kitchen (ice in the freezer!), a small living area with sofa, tables, and lamps & a dining area with table & 2 chairs. We had plenty of places to stow our clothes (closet, bureau & 2 side tables). We also had plenty of outlets to charge electronics. The bathroom was divided into two sections - sink (slow moving though) outside the shower (all the way up for hot shower) & toilet with a door. Breakfast was good, with many hot & cold selections. The first morning we enjoyed scrambled eggs with sausage patties & roasted potatoes. I had the decaf coffee (one of four coffees) and mango juice (one of 3 of 4 juices). Husband had just the OJ. On Wednesday morning, Husband had the same breakfast he had yesterday. I had cereal (3 to choose) and a banana (1 of 3 fruits). I had hot chocolate & he had OJ. I booked this hotel for the hot tub and heated inside pool. Unfortunately, both closed at 10, so we couldn't use either the first night. We tried using both the 2nd night, but families were enjoying the pool, and couples relaxed in the hot tub. We did not feel comfortable using either with so many people & Covid variants still around. Parking is complimentary & was not a problem. In addition to spaces behind and to the side of this hotel, there is also underground parking. This parking is easily accessible from the elevator, and you need your room key to make the elevator run. That's good security! We checked out online, which was quick and easy. Great location right in the middle of town, with easy access to all that Moab has to offer. The public areas were clean and professional looking. The free breakfast was very nice. We had expected a social hour at 5-7 PM, as advertised on their website. But, it got cancelled at last minute. We were told social hour wouldn't return until Nov. No big deal. We simply brought down our own take out food and beers and relaxed on their back patio. (Multiple tables, plenty of patio chairs, and 2 fire pits. Cool.) The staff was professional and friendly. There is a pool. But we didn't see anybody use it the whole week. The hot tub section was roped off. Broken I suppose. But, I doubt many people were going to use it anyway. The gym was clean and had just enough weights and equipment for any gym enthusiast. My only complaint is the tile floor in our room was a bit dirty and tacky/sticky. Could've used a mopping. All my white athletic socks become black on the bottom within a half hour of wearing them in the room. (We left our shoes just inside the door, so it wasn't us). We even had a room cleaning midweek. And it was still tacky afterwards. Overall, a very nice place in a very convenient location that allowed us to walk to all restaurants. read more

We had a nice stay at the Homewood during our visit to Moab. Very friendly staff checked us in and our rooms were ready on time. Unfortunately, our rooms faced internally to the hotel and therefore over the roof of entrance/parking area. Rooms were spacious, although the king room is a good bit smaller than a double queen room. Beds were comfortable, as were linens; climate control was good. Breakfast was a bit of a struggle for staff as they ran out of multiple food items and coffee. Coffee was not again available for about 15 min. Nevertheless, good stay and would certainly consider a return, particularly with the great location! read more

This hotel has a lot going for it! The best location to easily access the downtown scene: you're within walking distance to shops, coffee, restaurants, and tour guides. The hotel is very pretty inside and all rooms are suites w/kitchenettes and spacious bathrooms. It's a Hilton property, so beds are super comfy. If you're traveling with a caravan of people & kids (like I witnessed many large groups this trip), you'll appreciate the free bfast spread. Lovely small pool with a nice hot tub that has a fountain falling into it! Laundry facility on site, too, to wash the red mud from your socks! Happy exploring! read more

We booked a room for our stay in Moab. Very nice, clean hotel. We requested an early check in and our room was ready when we arrived at 11:30am! It was perfect so we could drop off our stuff before we went on our adventures. They have a bike locker room which was nice so we didn't have to worry about our bikes all day. I'm staying here for about a week. Today is day three. I am not impressed with this place. It's difficult to get someone to answer the front desk phone when I've had questions. The workout area temperature is kept at 79f degrees and there's no way for me to change the temperature due to a secure cover over the thermostat. The place looks tidy, but it's actually dirty. The breakfast that's offered with the room price is bare minimum and unhealthy. I'm sitting here now typing this review waiting for the front desk lady to come out from the area where breakfast is served. She has been in the back loudly talking to a man about personal stuff for the last 20 minutes. I'm trying to get her to turn the temperature down in the exercise area. I asked 3 different people if they could lower the temperature in the exercise room and they all said yes. I finally asked if the maintenance person could lower the temperature. Moreover, I finally talked to the maintenance man, after the temperature was not lower, and he said he wasn't aware that the temperature needed to be adjusted. The exercise area looks like it hasn't been cleaned for years. Also, the equipment isn't taken care of. The WiFi is very weak, and I keep getting dropped from the connection. I know most of these Hilton hotels are privately owned, which makes it difficult to find a decent place to stay. I'm a diamond member and stay at a lot of Hilton properties. read more

We already paid in full via hotels.com prior to check-in and when we checked out, there was a charge for 2 nights on my cc so I called them right away. The lady at the front desk said they will take care of it and should clear the charge from my account the same day. 3 days later, the charge is still there on my account so I called them again and basically was told the run around bs... do not give them your CC as they do shady stuff behind the scene.. Well designed, extraordinarily well managed, nearly new (opened 9/2016) property might set you back $200 - $300 / night depending on room if paying full rate during 'high season'. We stayed on Hilton points during the season so I'm not sure what was the nightly cost but it would have been worth every penny regardless. During our three days and nights in Moab we ran into visitor after visitor who stayed at other hotel properties and complained about how "had" they felt for lousy accommodations at steep prices. We had only the best things to say about every employee here and the facility as well. Expectations exceeded. STAFF: From making reservations and suggesting the right room location for us, to check in to every contact throughout, the desk staff was top notch. Same with the staff in the breakfast room. This kind of training and motivation don't happen on their own. Kudos to these nice people and the manager who seemed always engaged to make this so. HOTEL LOCATION: On the main street in downtown Moab, this is a convenient location to walk about the town. HOTEL SET UP: Parking is in the back of the building, some of the parking is covered. The lobby has a large breakfast / gathering room that is spacious and comfortable. Free buffet breakfast served daily which was better than one might expect in a small remote town. Mon - Thu there is a "manager's reception" in evening that varies in menu from day to day. (Menu posted on fridge in room.) Most Homewood's serve beer or wine, but this is Utah so you're on your own. You are welcome to bring your own into this area with you and they'll even provide glasses if you need them.. Fenced in patio in the front and covered shaded patio (with tv as I recall) off of parking lot. Indoor pool, workout room, laundry. ROOM SET UPS: Some are two room suites, some are open concept studio suites. We had the latter. In spite of reservations months ahead there were only dual queen rooms available but it worked out great. Very comfy beds. If I could wave a magic wand I'd have them add one 'club chair' to the living area layout which had only a sleeper sofa for seating. Our bathroom was shower only which we MUCH prefer. Rooms are not carpeted but have wood look laminate with a couple of throw rugs. Loved that for keeping things clean of dust and dirt. (Some reviewers on other sites raved about these as wood floors. They do look good. But they are laminate.) There is lock up space for mountain bikes, if you take them, but I noted a number of people were storing them in room given all the space. Each room has a small kitchen with cooktop, full fridge, dishwasher, sink, table and chairs. No ovens. ROOM LOCATIONS: A few rooms that face front have balconies. Ours faced front but didn't have one. Front facing looks out on main street and we loved that. But it will be noisier from traffic, including night time big rigs traveling through, so if you value quiet over outlook, let them know and choose a room looking out onto the parking lot or side street. ACCESSIBILITY: For travelers with mobility disabilities (11% of the population), or their families I'll note this appeared to be one of the most accessible hospitality properties I've seen in a long while. I didn't use an accessible room but noted they had several. Looking about the property all looked right from parking throughout all the public spaces. For travelers with disabilities who don't need grab bars in bathrooms, even the standard rooms may work for you. THIS N THAT: 1) GREAT MARKET NEAR BY: You can walk across the parking lot to a great little natural foods Cooperative market (Moonflower Community CoOp) behind the hotel. All kind of good things here including really delicious take out if you want to pack it with you to the park or nosh in room. 2) PLAN AHEAD TO CHILL :-) : Utah liquor laws prevent selling wine or beer chilled in stores. Including the only state run liquor store in Moab. If you are looking forward to picking up a nice cold six pack of beer or bottle of wine after a long park exploration day, be sure to buy it ahead of time and put it in the fridge in the kitchen in your room. There were a LOT of unhappy people at the Moab liquor and grocery stores to find out they couldn't buy cold beer. read more

Visited a week before Christmas for 6 days. Pretty standard Hilton hotel, nice kitchen for homemade meals, comfy bed, decent shower, etc. they only clean room if requested so request it, otherwise ur on own. I went downstairs to the front desk for towels, to and shampoo and they were very accommodating. Two minor things previous reviews mentioned. The fox tv channel doesn't work in the room and is horrible signal in the lobby. We were trying to watch the World Cup final. Luckily I had my iPad to watch. Also, they run outta towels occasionally at the pool but the room next door has some u can just grab even though it's for mntc only. The hot tub is pretty hot, so that's a plus after long hikes. Breakfast pretty standard Hilton fare, protein choices were not the best( sausage and pork/hot dogs)but waffle maker was decent. Mediocre Scrambled Eggs, hard boiled ones, cereal and yogurt were available. Food never went low on quantities. Location is central to everything and can walk to mostly everywhere. Great a/c. Our room was on the top floor, way in the back. It was definitely quiet, but far from the elevator. I'm confused about one reviewers comment that this hotel is old. It's roughly been open for 4 years and it shows. Also, I don't understand what people expect from a hotel breakfast, but what they offer is acceptable, especially with COVID Restrictions. We were there for 4 nights. Each morning The had some kind of Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich and an egg wrap thingy. Plus, off the top of my head, breads, pastries, yogurt, cereal bars, cereal, juices. Enough to get you going in the morning. However, if you want a full on American breakfast, I'm sure that you can easily find it in town. The hotel is right on Main. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Plenty of covered parking. Our digital key was not working, but it was quickly remedied by picking up keys at the front desk. You do need your key for The elevator to go up as an added safety feature. This was such a great hotel, downtown Moab. The location was ideal as it made the downtown very walkable. You didn't have to go far to be next to shops and restaurants. There was parking on site and even underground (if needed for overflow). We stayed in a larger room with a couch/kitchen which was very spacious for us to spread out and relax in our room. Even with being right downtown, it wasn't too loud and we slept well. The morning breakfast was suitable, with a lot of selections. We didn't take advantage, but there were games you could play in the lobby and even use the basketball court out back. If we're ever in Moab again, we'll definitely stay here again! read more

How to get COVID 101: Stay here! When you are here, go to the overcrowded breakfast buffet at 8-9 am when the vacation crowd sets in. Sit by a filthy table with liquids still on it, and if you ask the very young front desk staff for the tables to be cleaned, expect them to do so with... paper napkins! (Then, when people protested, going out for a spray cleaner). Expect to be snapped back at if asking for refills on the sausages and expect "orange juice" to be 50% MORE watered down than what should be. After a long day hiking, go to the indoor/jacuzzi area where, between 4 and 7 pm., the crowds are back with screaming kids, standing water all over, pool towels "set out" by tables so you can't see if they are clean or dirty, used chewing gum on tables, used band-aids on floors, used wet towels ALL over the floors including one inside the main door with MUD on it, AND more than 11 or 12 people in a relatively small pool, no mask mandate. Since this is Mormon country, women and girls are also allowed to go into the jacuzzis in full dresses! Trash in hallways too, used plungers.... This is the grossest situation we have seen in a long time. They also don't do room cleanings unless you ask them to. DO NOT GO! They are OVERLOADED! Almost worst of it all: if you comment on the new Covid situation and masking expectations, you IMMEDIATELY get cut off with an angry, Republican-canned response showing that they are DEFINITELY not going to even consider doing anything reasonable here or even bring it to the attention of management.
