Seriously horrible experience! The only positive of this place is the friendly staff, otherwise stay far away from this dump. The rooms were dated and only had a couple plugs per room which was incredibly inconvenient. The tv in the "living room" did not work, only the one by the beds. As seen in my images, all 3 towels had something wrong with them (two had sizable stains and the other had a stray hair). The worst thing by far though were the floodlights in the parking lot that blasted light into my room. The picture shows how even the curtains couldn't cover all of the light coming into the room (the picture was taken at 1:30 am!) Absolutely unacceptable! I definitely would never return and recommend all to seriously consider looking elsewhere, unless feeling like it's noon 24 hours a day because of the bright lights is a plus to anyone... read more

We were in the area because this was a good stopping point on the way to Sedalia. We chose this one because they have heated pool and that was a must demand from my daughters. From check in with kind gentleman night shift... So friendly. Only there one night. No housekeeping needed. However breakfast staff was fantastic and friendly as was the housekeeping staff. A lot about this hotel has promise and upside letting me know that I made the right choice of place to stay. Our room had ants ... Sad deal for such a clean hotel ... Email received from the GM. The room was clean and in nice working order. Cool layout and nice amount of space. Breakfast had a nice variety of things to choose from. The breakfast staff worked hard to keep things flowing well. The pool was a big hit for my daughters. We spent a lot of time here. Awesome TV in the pool area. This Hotel might make it to where it would be hard to stay anywhere else! The area is definitely attractive. (Restaurants, shopping ease of getting on the highway) Thank you for being available to experience a successful vacation. I always have my do not disturb sign on the door. Came back from work and housekeeping came in. They only took away my trash and changed my towel I had on the floor. They took my do not disturb sign and dropped it on the floor! The tub doesn't drain fast enough. Coffee is a joke here. Every time I go get a cup, either it's not replenish or coffee grind fills up my cup! The only time I see the front desk is when I'm rushing out to grab a cup of tea or coffee and they never acknowledge that I'm there with a good morning. I just get a stare or they are talking to each other. Breakfast was not that great when I did have the time to grab something before I headed out. They only plus in staying at this hotel is that they share a parking garage with DoubleTree hotel and when it's snowing, I don't have to waste time trying to defrost the car. read more

Staying at Fairfield the past few weeks has been great! As Shelbi mentioned, the hotel is brand new and they carry the national Marriott-branded amenities. That means a fitness center (see attached), free breakfast and coffee, and a good wifi connection- just about all you need during work trips. The staff is friendly, and they've told me plans about getting a few more technological installations in the hotel. A few things not yet up and running: mobile keys, side/rear door access (have to go through the main lobby), or key gym access (the door is just open without the need for a key). Overall, I'd definitely stay here again because there seems to be plenty of restaurants nearby and everyone loves free parking! read more

When we made the reservation as a rewards member I put in writing my request for a high level quiet room, as we had been driving 10 hours. The receptionist gave us a second floor room, I reiterated at check in I want a quiet room. At 9:30 pm we got to listen to running back and forth as the people upstairs used the floor as a trampoline until midnight. We called and explained the situation twice to the hotel desk. The floors are very loud here, and why would the hotel put 8 year old girls coming back from a concert right above me??? Super annoying! Started up again at 7:30 Am as well. read more

OVERNIGHT STAY Very good hotel. The hotel was cleaned, in good condition, and well maintained across the street from a Walmart. The staff was also very friendly. There's ample parking at the hotel, but I parked on the ground floor of an adjacent well-lit parking garage steps from the side door of the hotel that is shared by the Fairfield Inn and the Doubletree Hotels. My 9 yr old twin boys love this hotel so much we drove 3 1/2 hours just to stay here for their birthday. The employees were so kind, especially the maintenance man. The breakfast was delicious and everything was perfect. Great Job! read more

The hotel was filled with kids of all ages for a tournament. The kids were left unsupervised while the parents and adults partied downstairs in the lobby. The kids ran up and down the halls yelling. They literally overtook the entire hotel. They did calm down at around 9:30 but when you pay $233 for a night this is unacceptable. read more

First time staying here at the Fairfield Springfield North. This is a NEW hotel (Feb 2018) and has all the up class qualities and amenities for a great nights stay and is in close walking distance of several restaurants. I was greeted at the front desk by a super nice young lady who help me work out my reservation that somehow the Military had double booked me... all good... Room: Spacious and very clean, I love the coffee bar above the mini frig Bathroom: Absolutely LOVE the upscale shower and vanity I usually stay at the Courtyard closer to the Airport, but I will definitely book this Hotel from now on when I stay before an early flight its only a 15 min drive down I-44 and they have a 24 Hour shuttle to the Springfield airport too!! The only complaint I have is the light on the thermostat... wow was it bright!! That little green light actually woke me up twice in the middle of the night... read more

139 per night with a AARP discount is too high for a room and hotel that is so basic. I like getting Marriot points and the boss paid a bit more tonight. Last time I was down the street at Coachliggt Motel for 89. Anyways this hotel was clean. They require a phone number and drivers license which seems weird to me. I think I recall recently that Marriott was hacked and many people had their personal data stolen. Seems to me it would be better if the individual management company chose to not require it. I think they probably sell the phone numbers to marketers and for the amount they charge.... Cleanliness is Key though and the towels and room appear very clean. Upon further review ..... I have made it a four from Fantastic Shower Head. Taller than my 6'3" head so I do not have to lean back, and strong water pressure! read more

I'm a loyal Marriott member for over 10 years and can say this hotel is fantastic! My family came here for a weekend event and booked a larger suite - 2 queen beds plus sofa couch. The lady checking me in was super friendly. It was spacious, updated decor and clean. Parking outside was easy. Complimentary breakfast was good. There is a Doubletree with Houlihans Restaurant in same parking lot. Walmart across Street in case you forgot anything. read more

I don't give one-star reviews often, but from the second we walked in it was a shit-show. We booked our room on Booking.com. We got there at maybe 5 pm and it didn't seem too busy - no line to check in, plenty of parking available. But, at the front desk, when we told them our name, they kind of got this look on their face and said: "Didn't Booking.com contact you?" Well, apparently, the hotel had overbooked knowing they alotted so many rooms for Booking.com. They told us they didn't have a room for us and Booking.com was supposed to be placing us somewhere else. This didn't go over well and when we argued, they amazingly found a room available. Amazing how that works. Just for some clarity, Booking.com explained this to us: A hotel is alotted so many rooms from hotels. Once they sell out, they are out. The hotel, however, will continue to sell rooms, even those already booked by Booking.com customers. Then, the first customers to get nixed are the ones who used Booking.com to reserve their room. This is a poor, poor way to run a business and we won't be back. read more

Stayed a night here at the Fairfield Inn while on a road trip and had a fantastic experience. The hotel just recently opened up in February and has an awesome modern and clean atmosphere. For $85/night, it was an absolute steal for the quality and amenities provided. Just a couple off the top of my head I appreciated are: -Free Parking -Free Aquafina water bottles for SPG Gold Members -Free Premium high speed WiFi for SPG Gold Members -Free Printing in the Lobby (I had to get some documents for work) -Clean and well maintained gym with Brita filtered water and towels And although I was able to take advantage of all of these in my one night stay, there's also free breakfast in the mornings and a nice indoor pool as well. Overall, for cheaper than its parent company Marriot, this Fairfield Inn in particular (others can not be so great) is well worth its price. As an avid traveler my biggest concern with hotels is always its cleanliness and overall quality/upkeep of the establishment. This Fairfield Inn has been my best stay from the multiple I've been to and absolutely deserves this 5-Star review. read more

Yay for this property being right off the highway. We were tired after being on the road for 11 hours and the fact that this hotel was nice was a very appreciated added benefit. This is a pretty new property so everything was still new and really nice. Our double queen room was spacious enough for my five year old niece to dance in and there was Netflix for her to catch up on her favorite shows. You need a user name and password for the Netflix, so if you have an account this place can really be your home away from home. The bathroom was big, too and everything was clean. The breakfast was probably the best complimentary breakfast at a Fairfield and the employee that manned the stations was super friendly and helpful. I almost felt like I needed to tip her because she was that helpful and pleasant. I don't think I'd ever visit Springfield again, but this is where I'd stay if I come back. read more

Stopped here on a road trip and was very impressed with our stay! Our room was super clean and spacious, everything looked brand new. When I made our reservation I requested a feather free room and they delivered! Next we hit up the pool and while it was pretty small, it was well stocked with toys for the kids. I enjoyed having Paul Mitchell toiletries and the bathroom was sparkling clean. The complimentary breakfast in the morning had lots of options. A nicer stay than I've had at most 4 star hotels. read more

I feel bad for the staff. This hotel if it isn't already has a real future with the CDC and contact tracers looking for the origins of a new Covid variant. Imagine seeing a hundred teens lined up with no masks with their adult sponsors also mask-less inside the lobby with swimsuits on....that sentence in itself seems to violate safe distancing practices. The staff is powerless to do anything unless they want to engage in an argument about "my rights as a...bla...bla." But they were just done w swimming? OK, the next morning they ate breakfast mask-less in effect pissing on any social distancing requirements. I don't care if you wanna clean your gun while listening to Joel Olstein squeeze money out of your wife, put on a mask in public spaces. Speaking of wives, mine has a pre-existing condition as a Cancer survivor. Since Covid she's become paranoid of public places and now she's making my life hell for choosing this place. And what did I pay for this opportunity for potentially damaging my long term health and increasing my betroths paranoia? Just over $200. Yikes. Well what about the room? The room itself was fine but its best quality was being on the first floor near an exit. read more

I don't usually do reviews but this was the cleanest hotel I have stayed at in years. We used two rewards nights to stay in Springfield before going on to Branson. Since we booked our stay with rewards nights, we had to make to separate reservations. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and set it up so that we didn't have to check out and switch rooms. The hotel is nice and new, conveniently located, the staff is friendly, there's a small but nice pool, a guest laundry, and most of all it's very clean. In the past, we have stayed at the Doubletree which is next door. While that hotel is nice, this one is cleaner. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Springfield. read more

Our AC went out, and we needed to stay somewhere over night because our house was too hot to sleep in. I guess some of the hotels in the area are not letting locals stay in their hotels for some reason, so my wife had to give them our sob story, and even then they still were hesitant. They let us stay the night. The rooms were ok. The beds were pretty hard though. The road noise was obnoxious, and I'm surprised they didn't have sound proof glass since this is a newer hotel in the area. I was very disappointed in the whole customer service experience, where we had to almost beg for a room just for the night while we got our AC fixed. Can't say I'd recommend them to visiting family and friends next time, solely on that basis. The rooms seemed clean, the housekeeping staff were earlier than I thought they would be, when they came in just as I was getting dressed after a shower around 10:30 in the morning. I'm an avid Marriott fan and I typically love Fairfield Inns. I stayed at this location last night for business and it's the worst I've ever slept at a Fairfield. I'm sure other rooms would have been better, but room 100 is a complete no go. If you stay here do not choose this room! It is located at the very end of the hall by an exit and....the stairwell! People walking up and down the stairs, dragging luggage was constant all the way until about 1AM when I finally just passed out. The noise from the stairwell was fairly extreme. Anyways...I'll give them another shot next time I'm in town because this is not my typical Fairfield experience and the staff were all very friendly. I'll just avoid room 100 like the plague next time. read more

New hotel right next to the Doubletree. It was easy to find and there are good dining options across the street from the hotel. Our room had a weird smell when we first entered it, but we didn't bother changing since we were there for one night. There was baseball team and a youth group staying that night as well; however, the walls insulated the sound pretty well and we all got a good night sleep. Breakfast is your typical free breakfast, so don't expect fine dining. We will return should we find ourselves in Springfield again. read more

The rooms are clean and new, the gym is sizeable for the size of the hotel (3 treadmills, bike, elliptical, weights, other machines), and the staff is helpful. I was here for work and it checked all of my frequent traveler boxes. Made a reservation at the Fairfield Inn in Springfield Ohio on March 29th 2019 and had to cancel it on Saturday 03/30/2019 due to the fact that the Wittenberg University Baseball game was cancelled due to rain. So I called and talked to Stephanie (at the front desk) and she told me the (Manager, Rob) would call me back. He never did! My card was charged and the charges were not reversed like I was told. I've never given a hotel with plastic cups 5 stars. But this one? Wow. This hotel is so clean you can eat off the floor- any floor! The housekeeping staff was at attention even with a computer glitch. The front desk staff were adorable, friendly and helpful to a fault. The gal in charge of breakfast is hilarious; she is seriously determined to make sure your day is started right. This was my girlfriend and I second stay at this hotel and the cleaning staff and the cooking staff are absolutely amazing. The first stay we had was absolutely wonderful with no problems at all but this time is didn't turn out so good. We had my disabled mother with us so we had to change rooms so she could have a handicap room, when we did that the hotel charged us double the price for the room. Then the next day the charged the card three times and then the last day we where there they charged us for another night. The total that they deducted was double of what the amount was supposed to be and the only answer they had was "we don't know how that happened it's not supposed to do that" that left my girlfriends account with less then $5 and we had to go get a loan just so we could make it back home. Upon them charging the card that much the chargers her card again two days after we've left. We are really saddened by this event since it's such a wonderful hotel. She did call the hotel and they apologized and gave her some of the money back but we didn't get to do all that we would have liked to because we had not money because the hotel deducted all that was in there. read more

This was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever been to .we checked in they require a deposit in cash .even though we paid with our debit card for the Hotel .this morning we get ready to checkout and they say they had no proof we gave a cash deposit and wouldn't give us back our money .pure thieves. To top it all off the rooms were filthy Dog hair all over the doors and bed clothes. And the rooms are temperature control so it was so hot you could not even sleep. This room just open in February and is filthy. If you want to be Robed from sleep in animal hair and suffocate stay here . They know their policy and know we gave a deposit and stole it all I can say is wow what a way to do business and they had other guest there waiting for their deposit and would not give their deposit back also read more
