I am really trying to give Marriott another try. Our last stay in Orlando with Residence Inn was abysmal . This hotel is in Kingsland where we are on vacation. I do want to point out some good things about the hotel . The check in was smooth and my room was upgraded based on my Platinum status with Marriott so that was nice . They have an indoor pool that we used last night and that was relaxing. The hotel is in a good location The other side of this is a little more negative .Our room had an odd odor and the bathroom needs a little fix up. We were not told how to set up wifi so I tried to call from the room and the phone doesnt work, not a big deal, I went downstairs and asked.. The hot tub I specifically came to this hotel for was only slightly warmer than the pool, (another guest was complaing about this and told me it's broken) and the breakfast we specifically came for was not the best because both waffle makers stopped working this morning. A family with children left for Chick Filet because of the limited breakfast . The woman attending the breakfast area was nice and said she felt bad because so many people wanted waffles . Now, The front said it's the outlet, I said switch them to another location you have others with items plugged in. The desk agent said they called somone those are the only outlets they have. I stated that all of the outlets with heating elements plugged in are approved, if not then that's a fire code violation. I really think they could have tried pushing the little button resetting it like I do when my blow dryer wont turn on. That said, i also went to Chick Filet and an additional family behind me . Marriott this is 2 negative experiences for me in 60 days . Please have a back up plan , some instructions for your people on basic issues that they can care for and an on call maintenance person so Saturdays breakfast isn't ruined for all. If you have a hot tub check the temp daily. Staff should report needed room repairs and breakfast is a big filter search for hotel stays. Please make sure its great or one thing like waffles damages your guests stay. read more

Rooms were not clean...lot of body hair, mildew in showers, etc. Tried contacting the hotel directly to address but no response. Also, no one in the lobby when we arrived ...had to wait about five minutes before someone came to the desk. I'm a big Marriott property fan and Gold member -- this place needs some attention. read more

Stopping for the night while driving from Florida to North Carolina, I was happy to find a hotel in such proximity to Cracker Barrel. Okay, I know for those who live in certain parts of the US, that's not necessarily anything that special but it's something I rarely see. The hotel was easy to find and check-in was speedy. The room was clean and comfortable and I can't neglect to mention that, even though it's not adjacent to Cracker Barrel (there are a couple options that fit the bill there), it's Cracker Barrel is still convenient! read more

I visited the Fairfield Inn & Suites to meet up with the remainder of the wedding party on the morning of the wedding ceremony. My fiance was a groomsmen for his line brother. The bride and groom hosted family and friends at Fairfield Inn & Suites, but we waited too late to get the group rate, so we stayed at another hotel to save money. The service from the hotel receptionist was very good. She was really friendly and knowledgeable about the area's naval base. The lobby was very clean and so was the bathroom on the main level. I liked that the table had holiday pictures for the kids to color on in the lobby. This helped me pass time for my toddler, while waiting for everyone to be ready to leave. The decor was also very nice, and the family even took a few pictures in the lobby because of the ambiance. I would most likely try to stay here the next time that I was in the area. read more

I stayed at this Fairfield Inn & Suites for a week long work trip last week. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lobby and breakfast area were clean and recently updated. The room itself was nothing special but clean! I love staying at Marriott properties and plan on returning to this one when I'm in the area again. The only downside is the small fitness room. read more

Service is EXCELLENT here. Beds very comfortable,even though I was nervous about getting a double instead of a queen (which they don't have) but they were still luxurious. Breakfast was to end at 9 but they didn't rush the food away and allowed us to linger. Sometimes you just want to sleep in but the workers are anxious to put away the food and make you feel like a jerk. Here they chatted with me and all the workers seem to smile. Clean, up to date and nice. Definitely a pleasure. read more

I tried to be helpful by reporting problems with the room to the front desk while departing. That the desk lamp was plugged into itself (neither the light nor the electrical outlet in the lamp worked and no room outlet was accessible to correct this) and that the shower curtain rod was about to fall off the wall was accepted. However, that the Wifi was functioning but could not get to the Internet was rejected. I was told that the computer, a Mac something, in the office worked fine. Then that I must have an Android device. I stated that I had tried my Android phone but had also tried my Windows 10 computer and that neither would connect. The solution was that I should have called the desk and they would have given me a connection that would work with my devices. I've stayed in many Fairfield Inns. My devices usually connect automatically or with only a selection of the free choice as they did in the Fairfield Inn I'm at tonight. read more

I think this hotel was pretty good. Of course it is not like a luxurious Hilton, or a Sheraton, but it was a good place to just spend the night. The tv had a fuzzy picture which was annoying but then we figured out how to switch to HD channels so that was nice. Just a weird procedure. The beds were also not too comfortable. I had trouble falling asleep that night because the mattress was hard, and I forgot to bring my fan in from the car, which helps me sleep better. When I got a look at the pool, it was small, and it was cold. The breakfast was decent. Usual fare- some scrambled eggs, waffle, powdery treats, fruit, or yogurt. I think this is probably as ritzy as it gets in Kingsland! read more

The place smells like he**!!! my dad, daughter and I spent the night and it smelled soooo toxic in the lobby, hallways, and rooms. I was honestly ready to flee, and was very very nervous about us breathing the smell all night, especially my 4 year old daughter. We unfortunately had no choice but to stay since we paid $85 and would not be able to get our money back. But I asked the woman at the desk if they had very recently painted all the rooms or if the place was brand new or something but she said that neither was the case. She was as accommodating as possible and allowed us to switch to a room on the second floor since it smelled just a tiny bit less (barely, but still). The windows also barely open to get some fresh air so it was a nightmare. The employees were nice but overall our stay was a terrible experience. I got no sleep whatsoever and would not recommend this hotel to anyone that wants the piece of mind of staying in a NONTOXIC hotel read more

I have stayed at this hotel several times each time has been above satisfactory! My boyfriend is stationed at Kings Bay Base just a few miles away so we stay there for long weekends. The rooms are always clean and the service is always friendly. This most recent time we stayed in a studio on the third floor which I'd highly recommend if you need a little extra space for a more than fair price. Upon our arrival we noticed the air conditioner cover had fallen off. We alerted Brittany (Brittany S i believe i recall her for the gorgeous lashes she had!) at the front desk. Brittany was extremely apologetic and professional. She immediately offered to see if she could switch us to another room but we told her there was no need since a thermostat controlled the room and honestly the room was perfect we just didn't want them thinking we had broken it. We appreciated the consideration and truly deep concern she has but we were unbothered as our room was perfect temperature and a blemish in the decor is not going to effect our time there. We stayed for three days and every day our room was fantastic. The other reviews about breakfast in my opinion are harsh, they had more than most hotels offer since they give you what in my opinion is a large spread. The breakfast is complimentary so truly I don't think anyone has any room to complain for how much they offer. The rooms are very clean and the staff is fantastic. I would also love to compliment how great Brittany was as we had a nightmare of a day with my flight delays that when we arrived our check in process was smooth and her lovely professional demeanor was a breath of fresh hair. This is a fantastic place to stay with a great staff that is without a doubt determined to meet and exceed any expectations. Marriott proving a great experience with a proper price. Thank you for many wonderful weekends and a huge shout out to Brittany for helping make a very stressful weekend a much better one I truly cannot highlight how accommodating she was for us! read more
