This place seems to go downhill each time I stay here. There are some things I like but my "don't…read morelike" list is growing longer. Like: - Full kitchen (sink, stove, fridge, microwave, coffee pot) - Plates, bowls, glassware, silverware - Full size ironing bed and iron - Furniture (sitting area, Queen bed, dresser, etc.) - Cable with HBO - Pool - Laundry facilities - Grill area Dislikes: - My room had an old cigarette smell to it (I had to febreeze my luggage when I got home) - I counted AT LEAST 10 cigarette burn marks throughout the unit - The linoleum was sticky feeling - Everything looked clean until you looked at it harder (food splatters, dirty microwave, etc.) - 27" tube TV (some have LCD's with DVD - alas, neither of my rooms have). - Office hours on the weekend (the most likely time you will probably check in) - Overall 20 year old + look and feel to the rooms and furniture - WIFI - wow! If you're there during the day, you'll have decent connectivity. Come about 5 it begins to slow down and after 8? Non-existent or it looks like you're connected but you'll never be able to actually STAY online! - Complimentary soap but no shampoo - My toilet would make a bubbling sound each morning. I made the mistake of flushing once and it overflowed into the room. Uhhh...don't do that! I stayed here in two separate rooms on two ocassions. A co-worker had my old room and told me he had a mouse hole in his closet wall (boo - I've always wanted a pet, lucky guy). It just feels half-clean and maintained. I'll probably give this place one last try but will DEFINITELY look for other options after that if the experience is the same.

Everything was clean and smelled fresh but there was some hair in the shower drain. Also if you're staying here on business and need wifi you will have issues. I was unable to connect to wifi the entire time we were here even though my phone and PC said I was connected. We had flat screen tv with plenty of Channels and the staff were all very nice and helpful. Loved that you were allowed to use the pool 24 hours. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

The room and bathroom were very spacious and the ceiling was high. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. A continental breakfast was provided every morning. Upstairs, there was an ice machine and Keurig coffee maker which I appreciated as I brought my own K-cups from home. Also, our room had a mini-fridge and freezer combo. This was a plus due to being a gluten-free person and having to bring my own breakfast food and coffee creamer. On Saturday night, a lady named, Shell, performed in The Principal's Office Bar. She was really good and even took requests. My husband and I would definitely stay here again. I do have a few suggestions. Everyday, 4 towels were placed in the bathroom, but only 2 washcloths. I asked twice for 2 more to be put in my room, but that didn't happen. One evening, a sweet bartender grabbed extra washcloths for us. Also, a hand-held sprayer would be nice to have in the shower as the soft water made it hard to remove soap from my body and shampoo and conditioner from my hair. Additionally, the steps on the side of the building near the ramp have metal strips placed on them, and they become very slippery when it rains. When we left one afternoon, it was raining. My husband slipped and fell down the steps. So, maybe a non-slip material could be added to the steps. Lastly, the pool was full of leaves the five days we stayed at the Inn. I never saw anyone do any maintenance to the pool. There were towels out on Saturday for pool use, but none of the other days. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend the Inn to others.

I've always wanted to go there so I wasn't going to let this opportunity get away. So I investigated the VRBO. Rentals instead of a hotel. Guess what? I love this program. For a few bucks more you can get a condo with all the comforts of home. It was a last minute booking and they upgraded us to a two bedroom penthouse unit. A couple of advantages. If you get hungry at night, just go to the kitchen and microwave a snack. Coffee anytime you want it, and if the weather turns bad, you're not trapped in a single room. Just a note, weather was fabulous. We had two balconies to watch the sun rise, or to just have a cup of coffee in the morning. Our building was waterfront so it was a very short walk to the beach. They have a pool also for those who prefer a pool instead. We used both the beach and the pool. The complex is gated so it's pretty secure. They provide beach chairs and umbrellas at no additional cost. There's a supermarket just up the road so we stocked up on food and snacks for the weekend before checking in. Overall it was FABULOUS and we already have plans to go back in the winter. Just for the record I'm really starting to hate snow.. Sorry. I suggest Amelia Island Surf & Racket for your next Florida vacation, you will not regret. Just do me a favor , don't go in February, that's when I'm going and I don't want to lessen my odds of getting that penthouse unit again.

The rooms were quaint, comfortable and clean. Bathroom has a standing shower with local made toiletries. Rate was around $200 with a senior discount. The complimentary southern style breakfast is served from 7A-10A, with a good offering of selections. Staff was friendly and helpful, making the stay easy and relaxing. Free parking for guests in the dedicated parking garage underneath. Amenities: *Rooftop sun deck *Beach access and pool *Adjacent to the Sandbar Restaurant *Mini fridge/microwave/coffee maker. *Mini Mart *Lounge area with coffee/tea station A great place for a quick Island getaway.

We were extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled…read more My husband booked a two-night stay at Seaside Amelia Inn several months in advance. Unfortunately, we completely forgot about the reservation because we never received any confirmation email, reminder email, text message, or phone call before our arrival date. We only discovered the reservation when we received an invoice after the scheduled checkout date. When my husband called, we were told that the last digit of his phone number was missing in their system. He had provided the correct number when making the reservation, and we were told this "happens a lot." We never checked in, never entered the room, never used any hotel facilities, and never parked a vehicle on the property. Despite that, we were initially charged for the entire two-night stay, including parking fees for both days. The hotel eventually agreed to refund 50% of the charges, but we still ended up paying hundreds of dollars for a room we never occupied. What disappointed us most was the lack of communication before the reservation and the lack of flexibility afterward. A simple confirmation email or reminder could have prevented this entire situation. We're sharing our experience so future guests know to double-check their reservations and not assume the hotel will contact them before arrival. We also repeatedly emailed management in an attempt to resolve the matter but did not receive a response.

When you book on their website, it clearly states what's included in your stay with your room. A few things listed are: breakfast, beach chairs/umbrellas, towels. HOWEVER, when I went to checkout and pay online, there is an 'AMENITY' fee! They describe this as a fee for the beach chairs and towels, etc. Please don't tell me it's included with the rental of my room, and then charge me for it at checkout. It now becomes NOT INCLUDED and I am in fact paying for it extra! I was really going between the 3 star review & the 4. I do not appreciate being deceived. I had spent a lot of time looking at where we wanted to stay, so at that point, I just went through with it and paid. Also, the only other confusing thing, is that I thought they had provided bfast there. They do have coffee (really good coffee btw). They also had pastries at bfast that they get from a local bakery. My husband had an apple danish type thing and he really enjoyed it. But they offer us a $30 voucher to one of two places in town for bfast. We chose the garden cafe. It was good. But of course you spend more than the $30 for basic bfast, oj & coffee. Would I go back? Most likely yes. Would I recommend to family & friends? Yes

The service here is wonderful! Employees here are amazing and super friendly. we also enjoyed eating breakfast here. Also, the beach is just few steps away! that was one of the reason why I choose Elizabeth Lodge. Unfortunately, I am not able to say anything about the rooms on the main lodge since we did not stay there but booking the tradewinds is highly recommend.

Staff was open and friendly. Few notes: my room was missing a bed skirt. All the other rooms had one. Small thing really. Post cards and mugs were out of stock for sale. Prefer more house made items for breakfast. Fresh juice, one baked good, etc. Property has 2 porches and ver little yard or outside sitting options. Would have loved to play a local with the rocking chairs on the front porch rather the side. Again. Preference. Would stay here again.
