Huge fire caused us to evacuate our home.... so I ended up calling this RV park and they told us they had room for people that were evacuated. Not fun having to pick and choose what valuables you want to save in case your home is burned down, but we did it and we are all safe....including the bird and dog. This RV park is letting everyone who has been evacuated stay for free. They also have an animal shelter set up here for horses and other animals. It's a chaotic and crazy time, but thanks to people like this that make life just a little better. read more

The park is mostly full timers, but they were all friendly. It is off the beaten path some and pretty peaceful. I'm sure when there's a horse race it's not as it's on the road to the track. Cable came with the hook up. read more

We live there for 5 years.And I could tell you some stories.Ben and Michelle are aweful.I couldn't tell you how many times I got reemed out for crap.Ben one day yelled at me claiming I yelled at his wife.Which I didn't even know her.Paying 400 for a dirt lot,no pool or amenities is not worth a headache.And remember it's there lot.They dislike any lawn art,plants ect.You be better at Distant Drum in Campe Verde. read more

Ok place. No bath house no showers we seldom use our rv shower. Wife went to office to notify we were expecting a glass repairman She got to the office just as they were locking up. They didn't have the courtesy to open and ask what she needed. I understand going to the office store to shop or whatever as they close but all she wanted yo do was inform them about our repair man Need to get approval if rig is over 10 yrs old but there are pieces of junk occupying sites here so I don't get it Place is pretty level full hookups and Passport America accepted. read more

This place was terrible. No shade of any sort, no grass, just dirt & large gravel that is hard to walk on. There is no wifi (how is that even possible at the prices they are charging?!). And there were no amenities to make it worthwhile-no pool or anything enjoyable. There is no pet friendly area. There aren't even tables at the sites. It was truly a horrid place. Only stay here maybe if you're just spending the night & need a place to sleep for the night. read more

Just a quick overnight stop for us on our way through Jerome up the Antelope Canyon. Area was very well maintained. Peaceful and quiet place. Not much surrounding it at all but I'm sure during fair season it gets quite busy and loud. There are hook ups for water and electricity as well as dumps for your waste. Great place to get away from it all but still be close enough to be able to do and see things nature wise. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had in my 40 years of living in rental properties. It is literally like you are living on a pile of rocks. There are no trees, there are no amenities and I just can't say how miserable I was staying there. If I could give a zero star I would!!!!! Called this place 6 times to see if they had sites. Left a message the first time. Never answered their phone once!!!! From 9:00 am until 3:30pm. No return phone call either!!!! Customer service....zero!!!! I understand if you are full, call someone back and let them know!!!! Will NEVER call there again!!!! If they go out of business....guess that's karma!!!!! I'm guessing the campground is on the same par as their front desk service... read more

Place was clean and quiet but had some rules such as, the drain pipe off the ground at all times. Sites were large and level but the water and dump were at the back of the site which made hook up hard. No showers or bathrooms and the "rec room"was nothing but tables and chairs. Most rigs were long term rentals. Really far from town! read more

If you want good customer service, find somewhere else to stay. The office hours are so limited during the day, it is hard to find someone around when needed. No one is in the office during the evening hours or on the weekend. So, if you need propane, good luck. I had to unhook my RV and go to the nearest gas station to refill. Many times I would try to call the office during the day with no answer. I went in advance to fill out the paperwork and choose a space for my long stay. All the paperwork was taken care of...or so I thought. When I arrived I was given a different spot (and not one I wanted), with no good reason as to why I was moved. If they don't like you, you will know. I witnessed someone staying there receive a verbal assault that was unwarranted from the supposed manager of the place. There is hardly any shade and no real amenities. During racing season, the cars are active until late on Saturday night, and you hear it loud and clear in your camper. Everything (grocery store, eating establishments, etc.) are about 15 minutes away. Take your money and stay somewhere else. read more

We stayed here for a month. The gravel sites are roomy; the roads are paved. We had no trouble leveling the RV. There's a very nice patio, but no table or fire ring, and no shade. The laundry room and activity room are large and very clean. Washers are $1.75 and dryers are $1.50. There's a book exchange and jigsaw puzzles. The people in the office and throughout the park are very friendly. We would stay here again. read more

The campground isn't bad. It's clean, the sites are very wide, it's quite, and it's in a great location. That being said, it's definitely a no frills kinda place. Just a place to park your rig and go explore the area. I don't use campground showers/restrooms and I bring my own WiFi, so I can't comment on that. I think it's weird and inconvenient that the front office isn't open on the weekends. Not even abbreviated hours. I don't think I've ever seen that before in a campground. They really should have a book online option with the hours that they want to work. My biggest complaint is the lady at the front desk. She's not very customer service oriented. She can be very nice, but will get rude in a split second for no real reason. We seriously asked her one clarifying question during check in and she kinda snapped at us like we were misbehaving children. So I'm not sure what her problem is. read more

There is certainly not much to choose from in the Prescott area as far as Rv parks. My husband and I are full-timing now so we are becoming more selective. We have stayed at Fairgrounds several times in the past few years and have always enjoyed it. However, upon arriving this year we were somewhat disappointed. By phone we were told we would be in one site and upon arrival were moved into one less desirable. The park has changed quite a bit and seems to now have many more "residents" than in the past. Lots of rules concerning number of vehicles, age of rv, etc....all of which are not enforced. Price of $390.00/mo. plus electric seems a bit high since there are zero amenities....no pool, no restrooms or showers, no wifi except in the laundry building, no picnic table, etc. Think we will stay in Camp Verde in the future. Forgot to mention the dog run simply because there is not one....not even a fenced gravel area to let your dog off leash. read more
