Sewer cover most RV parks sewer covers are flush or inverted to make an easier connection.

I live in a 3 Star Luxury RV Park in Las Vegas NV, we have outside seating and cooking area with a clubhouse. Whistlestop needs to remove luxury from their name. They advertise Wi-Fi but only in the office not at your site that's not luxury. They have a BBQ restaurant on site we got it to go. I felt like I was in junior high going on a field trip eating out a box lunch not luxury. The pictures below kneeling on stones in hot weather isn't comfortable and trying to hook up you pressure gauge and water filter underground wasn't enjoyable this isn't luxury. I couldn't hook up to sewerage due to the fact the connection was raise but the threads were to deep in the ground this isn't luxury. The dog park was an easy to get in and out but you are being monitored on camera. 80%or more are long time residents with all types of campers and motorhomes. Be aware to make entry to the rv park is deceiving and could cost you a ticket. I wish I could only give a half a star. They suggested a place to eat up the street it was horrible, the steakhouse around they think they are in Las Vegas, Reno LA with the high prices they charge.

I am very neutral, but we have had some issues. Don't get me wrong there are some positives, but there is room for improvement. When we first called in that we were doing long term stay they said we would pay a lesser amount due to a "running deal". They booked us, and said once we got here we would get a "bogo deal" Once we got here apparently the person we spoke to no longer worked there, and they could not honor the discount. These managers are no longer there. We didn't make a big deal out of it, and just paid whatever we needed to. We are a family, and the one thing I liked about this place was they have a "family area" so anyone who came in with children parked in the back. It's a great concept except there are a few people who aren't "family". When we asked to move to the front or different spot they denied it as it wasn't part of the family spots. We understood, and again stayed steady. I personally feel like if they are going to be strict on separating the family area from non family areas they should adjust it accordingly. The front office/gathering area has been clean, and also has clean bathrooms. We appreciate that greatly. They have two dog parks if you have dogs. There is a recent written pool sign I do not appreciate. It says children from 9am-2pm. Most families work and this doesn't seem to be a reasonable time in my opinion. If they are allowing families to stay on property this doesn't seem fair. These are their rules, and we do respect the times. Again there is room for improvement, and it is not all bad. I just wished they were a bit more family friendly. We were warned when we first came this was meant to be a 55+ community. The new managers seem friendly aside from "eyeballing" that one time my husband drove "fast". Which he wasn't especially since we have a child and know there are dogs, children, and elderly people. We are big rule followers especially with our type of backgrounds.

Telling me they will transfer my credit to my parent on hospice because I am not 55.

Ask the Community - Whistlestop Luxury Rv Park

Hello, We are looking to out to AZ from GA. Do you offer long term camping and if so how much would it be?

Yes we do. Please call us at 480-600-1368 for more details

Hello, I noticed on your site the pool is heated, but it also says closed at times. We snowbird and enjoy the heated pools in Phoenix that are 85+. We like others like to start back north in Feb, have you changed the times the pool is open & heated?

Our pool is open from April through October weather permitting

When did this park open? Is it difficult to get reservations for a 4 to 5 month timeframe in November through April?…

It opened may of 2023. We have a beautiful clubhouse available for activities. And we can certainly get you a reservation booked for that timeframe. As far as a senior center there are many in the area

I've stayed in Vanderpool, Bluebird, Verner, and Fiesta. They've always had clean, warm beds and clean bathrooms. We have most of our it leadership activities in Tabernacle and A-Frame. We also use the Leisure House and the amphitheater. A few years ago we started using Tab East and Tab West. My primary job is AV. They upgraded their sound system in both Tabernacle and A-frame from last year and it is pretty awesome! They also had one wireless hand held mic and a lavelier mic for me to use. I brought in 6 of our own wireless hand held mics to plug into their system. Their video projector and mixer boards in Tabernacle, Tab West, Tab East and A-frame were wonderful. It's so nice when the tech works!! As always, confidence course (high ropes) are always a big hit for our campers! Challenge course (low ropes) is also a camper favorite. We also do bonfire on our last night of camp and the only down side to that is the 930pm sound ordinance. So over the years we have converted to playing acoustic music. I would give this camp 5 stars, but this past year, the new owners of the camp actually yelled at our RYLA chair in front of everyone, including the campers (who are high school students and are impressionable). It was bad taste, rude, and unnecessary. Also, they stopped providing dietary options for those who are gluten free. They only offer vegetarian as an alternative option. So we had adult volunteers who used their own money to make gluten-free and vegetarian options for our campers.

The property has small rocks throughout property but they did not allow a wood fire :( it was soooo cold! But we understand. There is a small gold course at the entrance of the park. It was fun playing it at night. The owner added lights specifically for the golf course and a little fountain. The attention to detail was there. There is a small dog park that is gated but meant for big dogs. Small dogs will walk right through the posts. We stayed here for a night and when we went to turn on our diesel bus, it wouldn't turn on. We eventually found out our gas filter froze overnight due to the elevation probably because we've stayed in colder places. So if you're staying here bring extra fuel help. We had added additive to help it from gelling but wasn't enough. Make sure to bring 911 something to help start it. We're definitely buy it. Owner very helpful and answered even tho New Year's Day.

I made reservations here at Rain Spirit RV about a month ago, planning for 2 days and 3 nights. We saw Sedona, took a tour, did some exploring, and a great train ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad, but ran out of time to see Jerome...so we inquired about extending our stay one more night. Gary, the owner, was very accommodating! The park itself is super cute, quiet, and extremely clean. We booked a pull-through site which is really easy access...We brought a second car that fits easily in the same site, too, and at no additional charge! The whole park is well maintained. There's a nice pool and jacuzzi, and private bath house with showers. Nights were dark, and we could see the stars, something we have trouble seeing in Vegas..park was extremely quiet no traffic noise!! We really had a great experience here, and would love to return soon!

To be fair, the park has several positive attributes. The grounds are clean, the facilities are generally well maintained, and the location provides convenient access to Clarkdale, Cottonwood, Jerome, and Sedona. Unfortunately, those positives were overshadowed by what I found to be an exceptionally poor customer service experience. The resort has approximately 68 sites. During much of our stay, occupancy appeared to be very low. At one point, there were only about 10 RVs in the park. My wife parked her car in a shaded, vacant site near our RV because there were dozens of empty spaces available and no impact whatsoever on other guests. Rather than a friendly conversation, I received the following email directly from the owners: "Please do not park or set up camp at other empty spots. We don't want our other guests to get the impression that the empty spots are open to all for use or park at." The second incident was even more disappointing. We had booked and paid for a full month. After spending two weeks in a largely empty long-term area, we noticed that a shaded site across the street remained vacant. Because Arizona temperatures were rising, we politely asked whether we could move to Site 26. The response from the owners was: "Guests moving from site to site is not in our vision of how we want our park to run." The issue was not that the answer was "no." The issue was the complete absence of any effort to accommodate a reasonable request from a long-term guest. The site was vacant. The park was far from full. No other guest would have been affected. Ultimately, the customer service experience became so frustrating that we decided to relocate our Airstream to another RV park before completing our planned stay. What happened next was perhaps the most telling part of the entire experience. There was no inquiry as to why we were leaving, no appreciation for our business after a month-long stay, and no effort to understand our concerns. Instead, the first and only communication I received was an invoice for our electricity usage. These communications came directly from the owners, which makes it difficult to dismiss the experience as the actions of a single employee. Hospitality is not measured by how many rules a business has. It is measured by how guests are treated. The park may be clean and well located, but I left feeling more managed than welcomed. For that reason, I would not stay at Rain Spirit RV Resort again and cannot recommend it to travelers who value hospitality, flexibility, and customer-focused service.
