The park is clean and quiet, considering it's not that far off the main highway--unless you're staying in the back area. I personally had no issues with the park itself. However, we did find it odd that they are closed on Sundays. As for fellow guests, I have to say I was disappointed with a trailer that pulled in two days after we arrived. It's a nice rig with a patio on the back, but the owner has a large dog that she leaves unattended for hours at a time. The dog barks continuously during those periods. I also observed her letting the dog out without a leash to wander on its own. I understand that we can't choose our neighbors, but this didn't detract from an otherwise pleasant stay. Chriatine. You're absolutely right: the resort itself shouldn't be judged by the actions of other guests, especially when our overall experience was positive. Increasing the star rating reflects our stay, not someone else's behavior. Park did not return deposite after we left after living there a year. We left our site in good condition and have been trying for a month to get our money back. Sent a letter to Alex the owner and no response Other people have told me they have not recieved their deposits. Not sure of the parks reasoning. read more

We were heading to Prescott, AZ and found the Whistlestop RV Park on Campendum. It showed a $28 one night fee. WRONG. Try $74 for one night. We asked why and were told it works out to $28 a day with our monthly rate. A little false advertising to me. Also says the have a pool and hot tub but there not available from October thru March. The story was the County would only allow 6 months of operation. Sounded fishy to me. Operation fees and County permit fees are probably higher for a year around operation. We asked about a reduced rate but got a big NO. They say Luxury RV Park but that is BS also. The only luxury provided is the pool and hot tub and paved access roads, otherwise there's nothing. Not even concrete pad or picnic tables at the spaces. The only thing luxury about this park is the price they are charging. Also your out in Prescott Valley with no trees and little to no landscaping in this park. We moved into a park in Prescott and are paying only $45 / night. read more

I live in a 3 Star Luxury RV Park in Las Vegas NV, we have outside seating and cooking area with a clubhouse. Whistlestop needs to remove luxury from their name. They advertise Wi-Fi but only in the office not at your site that's not luxury. They have a BBQ restaurant on site we got it to go. I felt like I was in junior high going on a field trip eating out a box lunch not luxury. The pictures below kneeling on stones in hot weather isn't comfortable and trying to hook up you pressure gauge and water filter underground wasn't enjoyable this isn't luxury. I couldn't hook up to sewerage due to the fact the connection was raise but the threads were to deep in the ground this isn't luxury. The dog park was an easy to get in and out but you are being monitored on camera. 80%or more are long time residents with all types of campers and motorhomes. Be aware to make entry to the rv park is deceiving and could cost you a ticket. I wish I could only give a half a star. They suggested a place to eat up the street it was horrible, the steakhouse around they think they are in Las Vegas, Reno LA with the high prices they charge. read more

I spoke to the owner who was one of the rudest people ever. I wanted a one month stay and a letter of receipt not a handwritten letter to show my mortgage lender so I could close on my house in March. Apparently rude is the name of this place . Writing this letter of receipt on a computer seemed to be not "protecting " the Rv park. Maybe it's me but doesn't make sense since I am staying there and this is how I want my receipt!! I am very neutral, but we have had some issues. Don't get me wrong there are some positives, but there is room for improvement. When we first called in that we were doing long term stay they said we would pay a lesser amount due to a "running deal". They booked us, and said once we got here we would get a "bogo deal" Once we got here apparently the person we spoke to no longer worked there, and they could not honor the discount. These managers are no longer there. We didn't make a big deal out of it, and just paid whatever we needed to. We are a family, and the one thing I liked about this place was they have a "family area" so anyone who came in with children parked in the back. It's a great concept except there are a few people who aren't "family". When we asked to move to the front or different spot they denied it as it wasn't part of the family spots. We understood, and again stayed steady. I personally feel like if they are going to be strict on separating the family area from non family areas they should adjust it accordingly. The front office/gathering area has been clean, and also has clean bathrooms. We appreciate that greatly. They have two dog parks if you have dogs. There is a recent written pool sign I do not appreciate. It says children from 9am-2pm. Most families work and this doesn't seem to be a reasonable time in my opinion. If they are allowing families to stay on property this doesn't seem fair. These are their rules, and we do respect the times. Again there is room for improvement, and it is not all bad. I just wished they were a bit more family friendly. We were warned when we first came this was meant to be a 55+ community. The new managers seem friendly aside from "eyeballing" that one time my husband drove "fast". Which he wasn't especially since we have a child and know there are dogs, children, and elderly people. Stayed here for a night as we were passing through Dewey. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Site was spacious. Bathroom was clean. Fenced in dog area was just enough to let our dogs off leash to do their business. The clubhouse also had coffee and snacks for us to enjoy! I had a family emergency and my parent who was supposed to accompany me was the person over 55 has been placed on hospice and will not make it. I advised to Tina and Alex I booked the reservation for me to come with my parent they had a medical emergency and will be passing. They advised me with no regard to my situation their no refund policy stands firm and since I booked the reservation and am not 55 they will transfer the camp credit to my parent. ARE YOU SERIOUS ALEX??? You guys are so hard up for money you are telling me you are going to transfer my camp credit to parent who will be dead? I believe in transparency and since this is a 55 and over park, please don't stay here. If you have a reservation and your loved one passes away and you can't go you only will get a response to include "that's not my problem, camp credit only." Also, I think Alex and Tina are managers / owners but they makeup there being "owners" since they are running a horrible business, have no heart for their customers, even in death. This place is very clean! Laundry facilities are clean and charge reasonable prices. The clubhouse is beautiful along with the patio. You'll meet Cameron, Carrie and Peggy and they are all so incredibly nice. You'll see Cameron and Carrie patrolling the grounds on a regular basis and at all hours. Today, I saw them at 5:50am! It's not the place for parties or rowdy behavior; they won't tolerate it. There are a lot of working professionals at this park. You'll feel safe here. I highly recommend. read more

We found this place while heading to another spot in Prescott Valley and upon arriving to the other park and finding they did not have 50amp service I called AZ Whistlestop (after hours on a Sunday) they answered their phone and booked me a spot instantly! This is a NEW park with GREAT employees! They are a family owned Small Business just getting up and started! (Office manager told me the back-story) I have stayed at MANY parks and this one was on par with some of the best, minus million dollar views which they don't have but they have nicely paved roads, pool, hot tub, LARGE club house, friendly staff (park managers and office manager) and they have plans to improve as they can afford. I love and support what they are doing and anyone who has started a business knows it takes time to get to the end goal. In 5-10 years the new trees will be larger and full of shade. A great saying I heard is "The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. If you didn't plant a tree then, plant one today!" We plan on visiting this park every summer for a weeks get away. I am not related to nor do I know the owners, I am just a fellow small business owner who knows the struggles of getting your dream up and going! And this park is doing GREAT!!! They do not and create new rules on the spot for those they do not see eye to eye with. The Park managers are not the owners they refer to the owners whenever there is something they do not wish to handle. Not sure if these owners actually exist. we requested use in the rec room under the guys of equal use. For a Bible study that would be offered to all who are staying in Whistlestop and inviting those who live in the area to join absolutely denied. But on the other hand people that wish to host, yoga, game nights, other types of activities and gatherings that are not conservative in nature were welcome. I personally don't believe that a swimming pool, hot tub, and a rec room justifies the monthly rate which they demand had I known many of these things I would not have created a home environment and a place that is not welcoming to me, my family, our church ministry, and those who come to visit at our site Again, I can't respond enough. Stayed there in July 2023. They advertise and market themselves as an "luxury resort" but it is far from many other luxury resorts we have stayed at. The only thing in line with a luxury resort is a pool. Other luxury resorts we have stayed at included 1) Pet run areas 2) Additional bathroom and shower facilities spread throughout the park. 3) Tables adjacent to RV parking spot. 4) Spas to book appointments 5) pickelball/tennis courts 6) Shop to purchase ice, water, wine, things you forgot. This place has none of these. What we got was a nice wide gravel spot WiFi and a pool. Nothing more nothing less. We did see a crew installing cable tv. But it was not available to us. This place is good for just a basic RV park but not for a "Luxury Resort". The price we paid was high but average for an RV resort with amenities but too high for this RV park facility. Manage your expectations and it is good. If your looking for a luxury resort seek other places. read more
