Pro shop quite kind…read more Had a little trouble finding our way as it was the first time on this particular course asked several of the workers and they were more than happy to direct us to the next tea and explain some of the nuances of the course. Which is way more than you find at most places. Usually you're lucky if you find a finger pointing in the direction you need to go & a grunt. Here they happily tell you and smile as well.

Lucy was wonderful when I called for a tee time making sure I understood they only take cash but did have an ATM onsite if I need it. When I showed up Lucy explained how to find the first tee box and that tee box of hole nine would be a shot over the road. Lucy's friendliness and willingness to help is service I've only seen at a high-end course. I would definitely recommend!

Its never busy but I don't golf in the afternoon or on the weekends. Plus the place is 20 miles past where Jesus lost his sandals, so it works for me . 18 holes, decently maintained, priced well, not overly crowded. Clubhouse people are nice. Cons: yardages are not marked, they have signs which should get you to the next hall but sometimes they're extremely confusing. Like I'm still confused on which green I'm hitting to when I'm going to the 9th and the 18th. You think after playing enough rounds I would figure it out , but it's just not marked, so dumbass Me can't figure that out.

The three of us played today and I was impressed on how well the whole course was maintained. The greens, fairways and tee boxes were better than most courses in the area. It would have been nice if they had more selections to eat at the turn but the course gets high marks from me and it was nice to see people actually working on the upkeep of the course. The staff behind the counter in the pro shop were also pleasant.

Ended up getting a lesson today from Aaron Theobald at the Golf Learning Center…read more Let me just say that before this lesson, I could hit maybe two balls in the air out of an entire bucket. I cracked my driver as well. After the 30 minute lesson, I could drive 90% of the balls about 200 yards. Side note: after we left the Golf Learning Center, we went to the Den to practice more. I hit 250 yards out there. I can't wait to see what I can do when I really get the form down. WHAT?!?!?!? Aaron is miracle worker. For real. I highly recommend him for anyone starting out or anyone who is struggling with golf. It is really exciting to go from crazy frustrated to confident and excited in 30 minutes. Buddy & I were hot to golf today. Everybody was busy…read more Called even though I knew they had a late morning outage scheduled for a fairly big group. Talked to Nate who had extreme kindness and said he would fit us in. We showed up a half hour earlier than scheduled hoping since we were there, we could get our round in , without disrupting the big group whose outing was scheduled. Like I said Nate is a great guy and coordinated with us and make sure there were no problems. We got to finish our round and didnt interfere with the big group coming in. I was so happy we got 18 in, I made sure our cart was super clean upon exiting. Nate is a gr8 guy. Oak Ridge is lucky to have a guy whose so good at customer service. Very pleasant and accommodating gentleman. Ive golfed there before and the course is well maintained, workers are pleasant, and friendly, had lunch there, food and bar service was great! Prices very reasonable. Love this place!

I was able to play the entire 18 and only lost a handful of balls, which is a major accomplishment for me! If you like golf and you live close to here you can't go wrong. My only complaint is that they didn't sell golf shirts. I was in the mood to buy a "Mendota Golf Club" shirt!
