This place is not luxurious at all. Trash man rarely comes and if he does he doesn't take all the trash even though it says you can put another bag on top. Tried to go to the pool got yelled at by one of the office employees. Place is way too expensive for it to not have everything working, utilities are very high by the end of the month. I wish I could give Fairlane Meadow Apartments zero stars because that's exactly what they deserve. My experience with them was a complete nightmare from start to finish, and they scammed me out of $80! First, they charged me an $80 application fee, which they refused to refund after rejecting my application for absurd reasons. On top of that, they slapped on an additional $180 "administration" fee, bringing the total to $260! Not only did they waste my time, but they took my money and gave nothing in return. They didn't provide any valid reason for rejecting my application, just threw in arbitrary excuses and made me jump through unnecessary hoops that were never mentioned upfront. They hid behind unclear requirements and used them to disqualify me while pocketing my hard-earned money. Camille Broadus, the leasing consultant, was extremely unprofessional throughout the process. After I uploaded all the required documents during my application, she kept coming back asking for more documents that were never mentioned at the beginning. She flat-out refused to accept the payment ledger I provided from my resident portal, insisting on a certified version from the leasing office of my current residence--something that wasn't even stated in their initial requirements! But the most shocking part? Camille actually asked me to forward my private email chain with my employer for "employment verification." Are you kidding me? How invasive and inappropriate! Any professional leasing office would contact the employer directly for verification, but instead, she demanded confidential emails between me and my workplace. This is a massive violation of privacy, and no professional establishment should be asking for something like this. It really made me question the ethical standards of Fairlane Meadow Apartments. To make matters worse, despite the outrageous amount of money they charged me for the application, they didn't even bother to contact my current leasing office for verification. Instead, they made me go through the trouble of having my payment records certified and sent back to them. What's the point of charging these insane fees if they're not going to do the legwork themselves? It feels like they're just grabbing money from applicants and then looking for any excuse to reject them so they can keep the fees. The whole experience was shady from start to finish. Fairlane Meadow Apartments and Camille Broadus seem to deliberately make the process difficult and complicated to discourage applicants, while happily keeping your money. If this is how they treat potential tenants, I can't even imagine how poorly they treat actual residents once you're trapped in a lease. The complete lack of trust, professionalism, and transparency makes it clear that they have no interest in treating people fairly. It honestly feels like a scam designed to take advantage of people. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from Fairlane Meadow Apartments. They'll take your money, waste your time, and turn the application process into a complete nightmare. I've lived here for a year now, and I wouldn't rent here again. Buyer beware, you will be paying $75 in mandatory hidden fees PER MONTH once you move in, not including utilities. Ask them about Luxor package room fee ($5), Valet trash services that rarely even comes around ($25), pest control fee ($5), Admin fee ($5), and water reimbursement fee ($35) all of which you will pay monthly whether or not you use these services. They have the audacity to raise these fees annually too. Utilities are also expensive as the apartments are very poorly insulated. Management will raise your rent and are not willing to negotiate at all (which is why they currently have so many empty apartments). The walls are not sound proof in the slightest, you will hear every movement and pinprick form your neighbors. Maintenance is very inexperienced, they provide temporary or otherwise poor solutions to problems. They are responsive, though, to be fair. Management sucks at communicating. They notified us that an Xfinity contractor would be entering our apartments during a specific time to perform maintenance on the internet ports. The contractor came in at a completely different time a week later and without permission, destroying my laptop charger in the process. When I notified management, they just shrugged and offered a superficial apology. Within the last year, my apartment has also flooded (which they offered a $150 concession for damages in all fairness). The front gates are always being rammed by people so are never actually functional. Overall, poor experience and I would not live here again. read more

I'm currently a tenant at a townhouse here which I pay $1800 a month for and am very disappointed at the amount of rats that are infested all over the property grounds here. I have multiple videos on my cell phone of LARGE rats crawling all over the outsides of the apartments and the dumpsters not to mention the dead rats in the drive way that was ran over by cars that do not get picked up. It's truly disgusting and I highly suggest no one lives here unless you really like rats. There was also a possum that chased after my dog in the middle of the night so lots of rodents. On top of the rat infestation I repeatedly told the leasing office maintenance was not allowed to enter my building without calling me first. This request was completely ignored and the entered my apartment without permission scaring my dog and also locking me out of my townhouse. They also will not let you out of your lease without a 60 day notice and paying the remainder of your lease in full. Since they will not let me out of the lease i will post the videos of the rats so please stay tuned for that. This place is beautiful, new, well equipped , BUT, it has terrible insulation between apartments. I can hear my neighbors phone vibration at night! Every other day my upper neighbor wakes me up at 12 AM just by walking on the apartment over me, and there's nothing really to do about it! I find the resident community impersonal and disengaging. Upstairs neighbors are noisy at night. My apartment had paint spatters all over the floor from repainting before I moved in, and workers did not clean up after themselves. My apartment has poor insulation; there was a draft all winter from the doors. The refrigerator compressor is noisy. The rent is too high for my needs and I will not renew my lease. read more

This place is beautiful. BUT, it has terrible insulation between apartments. I can hear my neighbors talking.Especially upstairs neighbor kitchen is right above my bedroom. Every other day(especially Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) my upper neighbor wakes me up at 12 AM just by walking on the apartment over me, they cook at night they use garbage disposal dishwasher, running tap water makes sound all the way in my bedroom wall where I am sleeping. and there's nothing really to do about it! Because when I ask apartment management they say that they can't control people to not to use appliances at certain hours. I have herd from my friends and family experience they shared from other apartment community and they have 10 pm to 6 am not to use appliances which disturbs neighbors at midnight. Upon asking apartment management to have a talk with neighbor keeping apartment management in between, they won't allow that either. Hence, I decided to talk directly to them and upon talking with them, they say that shall they crawl in their apartment to avoid disturbance to you? that's such a insulting and immature talk. Such a terrible place to live. Also apartment management never don't welcome with smile lately (last 2 years) prior to 2 years it was very nice management and warm welcoming whenever we use to visit the apartment office. I lived in this complex for a year in a one bedroom, non renovated apartment. The rent was very expensive considering the age and condition of our appliances and the small size of the apartment. Apartment utilities and car/renter's insurance for this area are several hundred dollars higher than living in surrounding cities. The worst thing about the apartment was the SMELL. The smell of everything that our neighbors cooked filled our apartment and stunk, and twice a day they would burn incense sticks outside our door. Nothing we did to clean our apartment could prevent everything we owned from smelling like our neighbor's dinner. The walls are thin, and we could hear every argument they had and every tv show they watched. The reason I am leaving a one star review for Fairlane is based on our numerous interactions with the leasing office and staff. Turnover is high, but everyone seemed dishonest and clueless. A few months into the lease, they attempted to increase our set utility cost by adding various fees and charges. When our lease ended, we needed to extend it by a few days in order to have overlap to move into a new place (old lease ended 9/15, couldn't move in until 9/17). It took 5 trips to the office to get them to agree to extend our lease at all, for a $300 monthly premium. They wrote a new lease agreement with the final charges and we all signed it. After moving out, they refused to refund our full security deposit, claiming that THEIR math on our signed lease agreement was incorrect and that they needed to keep additional money to cover our rent, after we already paid their outrageous premium! The lady in the office told us that we would have to take them to court if we wanted our full deposit back. Other negatives to the complex include the quality of the facilities and maintenance. The gym had four or five treadmills, at least two of which were broken and never fixed in the year I lived here. It took maintenance about a week on average to respond to any requests, and problems were not always fixed the first time. I had a kitchen sink that dripped horribly for four months that was never repaired despite numerous requests. read more

I like living here. It is a short drive to Ford Motor Company, grocery stores, and Detroit. Maintenance has been responsive, though sometimes they have to come back because the job was not completed the first time. Appliances are generally a little older but they get the job done, no complaints there. Management seems to be trying hard and my only wish here is for more community events. Fitness room is very outdated but better than nothing. Disclaimer: Though the thoughts here are completely my own, Fairlane Meadow is offering a $25 rent discount for residents who write positive reviews, which in part motivated this review. read more

I have lived here for almost a year now and have no complaints whatsoever. The few times that I have had to call maintenance for minor things, they have been johnny on the spot in less than 24 hours. They will call all renters to put good review against this community in yelp and place false/fake promise that all renters will get "half month rent off" if they participate.So dont trust on YELP review as they cerate this fake review comment. Please go and see the Google Review and ask someone who is living @ Fairlane Meadow. They used to give $25 off for the partner enmployer now they removed this facility for existing renters and but still they are still running the same benifit for new rentgers. Current managemnet is tooooooooooooooooo worst.Don't trust on their Screen shot/verbal comments/feedback .They are forcefully asking us to pay $25 for Vallet charges .We dont want anyone to come our door and take garbage bag @ late night. The manager does not do anything to help us. We have had bug issues that they keep charging us extra for on top of the pest sprays they charge monthly that do not work. Everything always breaks on us even though we were supposed to have good apartment with nice new things. I have had so many bad experiences with this apartment complex. This is by far the worst place I've ever lived. I rented a one bed/bathroom and my toilet was clogged for 2 days before someone came to fix it, despite me calling the emergency hotline repeatedly because I had no place to use the restroom. There were bugs everywhere inside, including a wasp. The pool is closed until Memorial Day, so even if it's 80 degrees the weekend before, you're not even allowed to sit by the pool. The air conditioning in the fitness center doesn't work, so they just closed it for a while as opposed to fixing it. The front gate is broken all the time, so it barely even counts as a gated community. I had a very expensive laptop computer delivered to the front desk with delivery confirmation, but the leasing agent lied to me and said they hadn't received it yet just so they didn't have to stay open 5 extra minutes so I could stop by to get it. I could go on and on, but I'll spare them the embarrassment. Moral of the story: don't rent here unless you have very, very low expectations. read more

Fairlane Meadows has been nothing but a money pit. When I moved in the internet didn't work and they wouldn't work with Comcast to fix it. The problem was the cable was cut and needed to be replaced, six months later our internet is still spotty at best. It's 80+ degrees outside and the AC goes out, they wont come out because it's 84 degrees outside and they required 85 for it to be an emergency. They apparently don't take humidity into their decisions. A week later same thing ac goes out and they wont come fix it while we roast. The drier was blowing all of the heat into our pantry melting anything in the room, we called them and they showed up looked that it was working and left, never actually checking for a problem. The issue was the drier vent was not even connected to the the drier, which they would have seen and fixed before ruining all of my food if they had bothered to take a look. Now lets get to these amazing amenities, the pools, hot tubs, racquetball courts and tennis courts. The Pools are never chemically balanced so you come out feeling scummy all over and in desperate need of a shower. The hot tubs, if you can call them that, rarely work and sit at a nice 70 degrees 90% of the time. The entire winter the front inside hot tub was broken. Racquetball court rooms are decent enough, if you can get it away from the people playing cricket in them. All and all this over priced apartment complex does little to nothing in the way of customer service for the people paying their ridiculous rates. read more

Apartment office management is very good at insult. On Saturday I went to talk to them about existing maintenance order at 4:55 PM (note the office closes at 5 PM), they didn't even greet me more I greet them by saying hello! how are you doing? and when it comes to answering my question, they replied, "we can't help you today, because maintenance team is not in office". Then, I am asking them to see the pictures I have taken of the water leaking, and she didn't even want to look at it, so she repeated "I can't help you." BIG TIME INSULT. Then I asked "what do I need to do?" they said "did you call the emergency line?, just call that number again." When I asked to you the office phone, they replied, "NO, you can't USE, because it will dial the same number." so that's still middle of conversation, and other desk lady is asking this desk lady, that "just set the out of office message on the answer machine, and we will leave. we are done for the day.". So in the middle of the conversation, they didn't even do the curtesy of asking one of their cell phone, or suggested me to you can go home and call the emergency line or I am so very sorry I can't help you. Hope you call that number and get your maintenance taken care. Such a insult never seen in entire US. Is it just because I went to office with a question at 4:55 pm on Saturday and their office hours is upto 5:00 PM? did I do anything wrong? they are sitting in the office, it's not like I am asking them when they are locking the apartment office door. SUCH A BIG INSULT. hope you get your maintenance order resolved, and have a nice weekend. The departure from the office for me was wordless. And maintenance people don't understand simple english, including supervisor. When they are saying they will get the maintenance done today, it means we will finish in next week or so. Such a lazy maintenance team, except supervisor. On emergency line, they call water leak is the issue need to be approach and resolve ASAP, but when it comes to implementing they want to wait till the roof is broken apart on the floor. This is where it comes to torturing. Now I have big giant fan, dehumidifier running and the voice is torturing. The water leak is not my fault. Their maintenance is lacking in maintaining the apartments - old brutal accessaries. Less to mention, the water leak is at 2 places in the front room, and there is no where to sit. Torturing apart, the air from the carpet underneath is blowing by the fan, is burning the throat of mine and my mom's. Who is responsible of physical torturing? and why can't they look into this issue, and provide the hotel room for the days until they fix it fully? Such a lazy and tightwad. Like they want to become a billionaire from our apartment rent that too it doesn't even cost with the small sized apartment. 593 sq. ft. for 1039 $. such a penny-pincher. Who is going to pay the bill for all the gadgets they have put in my apartment? The big giant fan, the dehumidifier? Is apartment management? LAst time also, when I had the water leak from the fire chimney from upstairs neighbor, the manager that time said we will give you discount in the rent, but they didn't and the manager changed, and this new manager said I never gave you such a promise. so I am not going to give you any discount. And this time also manager is not going to help, on top , they are going to insult me just because I don't look like them.
