I say somewhat because they seemed to be understaffed for the amount of residents on a floor. There were usually 2 per side of hallway (I think). If our loved one was requesting something over and over and over and over again, we had to hunt someone down for it. Granted, I understand that attention isn't going to be *snaps finger* an instant, but there were times we'd have to wait and wait and wait for a change or for her to be taken to the bathroom. We could tell that the staff also learned the residents and realized when they *really* needed something vs. when they thought they needed something or vs. when they just wanted to ask for things just for entertainment. Overall, the people were nice and related to us on a personal level. There were ones that we shared conversations and smiles with and that's important when someone else is caring for your loved one. They were good for maintaining positive relationships.

These people are trapped there and they have to eat what they're given. It's not at a restaurant where you just won't go there if it's bad food. ;( Lots and lots of phones ringing without anyone answering is the real frustration. It's like a large family/community of its own. you can spend your time quietly on your own in your room or in one of the lounges on every floor. or you can spend time with other people talking or doing the scheduled activities. I found the meals to be very balanced with salads and fresh fruit, and your choice of meals that are suggested daily. There are snacks during the day with drinks available as well. The staff are great. They're friendly, they always address you by name and always ask if they can help you with anything. The administrative staff are just as helpful and friendly. I would be cautious about moving here if person needs much assistance. Although they mention assisted living in their descriptions, they are not licensed. Be sure you know the difference between licensed assisted living and senior living as moving is not fun.

The nursing staff is excellent and takes great care of all the residence. During Covid-19, the protocols they put in place to protect the residence were creative and met all state guidelines. They went above and beyond to schedule ZOOM meetings so that families could still visit with their loved ones. My Mom, at 96, has thrived since moving in and loves it and all it caregivers. The Management Team does everything in their power to make sure their lives are filled with fun, love and companionship.
