Was in town and decided to stop in for dinner. I had the spring roll appetizer. Amazing. They were delicious. For the main course I had the Caribbean ribeye. It is marinated in soy sauce, garlic, pineapple and a few other things. It was good but I wonder.... Why would you marinate a good steak like a ribeye? This is my favorite bar/restaurant! I love when Iris, Kelsey, or Julie work. They are amazing Belinda is not my favorite. She is not very personable or polite, but the others are amazing! What a fantastic find. Our customer kindly gave us the tip that this was one of her favorite restaurants in Tupelo and I see why. As others have noted, this restaurant is elegant, beautiful and classy, but I suppose you could come on in dressed in jean cutoffs if that's your style. The service epitomized southern hospitality, and I could not have asked for better food. I ordered a crab cake and a fried chicken chef's salad (Oh Yeah...). My colleague also ordered a crab cake and a Philly cheesesteak. We had one celebratory beer from the fresh drafts and it was ICE cold (solid selection of draft, both from Mississippi and national brands). Crab cake was absolutely outstanding and larger than I expected! Colleague is from NC and said it was very close to Maryland shore flavor; can't get much higher praise. My salad was fresh and large; the small fried chicken pieces on top were mmm mmm GOOD, and the ranch dressing was homemade and also ice cold. If I had a local restaurant with this ambiance (classy elegant chic) and same levels of food quality and service as Fairpark, everyone there would know my name... Prices were reasonable IMO; 8 bucks for a crab cake of that quality and seated in an eatery this beautiful is a reasonable price! Salad was 11.00 or thereabouts, so again no problem. Wow!! We stopped on our way home to Memphis TN for a late lunch after reading positive reviews. Fair Park Grill was spectacular, the food was prepared perfectly, the service by our server Molly was excellent, and both the bar manager, Brad and the GM stopped by our table. If you are in or going through Tupelo MS, this is a must! Since we were traveling back from our wedding in Destin, we were given a complementary slice of cheesecake with pecans and caramel (it was 4 inches high and delicious!) with congratulations on the plate in chocolate sauce. I was passing through town and wanted to eat at a local restaurant so I scanned Yelp and came up with Fairpark Grill it had 4 stars so I thought it must be good. I ariived around 8:45pm on a weeknight and there were a few people in the place but not that many I went and sat down at the bar. The place does have excellent atmosphere and the bar was spectacular this is however where the compliments end. The service was sub par and like if you want service you have to yell for it! Ha! I really did t want to be disappointed since this place was someplace that you would want to go to for a drink or food. The food arrived and after a couple of bites I was thinking maybe I should have eaten at sonic. It was very very disappointing. Based on other reviews, I had high hopes for this place. Sadly, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the experience was consistently underwhelming. All of the staff seemed confused/distracted which felt a little unsettling. But mainly, the food was just completely lackluster. We had (stale) chips and (lukewarm) queso, beef tenderloin skewers which were also lukewarm and meagerly portioned. For mains, we had chicken fettuccine Alfredo and warm spinach salad. Both were passable, just bland and generally unappealing. This was my first time visiting this establishment and it started off a little rocky. I had a party of 5, we walk in and hostess is standing at the door wiping off menus. She just looks at us and is talking, but we can't hear because of the masks. She finally realizes we can't hear her and walks up and asks how many. She turns around and walks off and she returns with another young lady. They say it is a 44 minute to an hour wait. We see lots of people walk by so we say can we just get that table because we only had 5. She then tells us it should be about 20 minutes. I said to clean a table and she says yes. I ask for a manager and she says with a loud sigh, ok, lemme get Victoria. A manager comes back and I tell her what the girl said. She apologized and explained they have a certain protocol they follow to clean behind guests, but assured me it would not be 20 minutes and we could have that table. We are then seated within 7 minutes. Our orders are taken and the food was phenomenal! From appetizer to entree! Everyone enjoyed! I will definitely return! Service is good, but this iteration of the "Grill" doesn't hold a candle to it's older sister in Columbus, MS. I've had a couple of dishes that the restaurant shares with it's Columbus counterpart, and Columbus does them many times better (particularly the creole pasta dish, in which Tupelo's is watered down Alfredo sauce in comparison). Overall, a real letdown, considering how amazing the franchise has demonstrated it can be. To be fair though, their bar area is very attractive and cosy. I walked from the convention center to have a beer with some friends once, and it was pleasant. What's more, the presentation of their food is very nice, although it seems a bit like they are trying too hard to be hip. I got the Caribbean Steak with Gouda and jalapeño grits and a wedge salad. AMAZING! My steak was cooked perfectly and the grits were out of this world! There was a mix up with my husband's entree and they went above and beyond to correct the error and make sure we were happy. The manager came to our table several times and even offered a free dessert. This place not only knows how to serve amazing food, they really understand customer service! Doing a roadtrip out west, stopped here from Google and Yelp, came in right at open at 10. Frank took care of us, he is new but very friendly and anything he wasn't certain was, he asked instead of assumed. I own a cafe in Florida and appreciated him taking the time and telling us about the specials. Drinks were good, however the porkchop special with grits and eggs was spectacular, especially the GRITS! However I had the chicken and waffles, best I've ever had, everything was just right. I don't know if I'll ever be pass this area anytime soon, but for anyone looking for a great place to stop, I'd highly recommend this place. Ended up here with friends after a trip to Tupelo July 4th weekend. The whole town was pretty much shut down but we were lucky enough to stumble onto this place. If you are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and want something to eat or drink in Tupelo after dark, this is a solid non-fast food option. The bar here is not the place for elaborate specialty cocktails, but they can figure out how to make most things and they do have a reasonable selection of bottled beers and draught beers as well. The place is also clean, classy, and not unlike familiar places you would also find in larger cities. If you are staying in Tupelo, there may be older, better, or more original spots to try before this for lunch or early dinner, but if you need to eat at 9:00 p.m , this is as good of an option as any. read more

They have probably the best traditional French style cuisine in Tupelo, and great fish and seafood options. Overall in a larger city this restaurant would probably only garner 3 stars, but for Tupelo, and because of the lack of similar options this property gets 4. The atmosphere and presentation is definitely upscale and it's a nice place to bring a client, but I'd put the food on the level of a Chili's/Appleby's or similar establishment. They have a lot of gourmet-sounding items, but I"ve always found the food to taste a bit generic. Just my opinion. Portions are good, plates are pretty, food is average. Several mentioned their accessibility from the Hilton Garden Inn, but frankly I find the HGI's in-house restaurant comparable to the Grill.
