2024 Maverick - better late than never.
    Mark P.

The new leadership team at Fairway is continuing all the great things that have always been done, while working diligently to improve the consistency of service across all areas to make folks as delighted as possible. The last couple of years have been a challenge for all dealerships' supply chains. Fairway and Ford are getting it right. After 24Plus months I have received my Hybrid Maverick XLT and love it.

So about 12k mi ago my truck was still in warranty and I took it to Fairway Ford in Greenville, SC to get the cab mounts replaced under warranty. They told me the mounts were fine and wouldn't do the repair. Fast forward to today and the cab mounts are so rotted they are falling out. They booked me an appointment for 8am this morning. After waiting an hour and a half they came back and said "It'll be $3500 to replace the cab mounts and install a new track bar." I'm like: "Seriously?" They explained that the factory cab mount set is $800, that my bumper would have to come completely off and that all the wires and other nonsense (their words) would have to be cut or disconnected. (there's plugs on everything). The labor to do cab mounts is 12 hours and they wanted another thousand to take the bumper off (6 bolts and a couple plugs.) They also denied any assistance due to their incompetence of inspecting it while it was under warranty. I did ask if I did the track bar myself what they would charge to torque the bolt at the frame (450ft-lbs). Their response was: $115 I believe this will be the last time I waste my time going to Fairway Ford in Greenville, SC.

Left my car for its scheduled service- accidentally left my wallet in the center console and all my cash was gone when I came back.

He was excellent, as I had many questions on that car and on another Lincoln we are thinking about buying.

Johnie and Bri at the front desk were courteous, insightful, and provided a detailed estimate of the cost. My Subaru Forester front lower control arm needed replacement (100K miles )and the repair was scheduled and performed promptly. The cost was reasonable and slightly lower than AI estimates. Out of the JAS parking lot, my car drove like it did when leaving the dealership 100K miles earlier. Amazing! Other services that I requested based on an assessment from another highly-rated repair shop were not deemed necessary. Let me repeat: Repairs deems necessary by another repair shop were not deemed necessary! JAS was superlative in every aspect of my repair from initial interaction to driving off the lot with a smooth running Subbie! These folks represent integrity and fidelity in automotive repair and deserve the Five-Star rating.. This was my initial visit but I'm now a committed follower! Gregory Bechtel, 08/25/2026

Called Thursday afternoon almost closing. I was told my car was too complicated so they would "tackle it on Monday". That's fair. I waited until closing on Monday to call. The rep told me nothing was done. They weren't sure when they would analyze my car. I left a voicemail that night asking if I should tow my car to someone else? This was their response: "Hey Bill, this is Bill at Japanese auto I got your message. Please feel free to send whoever you want to tell your car away. Way too busy and this is not gonna be an easy fix so Please come get it take us somewhere else. Have a good day...." the voicemail they left me. Mason & sons were done in 3 days. They are too busy and don't care. Do not bring your car to this place. It's a joke with customer service. 8 DAYS THEY DIDNT LOOK AT MY Car. 8 DAYS NO COMMUNICATION FROM JAPANESE AUTO REPAIRS. I SPENT $580 ON UBER DURING THIS PERIOD THEY DIDNT EVEN LOOK AT MY CAR. Do not trust this place. My quoted voicemail should be enough. Mason and sons will provide much better service especially customer service. Honestly, I am disgusted by the way I was treated by Japanese auto repair. Believe the negative reviews they are more honest.

Justin Mcbride 20 reviews·5 photos 5 days ago NEW Service: Transmission I called and asked for a price to replace the torque converter clutch in my 2015 GMC Acadia and was told $1200. I thought that was really cheap and asked her to make sure, she confirmed it and even called me back to give the correct price. After dropping the vehicle off the next day I get an email to approve work for over $6000. I immediately called and said, "No, that sounds like a bait and switch!" Long story short I took my car to a local GMC dealership who performed the job for $4652.29. I feel bad for anyone who wouldn't have known better and would have just paid that. The dealerships are almost always the most expensive, but somehow managed to beat this shops price by $1500. The second photo from the dealership also included a 4 wheel alignment. Buyer Beware
