I first stayed here back in 2022 after my GPS took me on a wild, scenic detour rather than the interstate, and the property instantly made my permanent return list. I have stayed here many times since that initial visit, including two times in the past month alone, so it was definitely time to update my review! This is a newer, beautifully maintained Fairfield property, though the room rates do tend to run a bit high. It could just be that I happen to visit when they have a high volume of bookings, as my most recent trip had three wedding parties staying on-site at once. The staff here are absolutely amazing. Back during my first stay, I noticed some of the employees communicate in ASL. While I do not know much American Sign Language myself, I think it is wonderful that the employees know this language and that management values offering that accessibility to guests. On my recent trips, the front desk team even warmly welcomed me back upon arrival! I was given two awesome room upgrades during my past two visits; the last room featured five windows and a ton of beautiful natural light. The rooms always provide the perfect layout to relax, a great selection of cable channels, and excellent Wi-Fi. Logistically, the hotel features a large, well-lit parking lot, two elevators, a small outside swimming pool, and a fitness room. The breakfast area in the morning is nice and remains far above other Fairfield Inns I have stayed at, offering a good variety of hot and cold items from eggs and bacon to oatmeal, breads, cereals and waffles. I like the selection of toppings for the oatmeal and waffles. The breakfast staff does an excellent job of replenishing everything as needed. The hotel still has Pepsi products and hasn't fully transitioned to Coca-Cola, but I did find a Sprite in the Market, so that is a start, and maybe next time I can get a Coke. It is a reliable, high-quality favorite that continues to hit a five-star benchmark!

They still had out their coffee, hot chocolate, and teas out for those needing a refresher, which is always nice. The hotel was very clean and our room was also very clean. I can honestly say that this is the first hotel that I have ever been in that the shower curtain felt and looked clean. The room AC was on point. I love a cold hotel room for sleep. I do wish the refrigerator was a little colder, but other than that, I have no complaints. We enjoyed our stay.  The plus side to this hotel is that Starbucks and Cracker Barrel are right next door.

I love the claw foot bathtub, which also has a shower in case you don't have time for a nice relaxing bath. I also love the toiletries they stock in the bathroom. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash & lody lotion all smell fabulous! They also include other essentials like makeup remover wipes, shower cap, etc. They even have some bath salts that smell fabulous if you have time to enjoy a nice bath. Unfortunately this trip is for business so, I havent had much relaxation time. Also, my hubby could not join me this time due to his work, but we will definitely have to come back on a weekend to enjoy this wonderful place together. Since I had to be at my client site at 7:00 AM, I did not get to enjoy the full sit down breakfast this morning but Teresa & Craig packed me a nice go-to b-fast bag packed with all sorts of goodies including juice, bagel with cream cheese, a banana, and a delish Kind bar & even put a nice go-to coffee cup out for me so that I could take my coffee on the road. Also, I must say in this day & age I am very concerned about cleanliness at the big chain hotels and this place is immaculate! I have already booked some return trips as I am working on a project in the area for the next several weeks. I am sooo glad I found this place and would highly recommend it! While making my way here I was a little worried but 10 seconds after meeting the innkeeper I was so glad I booked here. The inn is a beautiful, restored turn of the century home with huge magnolia trees on either side. The innkeepers take care of you and will accomodate any dietary or schedule needs you may have. If you are a light sleeper, use the provided earplugs to avoid getting woken up by the occasional train passing through at night. It didn't bother me at all. A comfortable room, a free upgrade, delicious breakfasts, and friendly, attentive service made for a very enjoyable stay. Looks like a nice spot for weddings and other events, too. Highly reccomended!

We took the towels to the bathroom and washed them with hand soap and they came clean. The lady at the counter and man over checking the rooms for deposit refunds were absolutely RUDE and tried to talk down to us. After showing them the towels were clean the cops were called on us and they tried to ban us from all Choice Hotels. Little did they know that would just backfire on them. The man wouldn't give the police officer his information so nothing was done, but a joke made of them. The police officers also told us they visit this motel quite frequentl. Our room didn't have a hair dryer, so I had to head to a dance competition with a soaking wet head. Tried to call and tell them, but the phone in the room didn't work. Our other room's air conditioner quit working during the night. The lady at the front asked why we didn't walk to the front desk to change rooms during the middle of the night. Our other room also didn't have a latch lock, therefore we had to put chairs in front of the door to prevent taking the chance on our toddler escaping. If you are looking for a decent and clean place to stay with your family, this is NOT where you want to be!

We had a room on the 2nd floor, with two queen beds. The elevator smelled like it had been smoked in for 25 years and barely made it to the 2nd floor. Upon entering the room, it was horrible. Floors dirty, mold in the shower and some unrecognizable red spots around the toilet...not sure about that. The floors creaked too in the room, which made me think the building wasn't built too well, which didn't help the noise we dealt with from above in the middle of the night. I know Morganton doesn't have too many hotel options but Days Inn will not be on my list again.
