So guess who ends up picking up trash all the time? That's right, me! Sadly, I see more and more trash every time I go, and that is a disgrace. A clean park lies on the citizens like us. Husband has taken to the outside walking path. The locker rooms are clean, as well as the gym floor and the equipment. I haven't tried any of the other services, but I did try their protein shakes. The 2 different ones I tried were good, and if it keeps me from hurrying home and feeling the need to eat everything in it is a win. There is an 18-month contract, they are a little more expensive than other gyms, but the other gyms don't have a sauna, hot tub, and pool.

We ordered the pizza and drinks package and they brought everything out not long after we arrived. As for the actual skate rink, it's a pretty decent size there's only one way to enter and exit though. So you can imagine with our tables being right by that entry it was chaotic. Kids kept zooming on the walkway and almost hitting the little kids that couldnt skate yet. A ton of kids were cursing and swearing too. There was a referee enforcing the rules; however, when some of the kids fell because they were all holding hands he gloated and told them I TOLD YOU THAT WOULD HAPPEN. Not something I appreciated from someone who's supposed to be protecting the children. Anyway, as soon as the time slot we paid for was over the staff rushed everyone out of the building. I understand that part, there was another time slot after us so no problem there. Just be prepared to leave on time when you attend their skate sessions!

Concessions are at the entrance near the Gift Shop. They do have a section under construction but I'm not sure what work is being done as the signs didn't communicate such. I found out that they DO take card payments now with an added fee! So if you decide to visit, you can pay with a card either online or at the entrance, both will have a fee though. Or just grab cash ($10 for 12 years and older, $5 for ages 4-11, and 3 and younger is free). Also the train ride accepts card (with an added fee) as well. Thoughtful detail in choice of amenities i.e. heated floor, luxury bath linens, abundant hot water & well appointed kitchenette (minus missing flatware) with recent renovation - which highlights missed opportunities for a five star rating. Very spacious, clean, semi-private entrance, hassle-free check-in. Great choice for peaceful solitude and enjoying a cozy, attractive sunroom. A request was promptly accommodated but the staff person left a wake of cigarette smoke behind. Smokers clothes absorb the odor. . Large screen TV we didn't turn on. Spacious closet in sunroom for both bedrooms. Walk thru smaller BR with twin bed going to kitchen. Disconcerting that no window coverings are in kitchen windows so be sure to hold on to your towel when you make coffee. Fortunately had plastic ware with us to stir coffee. Things to tweak: shredded foam pillows most uncomfortable. Take your own. And, the bathroom vent roared when the light was turned on. Otherwise, one must make their way in the dark so as not to disturb other guests. Is septic system friendly TP available in anything other than single-ply? . And gentle facial tissue? If no breakfast, maybe upgrade paper products. Bathroom shelving doesn't accommodate any personal items although some toiletry items are provided. Had to bring toiletry bag back & forth as there's no place to leave it. As an innkeeper, the best advice is always to sleep/stay in your rooms & be familiar with the quirks of each space; lighting, noises, ... I would definitely paint/paper the unpainted board under the microwave and the full sheet of plywood under the twin bed mattress. Where is one to put decorative shams & unneeded bedding? Only the sunroom sofa offers any space for items that should not go on the floor. Overall, this is a gorgeous property being carefully restored with a wonderful patio & outdoor kitchen area. I suppose this is reserved fo events they book. A charging station would be fabulous.
