Let's start with the positives, the members, the energy they brought into the studio and constant motivation they showed for one another was one of a kind. They were nothing but welcoming to me as a newer coach who still had a lot to learn in the beginning. The staff, for the most part was a family like team, I had a great experience with a couple coaches, others not so much. The front desk, SM and ASM were some of the friendliest people I got to work with. And I don't want this review to paint anything negative about them at all. Now the reason I put 1 star was because of how it all ended. The owners. They will belittle staff, only look at things through a numbers perspective without understanding the reality of situations, deny you of pay raises and embarrass you in front of the WHOLE team and then berate you when you stand up for yourself. I was not allowed to have a proper send off and was let go, because of how I felt about the owners that I had through a PRIVATE conversation with a coworker. Now am I saying don't go here? Not at all, the workout is great, the staff even better. I just want people to see through the lens of someone who gave it 110% consistently. I personally just wouldn't want to give my money to an ownership who does not truly value their team.

I signed up with them for the Everett location because I live in Marysville, they had some issues at the Everett location and say they are temporarily closing to do some work. This leaves Lynnwood as the only location nearby. Their contract says that if they have a functioning gym within 25 miles of your home REGARDLESS of if this is your "home" gym or not they don't have to provide refunds pauses or any other remedy. SO even though they closed the gym I signed up with I have no recurse because I live exactly 24 miles from their Lynnwood location (previously I was only 12 miles according to Google from the Everett location.) On top of this I wrote their email almost 3 weeks ago saying this is unacceptable please credit my account for the missed time. I didn't ask for a refund I basically said I can't do the commute just add time and when Everett is done I'll resume. NO DICE! They said too bad sorry no sorry tough luck blah blah blah. We don't care. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT MEMBERS AND WILL NOT BE HELPFUL IF THEY CAN AVOID IT. STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE. DON'T LET THEM SCAM YOU!

If you do do the challenge, make sure you document the day you take the classes, location, and who your workout coach was. Keep all your before and after photos. Make sure you weigh in at the same location you signed up at. When I went to schedule my final weigh-in, they conveniently didn't have any appointments at the Kent location, so I had to go to FW. I weighed in as a guest and then with my account number. There were discrepancies between the two and a huge difference from when I weighed in on Saturday. So I went to the Kent location and weighed myself there. Could've attach the photis but there wasn't much difference between the weight but a huge discrepancy between the body fat. I don't think I lost that much body fat driving from FW to Kent. If I had used the information from FW, I wouldn't have met the challenge requirements and would have lost $799. They also said I had only taken 17 classes, but I had really taken 22 classes. Most of the coaches have no experience in the fitness industry, and some are former clients that were asked to start teaching classes. After 3 weeks, numerous emails, and a paper trail, I did finally get my $799 refunded. BE CAUTIOUS!!! P.S. Marshall and Johnny are still worth the drive to FW. I've worked out before but have never done Kickboxing and was a little nervous. The first few classes kicked my butt but the second week was better, and I was getting the combos down. It's a great workout and definitely worked muscle I didn't know I had. Johnny and Marshall are amazing coaches and are definitely worth the drive to Federal Way. Would have given 5 stars, but initially, I had problems with the scheduling app, but after the 3rd week, it was working fine. I also had problems with the FITT LIFE app deleting food that I logged, so I just ended up getting MyFitness pal premium and scanning all my food.
