I felt comfortable at all times and their staff was 100% making sure you felt safe. Their staff was helpful in every way and was a delight to deal with during my whole stay. First I was pressures to get the crown when I felt perfectly fine, no symptoms. NOTHING! She was said the filled cavity was "too big" so what?! I had no pain... until... she put the new crown, no root canal just a new crown. Struggling to even put it on... left a hunk of cement in between my teeth. I was feeling a lot of nerve pain that even shot over to the other side of my mouth. I called the dentist and they kept saying it was just an adjustment period. I've had crowns and this was never the case. Long story short they said they are going to refer me to a root canal specialist that goes to their office. Red flag! After a month of pain and waiting he ends up saying it's normal pressure sensitivity. Stupid me just wanting to not have a root canal drilled into my new crown( what kinda backwards dentistry practice is this! ) yeah! You heard that right! She was telling me I might need a root canal after she put a brand new crown on) the "root canal specialist" ended up saying I don't need one. Probably just covering for her....but I was just happy to get out of there. I was/am soooo traumatized... Now I need to find a new hopefully trustworthy dentist...ps I was so traumatized I have not gone back to a dentist since 2 years. The pain finally subsided after 6 months probably because my nerve endings finally died.... I'm so upset.... So much money wasted just cuz this greedy dentist wanted to make money on a crown that wasn't even needed in the first place. First red flag was the secretary was having me sign papers for payment before I was even out of the chair! I have had no problems with her as she did a wonderful job taking care of my teeth. I took a year break from her due to problems with the front desk receptionist. However, with my most recent visit I've noticed there is a newly hired receptionist. She is young, kind, and so funny! On my first visit back she had my insurance details printed out in advance to which she broke down all the benefits and costs with me. It was very helpful to know. Deborah (Dr. Kim) was also still very skilled at her work, as well as the dental hygienist. I love the team work in this place as it seems everyone knows the routine. It helps the appointment flow better. Only downside of this place is that the wait can be sometimes longer than what your appointment was originally scheduled to be. This is understandable as this is a private dentistry with only one dentist working. They will try to accommodate you as best as they can but there is understandably no guarantee. Make sure you be a good customer and be on time or early so that everyone after you doesnt get delayed! Oh and schedule your appointment early. This place can get booked months in advance for regular cleanings. If you dont book early enough, you may have to be on a waitlist. However, so far, they've done a great job accommodating and finding available time slots. Dr. Kim is also an honorably discharged veteran. She honors fellow, current and past military members.
