This is a diamond in the rough. Viewing it like a food truck is a disservice. Clearly it is a labor of love for the owners and workers. I could tell I was in a treat when I saw the chef taking his time with each dish wearing a crisp, clean apron. Plus the 4.8 rating was a clue as well. The beef and chicken empanadas were great. The chicken medallion with rice, plantains, and rice was perfect. The only thing I was not a fan of was the beans which had a different taste than I am used to that I did not like too much. Note that this is hard to find since it is in the back of a parking lot. read more

I love their Faith Cuban sandwich with their green sauce. I'm sure their other food is great too, but I can't seem to order anything but that sandwich because it's so good. This is a treasure in Tampa. The food is great and the family that runs the restaurant is amazing (the Ventura family). Their chicken, rice and beans are the best I have had. You cannot go wrong. I also tried a chicken empanada that was superb. It is worth the trip to eat there. You cannot eat there in covered seating or take out but you will not be disappointed. I didn't take photos but goodness what amazing food!! I have had a few things and just remembered to review - Cheeseburger - delicious. Faith Cuban - phenomenal!!! fries - yum! stuffed potatoes- drooling Steak quesadilla - delicious just needed more cheese for my personal taste. First time trying this place and it is amazing! We tried a whole bunch of things and every single thing was so good. We tried the Cuban sandwich, empanadas and steak. The morí mango drink was really good too. Service was very friendly and helpful! There is covered outside seating as well which is nice during the heat! 10/10 recommend read more

This is my favorite place for cuban sandwiches hands down. It's a bit tricky to find their location. Its a directly behind a busy strip mall in Apollo Beach - behind Apollo meats. It is a stationary food truck. There are sit down tables w umbrellas. The family run eatery puts out fast good food. Call ahead because as it is family run they often take time off for family so their hours / opening days can vary. If you are planning on serving the sandwiches later you can order them to be cold and they will give you heating instructions. read more

Absolutely delicious! My family and I enjoyed the authentic Puerto Rican cuisine served here. I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures Mofongo with fried chicken- 5/5 Very flavorful. Came with a side a mini salad inside the tray of food and some ketchu-Mayo sauce. My only complaint is I wish I had more of the sauce. Crazy Pernil sandwich- 5/5 They added sweet onions to the Pernil sandwich which was a nice pairing along with the flavor of the Mayo on the bread. Will definitely order again. read more

Decided to give this food truck a try- my, oh my! The food and ambiance was absolutely amazing. To begin with the outdoor seating area is very well designed proving customers with shade and plenty of seating to choose from. As for the food-as the previous reviews indicate it is simply marvelous and delicious. My family and I opted to order the Crazy Pork Sandwich-oh our taste buds were busting with joy. If you have not tried Latin food this dish is a must!!!! The service was beyond our expectations-the ladies were very gracious and even surprised my family with feee dessert-bread pudding-yummy. This place is amazing! Food is delicious, great taste and portions. Drinks are yummy, I got the passion fruit smoothie and I would get it a million times more. Service was great too, easy to order and considering the type of food and serving, it comes out pretty quick. I'm cranky it took so long for this place to pop up on my radar! I could hardly get through my roast pork sandwich and Passionfruit smoothie without being a little dramatic about how delicious it was! Very nice local Latin food. The Cuban sandwich was hot, with wonderfully baked bread, tender slices of meat and just the right spices and condiments. The black beans were also very tasty. While this is a food truck parked at a permanent location it has a great vibe and very attractive seating area. We love it. You have to search for the location since it is in the back part of the parking lot. We almost drove away but we were happy we made one last look around to find it. If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault. Picked up the Faith Cuban and it did not disappoint. Insanely good bread, packed with meat, cheese and toppings. I added on a side of plantains and they were amazing. I'm so glad to have discovered them and will definitely be back to try other things. My only complaint is that the fries weren't good and they came with the sandwich (couldn't substitute). Oh well. Still really good overall! read more

This is an awesome place. A little food truck tucked away in Apollo Beach. The food is outstanding the people are extremely nice and friendly. We had a chicken medallions a day with black beans and rice sweet plantains. They were absolutely delicious. Had a Cuban sandwich one of the best in the area. They have many devil crabs that are handmade you're absolutely delicious I will stop in there just to get those alone. So if you end up I'll be sharing your right off of Apollo Beach boulevard and you want some outstanding amazing food stop in this place you will not be disappointed. Owned and operated by a kind and hardworking family. I have never had a disappointing meal here. I highly recommend any of their tacos, smoothies, empanadas, as well as the cilantro tilapia! Their homemade salsa is one of the best I've ever had. This food is some of the most authentic latin food you can get in the area. read more

Good food, good portions, good prices We ordered mofongo, Hawaiian burger, and the faith Cuban (both came with fries) and i got a can of the pineapple soda. I was too hungry to wait to take a picture but everything is VERY good size portions. They even gave us the "die dreaming" mango drink and it was very good. Coworker kept telling me about this place a coworker told him about who was told from another coworker. It's tucked away behind an office complex. Has outdoor seating underneath some large umbrellas. What it lacks in air conditioning it makes up in flavor. Fries were crispy and hot. The skewers were tender and flavorful. The fried plaintains were tasty. The Cuban bread was flaky and delectable. Can't wait to come back and try something else on the menu. And definitely try the morir sonando- you won't be disappointed! read more

We were pleasantly surprised when we walked up. The place was much nicer then what we imagined it to be. It had outdoor seating, and it was clean. The people were very nice. We went on Tuesday 6/27/23 around 1:30 p.m., my wonderful Juan's took me, because I had to try a Cuban sandwich, it was Delicious. They were so kind, and put my condiments on the side. I couldn't believe it came with Yummy French fries too. They were very fruitful at this time, we waited about 20 minutes or so. It was so worth it. Fresh ingredients. The hubby likes the taco bowl with a burger instead of ground beef. I like their fish or shrimp tacos. Their beans and sweet plantains are wonderful as well. We call in the order and it's usually ready in 15 mins unless they are really busy. They have a breakfast menu also. Closed Sunday and Monday. read more

But with seating and umbrellas for shade and a semi-permanent feel to it, it might feel more like an outdoor cafe. It's a little tough to find but worth searching for in Apollo Beach. read more

Faith Latin really is a hidden gem in Apollo Beach with delicious, incredibly underpriced food. I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner here. I've had the lumberjack platter with over medium eggs & crisp bacon and it was cooked perfectly. The pork chop dinner is enough for two people and some leftovers. Shrimp tacos were fresh and yummy and the Cuban sandwich was like nothing anyone serves around these parts! Great food, nice people and an excellent value! Definitely go try them. read more

Faith Latin Cuisine has one of the best Mofongo I've ever had here on this side of Florida. I find their food well season and balanced. Their hospitality is so great. Always attentive and courteous with a smile. I would recommend there place more as a take out. Being that is a food truck, the best time to dine out is the less muggy or hot weather days. read more

Back then you could walk across the border to Tijuana and party of Revolution St and come back that night after an abundance of $2.00 drinks and $6.00 lobsters. One time I decided to stay longer than an evening out and met a wonderful woman with whom I am still friends with to this day. She invited me to stay with her at her parents house which I gladly accepted and was taught how to cook with the local ingredients and the service, it was wonderful to be a part of, to be so immediately included and treated like a member of the family. After I placed my order at Taqueria El Palmar, I noticed someone coming toward the truck from my left and it was Mamma, the daughter of the taco truck counter woman. In my best efforts I greeted her and she replied warmly and the granddaughter was handing me coins from the tip jar and little sea shells she had. We sacked them in different patterns and combinations all the whole this little angel was smiling and laughing, we had so much fun. On to the food which is the point of the reviews but when there is historical significance that was so memorable to me, I just feel the need to share it. I noticed that there was a freshly prepared Mexican sandwich and the daughter said it was for her brother, so without hesitation I exclaimed "I would like to order the exact same thing -- and two tacos". It was a carne asada torta with avocado and guacamole with fresh onions and tomatoes too. Lengua and Pastor tacos aren't always readily available at all taco trucks but El Palmar had it all, well seasoned thicker cuts but not overly chunky. Normally I can chow down on this quantity of food and more however in this roadside taco stop, I was quite full given the significant step up in quantity and quality, not to mention this wonderful family that I got to spend time with, just like before but far far away.
