At $1.00 a pound what more could you ask for?! We used to pick at Sauvie's Island but got too expensive for us. Then we found Spada! So glad we did. The tomatoes are HUGE and taste so good. The corn is so sweet. They grow peppers, beans, eggplant, squash, broccoli and many more things. The owner has had to drive around his fields in the last few years to keep thieves at bay. Not cool people! The owner's need to make a living too. That's what makes the prices go up. Knock it off! This place is great and we'll be back every year. I hope the owner feels better soon. We…read morewanted the freshest possible tree because we like to keep them up until 12th Night, and it seemed like the best way to do this was to have one that was in the ground the day we took it home. We were concerned because I've never cut a tree down, my knees aren't great, and I didn't know how much crouching and lifting I would need to do. I didn't need to worry! They gave us a business card with their phone number and directed us to the area where the type of trees we were looking for were located, and told us to call the number when we found it. They then drove an ATV up, cut & loaded our tree in, and drove us back down. Once there, they shook and baled the tree for us. I was happy that it was such a fun and stress-free way to get the freshest tree that fits our house AND fit in my hatchback. I highly recommend Hughes Family Tree Farm for both people who want the Full Family Tree Cutting experience, as well as those who just want a better, fresher selection than pre-cut tree lots.

I booked online last-minute (the day of, and likely via an online bot, but was not given a time slot to choose from). I called, only to find out Ramona was not even there for most of the day. Since we were flying out the next morning, she was so very gracious to squeeze in a time slot for us later in the afternoon when she returned. Our private tour was nothing short of perfect. Ramona has used her interior decorating background to cultivate a landscape that exudes beauty and peace, and was happy to share her wealth of knowledge in all things lavender, as well as the stories behind the other areas and elements on her property. Being animal lovers, a highlight was getting to see, feed, and love on the donkeys, sheep and other animals that she caringly tends to. Although not actually part of the tour, she even let us take a peek at her fabulous and cozy Airbnb (Urban Donkey Studio) she has on-property, which was unoccupied at the time. Now we have another place we have put on our go-to list! After 2 weeks of hiking and being on the go-go-go, touring Sunderland Acres and getting to know Ramona was an exceptional way to decompress, calm our spirits, and bask in the beauty, peace, and love before heading back to real life. I have tried 3 times to enjoy my blueberries, in cereal, yogurt, just plain. I'm extremely disappointed, since these blueberries have absolutely no flavor. Close your eyes, place one or more in your mouth and you can't tell what you are eating. Freezing doesn't remove flavor, it seems to hold onto the flavor and sometimes depending on what's being frozen the flavor is enhanced. I have my own frozen fresh blueberries and compared them to your brand and your brand lost every time. I will not purchase anymore and don't know if there is still any nutritional value left in them. I am not trying to cast a negative view, just my experience and its not good.

First of they are lovely people, very friendly and you can tell they love what they do. Their stand is choc full of stuff and they always have samples. Every jam I've tried is just delicious! My favorite is silvanberry rhubarb jam. I think a silvanberry is a cross between a blackberry and a marion berry? Whatever, it's fabulous. Seriuosly you gotta try it. My only things is the jars are hard to open (but that's probably a good thing) so run the lid under the tap of hot water for 5 or seconds and voy-la!
