Had the Falafel Platter. The pita bread and hummus were good, but that is the best I can offer about the experience. The falafels were soggy. The falafels tasted old, freezer burned, and reheated. The salad had an off taste and I could not finish it. Not sure why my experience was so bad when so many others have enjoyed this place. It is rather seedy and dirty looking, but again with the great reviews I was ready to ignore that. Because of the Yelp reviews, I will give Falafel Cafe one more try, say maybe a gyro, but it won't be the falafels. Ugh. read more

I dropped into the Falafel cafe for a kebab lunch special. $8 gets you one skewer, a side salad of your choice, about a pound of rice and a roasted tomato. I picked up a side of hummus that bumped it up to $13. Flavors were good...taboleh salad was a bit disappointing because it was like eating a dish of celery...mix some more grains in there and tomato next time guys The highlight for me was the Hummus... so smooth, like a Ray Allen jump shot. We went back here today after remembering how delicious it once was. My husband's chiropractor is right next door and we were starving! We sat outside (which I love),and the waitress was very kind and accommodating to my meat and veggie only plate and to my husband's vegan only plate. They have tons of meat AND veg options, so that's a huge plus for a divided house, like ours. In my quest to replace 5 A's, my favorite Persian restaurant in my old hometown, I've finally found a place that comes close! I dropped by here for lunch on a Friday when my wife was too busy to break for lunch, and coming from downtown I arrived around 12:45. Finding it was a little difficult. My gps made it look like it was in a shopping center, so I turned into the parking lot instead of turning at the light. I drove past a Caribbean place and some stores and had to turn left when I got to the edge. I parked to look at my gps, which showed I was basically on top of it, so I backed out and saw the sign indicating the restaurant was behind the shopping center. I chose to sit inside, but the outdoor seating looked very nice. Inside smelled amazing! There was a grill in sight, which made me feel better about my chances here! The menu is fairly small, and if you've read any of my other reviews you know I think that's the way to go. I still had a hard time deciding, but I eventually went with the eggplant spread, lamb kabob, tabouleh salad, and baklava. The menu and the smell have me confidence to make such a big order! All of the main dishes were perfect! It was probably the best lamb I've ever had, the salad was unique and a great blend of favors and textures, and the eggplant spread was flavorful. The only disappointment was the baklava, which was a little soft/soggy, although the portion size for it was enormous! I plan on taking my wife next time to see if it gets the coveted Middle Eastern slot on our rotation! read more

Best spot to get Greek food. Nothing is bad on the menu. The desserts are amazing and I love getting the gyros.

This location is tucked away in a quiet strip mall on Barclay Circle, and is a fun little place to eat. The decor is certainly interesting to look at, and there is a never ending YouTube playlist of random things every time you come in. My most recent visit featured fighter pilot stunts and sporting events. The food itself is pretty good and comes out quick. Portions are really large and tasty, nothing to complain about. There is a hookah lounge on the patio that I've heard of a few friends enjoying, but I'm not one for hookah myself so I can't comment on that. Overall, solid place for some halal. read more

Best falafel in town! I'm from Michigan and recently moved down to Marietta craving some of the Mediterranean food that I'm accustomed to due to the ethnic diversity in Michigan. I got the falafel wrap here and it's by far the best falafel I've had in a while and beats some of the restaurants back home. If your craving a falafel, make this your first stop! Also the hummus here is delicious! The only bad thing I have to say about this place is the baklava, I don't recommend anyone order. I went here with a couple colleagues for lunch the other day and got the gyro wrap. I would say the flavor was decent but nothing too special. The meat I would have seasoned more as it tasted bland. I was also slightly disappointed with the presentation as the sauce was leaking out of the wrap before I even had gotten it which made for a messy meal. They did seem to be quite busy for lunch time and overall did a pretty good job getting everyone's order out smoothly. My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for many years. Unfortunately it's on the decline. As a seasoned foodie and traveler, my wife and I know a great deal about food and wine in this industry. We fully know what spoiled meats smell and taste like. This past week we went and had three different kinds of kabobs, (chicken, minced beef, and beef tenderloin). All three meats were spoiled and cooked poorly. The place has declined in all aspects and categories when it comes to serving the public. We are sad to see this happen, and don't plan on returning. As an FYI, this is not the first time we had an issue with their food, so we were trying to give it another chance. Also, lots of spices are added to the meats to mask the low quality of the product. OMG. Hands down the best meal I've had in months from start to finish. ohh where to begin... I work near by and a co-worker insisted that i check this place out. Took me a while to find it (it's hidden at the back of a shopping center) but it was worth going up and down the street to find it. The food: Simply put, AMAZING. I got the chicken and ground beef combo dish that came with salad, bread and white rice (lots of it). Even the salad dressing was to die for. The bread was good and they'll bring extras. The chicken was marinated to perfection. I haven't had chicken taste so good before. the ground beef ( kobida i believe it's called) was a little over cooked but still tasty. Persians rice is the best ever!. The service: This is a family owned restuarant and they'll make you feel like you're guest at their house. Very polite and frank. They are a little under-staffed but the way they treat the customers makes up for it. The friendly gentle man that served me came to my table 3 times to see if i needed anything. He then treated me to a cup of hot tea at the end. Final thoughts: If you want to have a kick ass meal and be treated like a guest rather than a ATM machine this is the place to go. This is not a fast food restaurant so make sure you have at least 30 minutes to spare for launch (it's well worth the wait). Friendly and honest staff + good food = 5 stars. It's good food. Yes, the service is friendly and slow. It's really too bad, the owner of this place could be doing a lot more if he would get it going a little better. I've had a few dishes here and everything comes out pretty tasty, The Hummus is for sure some of the best I've ever had, the kabobs... good. The price... just a tad-bit high for what they're serving, but I forgive them for that and I go there regularly. Well, actually I might not so regularly anymore considering Shish Kabob's is serving better meat with service 10x faster. But still ... I've been doing take-out at Falafel Cafe for almost a decade. I really love the food. The barg kabob is so delicious and juicy. The koobideh kabob is AMAZING. Any dish I get here is always on point. They have the best kabobs in the metro Atlanta area. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the service and appearance of the cafe. It's nothing fancy.
