I've only had Indian food from the frozen meals. I've been dying to try homemade legit food. Upon entering I was greeted by the owner daughter. She was amazing and such a gem. She recommend a lot of things and I posted out for the Chicken Tikka Masala and butter chicken. Both options was delicious. You can eat inside it looks clean and presentable. I absolutely will never recommend this restaurant I placed an order with DoorDash and it took an extremely long time so I called the restaurant to ask why the order still hadn't been prepared the lady told me not to call and to call DoorDash she also hung up on me twice and said the dasher already picked my order up when they had not even arrived to the store. I will never place another order at this restaurant again they are extremely rude and unprofessional I do not recommend any human being with a brain supporting an establishment with this kind of attitude towards a paying customer. This unassuming restaurant is so damn good!! I haven't eaten Indian food in a long time and decided to have it again and it did not disappoint. I had the Chana masala and naan (I'm a vegetarian). My friends ordered some other chicken dishes and they were practically drooling, they said it was so good. The service was fantastic and they were all so nice. Still seating everyone that came in even though they were closing soon. And the man that took my order was so pleasant and had the best hair I think I ever seen, and he wasn't to bad looking either lol. This place is located in a strip mall near Cumberland. I was waiting on my lash appointment and got hungry and decided to eat some Indian food since it's been a long time since I ate some. I walked in, and the guy sitting at the table gets up to greet me. I looked at the menu and decided to get the chicken tikka masala. Mind you, there's no buffet or lunch deals here. So he charges me $16.95 for a small lunch size portion and I added a thumbs up drink which brought me to pay $21.95. So after I paid he tells me 20-30 minutes before I get my food. I instantly got worried because my appointment is near so I asked if I can get a refund because I wouldn't be able to stay that long. He asked the chef and quoted 10 minutes. So the food comes out 15 minutes later, and there's no utensils or napkins so I asked if I can get some and he was nice enough to give me some and a plate to eat at the restaurant. The tikka masala tasted more like butter chicken than anything. But it was tasty. I wouldn't come back because the cashier lacked manners and was irritated after awhile. read more

TL; DR Awful customer service and not too many servers. Only visit the restaurant if you are familiar with the manager or close friends with him so that, in and out would be brief. If not, then do visit the place if you have 1-2 hours of wait time, as the manager/servers often tend to forget the order you placed, and twists their words to get out of it. My take on the restaurant : Heard that it's the best mandi that is served across Atlanta, however the service and ambience could not be much worse. I have always loved the food that I order from Hyderabad xpress, so when I had couple of friends in town, visiting me from Detroit, we decided to dine at the restaurant. The familiar customers at the restaurant, friends of the manager, were attended immediately, offered water, their order taken on and their food brought to them immediately. However waiting for the table took us 30 minutes, server attending our table took 20 minutes, and our order was forgotten, which kept us waiting for another 40 minutes. I visited the place with my friends and their family, who had a 2 year old kid and the people at the restaurant didn't even care, not even offering water to our table. The manager mentioned that the order we placed, chicken mandi only takes less time while their specialty dish, the Bahubali mandi, apparently takes 30-40 minutes. It was shocking to see that customers who were his friends, who were seated at the same moment when we were, already have been served with this specialty dish, while we haven't received the less time-consuming order. We decided to walk out after we realized that the manager forgot our order and the servers even planned to ready us food from someone else's placed to-go order, which sounded ridiculous. While leaving the restaurant, the manager blatantly lies and twists his words saying that our order was the one that takes long time to prep. read more

We ordered two Biryanis togo, kofta and Gobi 65 ! The Kofta was good but the Gobi 65 biryani was really yummy !! The Gobi 65 quantity was a little disproportionate, the Gobi 65 was more than the biryani rice.. Otherwise amazing taste, loved it! read more

Items reviewed: Special Egg Biryani, Chicken Dum Biryani, Mango Lassi. Special Egg Biryani: Was great. Ordered mild but got a very spicy one. Not sure if it is accidentally made spicy or order gone wrong. We had to add a whole lot of white rice before eating it. Tastes very nice though. It was a mix of boiled and fried egg. Very nice flavor to it. A bit on the oily side. Adding the white rice fixed all the issues. Side sauce and raita was great. Chicken Dum Biryani: Order gone wrong? We are given boneless Vijayawada biryani instead. Thats fine. Mistakes happen. Biryani was great but the same issue. It was ordered mild. But they made it very spicy. Not enough chicken pieces. A bit oily. After adding some white rice to it, it was very nice. Mango Lassi: Tastes good but doesn't justify the price. Charged us $4.99 but the lassi was given in a small glass. A $5 drink just doesn't come in a mini cup. Value: Even the biryanis came in small boxes. A $17 biryani needs to come in a decent size container. If people dont find the value, doesn't matter even if it tastes goodish. May be the locals will still come but for someone like us, who live a bit far, we wont bother if these issues aren't addressed. Dining space could use some care and clean up. Looks very clumsy and disorganized. Well thats about it. Will give them another try. The flavor is nice. Definitely Hyderabad reflects. read more

Now I don't usually write reviews but i was sweetly asked by this lady who cooked my food @hyderabad Express. Now i ordered Egg Biryani and asked to add some veggies in there too to which the lady chef politely agreed to. What i look in an egg biryani is: Rice, Egg Masala, Salan and Raita 1. Rice was not up to the mark. The biryani rice is long grain basmati Rice which is frangrant and you should see a combination on white and colored rice grains in the biryani. This was NOT the case in my biryani. I would rate the rice as 4/10. 2. Egg Masala- had 3 Eggs in the Biryani which is standard and the eggs seemed fried which was good. We went on the re-opening day at an odd time (for an Indian restaurant 4:30pm).. Service was slow but the food we ordered was awesome. Best biryani rice. Ambiance was good with enough seating space. They also have gulab jamun. The waiter will bring a pitcher of water to each table. Later they will bring fresh naan and dosa. I loved the dosa. The naan was really dry. Ordered from here a week ago for the first time. We got the Vindaloo (hot) and it was pretty hot and really enjoyable. We also got the palak paneer which was very yummy as well. The Naan was delicious. The only thing I wouldn't get again was the CUT MIRCHI BAJJI which was kind of like a corn dog but replace the hot dog with a pepper. Decent lunch buffet. We came here because Swapna is now closed on Mondays and we had a hankering for Indian food! The buffet had about 12 lunch items and several desserts. Good selection of chutneys and other sauces. The butter chicken was fantastic as was the dal curry. Tandoori chicken looked a little dry so we passed on that. Both biryanis were very good. I typically go to a different location nearby but it was closed and this one was almost equally as good. However, I my order was $24!!! It was a single portion with 2 extra orders of nann. If you want good, authentic Indian food, you HAVE to go here. For appetizers, I recommend the Chicken 65. The meat is so soft and melts in your mouth. More specifically, they have an amazing chicken biryani and great butter chicken. Also, their mango lassi is great consistency and a good sweetness level- not too liquidy! I believe one of the servers was prejudice. I treated myself to lunch and while there never received the complimentary naan being passed to the tables behind and on both sides of me. The bread guy saw me, I asked the hostess and he continuously walked by me while she was to overwhelmed to remember. Needless to say, I stopped asking and ate my food without the bread that was offered to everyone. It wasn't right. Food was decent. My sister and I waited an hour for her to go order. She ordered vegetable chicken fried rice and shrimp tandoori . I ordered chicken 65, basmati rice, and garlic naan and got mine in 15 mins. The food was less flavorful than other Indian restaurants in go to. The chicken 65 was chewy and the garlic naan was way too garlicy The shrimp tandoori lacked spice and they said they would make it spicy. Small to go portions. Appetizer portions are the same as entree portions. An Indian lady was checking out for her dine in order. While paying for her order she told the cashier she was disappointed in the service she was the first one there and they weren't busy but it took over an hour to get her food and some of her food was raw.
