Very slooow, be prepared to wait
    Stephanie S.

3.5*s, rounded up because the owner did acknowledge the long wait time and apologised with a pastry. He said it was spinach, but the stuffing looked like mushrooms and it was a bit sour tasting. Bread portion was really delicious! Tip: There's a free hot/cold drink with Yelp check-in! You need to spend $5+, but that isn't difficult. Owner looked a bit confused when I showed it to him, but he obliged. Mint tea was refreshing! Good: Everything is made in-house, including the PITA BREAD, dips, falafel, etc. You can definitely taste the difference! They really know how to make breads. The Needs Improvement: Wait-time is a KILLER. I ordered 2 falafel sandwiches - I thought I ordered 1, but I'll explain - and a hummus. Wait time? A solid 20mins+. I understand that things are made in-house, "good things take time", etc., but I don't think they were baking bread or frying fresh falafel as balls weren't hot/oily when I ate them. The owner is primarily doing everything from taking orders, making sandwiches, cashing patrons out. Only later when I came in after the 15mins that I was initially told did he have someone else from the kitchen come out front to help him. On their menu, they have sandwiches listed as "Half" and "2 Halves" ($8). I ordered "2 Halves" and ended up with 2 FULL sandwiches. No biggie, but it can be confusing, so make sure you specify. I wish they would just say "Half" and "Whole". I waited so long that I didn't realise I over ordered until I drove away... Hummus ($7 for "small") was GOOD, mousse-like texture, tasted olive-y, I'm guessing it's from the olive oil, but it did not come with any pita. Would've been nice if it came with a pita as this isn't something that I have at home. I ended up eating it with a spoon, but it needed something to accompany it. Also it was SPICY, which is ok for me, but may be an issue if someone has an intolerance. I definitely didn't expect the extra kick! Restaurant itself is small and crowded. There are 4 small tables and they're pretty tight, so not appropriate for large crowds. Not sure if it's any faster if you pre-order, but they really hafta do something about the wait time. Much too long especially if you're in a rush!

This hole in the wall is a gem and a half if you are a falafel fan. And the best part? They fry it to order! No more soggy, cold, chewy falafel. Every mouthful is hot and crunchy, and it is packed with flavour. At 99cts for each 2-bite falafel, I chomped down 4 before surfacing for a drink The only thing I didn't enjoy was the dip that came with it, which was very much watered down.

    Owner wrapped a great Falafel!

What a nice small authentic place to have Falafel plate and sandwich. We had Foul and Hummus, cheese and zaater pastries was very delicious. Sure I will come back again. My stars not completed for their atmosphere (very basic )and service(around slow to unorganized ). Washroom was clean.

I got to try these three amazing in house made dips. They were all so beautifully plated but so delicious as well. The hummus was so creamy and really fresh. The foul mudammas was so good, I love fava beans and these were so flavourful! The baba ghanoush had the perfect roasted eggplant flavour. They also have many other items I tried the falafels of course which was really crispy and full of flavour. A great place to try some delicious middle eastern eats.

Walking in, we were greeted with a smile. The interior of the restaurant was spacious with a private feel since they had areas sectioned off from one another. We ordered the Japchae (5/5), Boneless Yangnyum Galbi (4/5), Pork Belly (4/5). Japchae was delicious with a hint of smokey flavour to it. The noodles were chewy and complemented well with the savoury flavours of bulgogi. The vegetables added a nice crunch to every bite. The mushrooms added a chewy and fun texture to the dish. Boneless Yangnyum Galbi was so tender. Its marinade was on the sweet side which we weren't really a fan of but we still enjoyed the dish. Pork Belly was also tender. It was thinly sliced which was quite a let down since we typically prefer pork belly sliced a bit thicker. The BBQ we ordered came with two bowls of rice and lettuce (non-refillable), ssamjang and sesame oil with black pepper and salt for dipping, and some side dishes that were refillable: kimchi, bean sprouts, cucumbers and sweet potato. The overall quality of the ingredients, especially the meats, were great. It was pretty telling how much the cooks enjoyed prepping and cooking the dishes. This place is on the pricier side which is reasonable for the quality of their food. The portions are also reasonable for their price-points. I'd come back on a special occasion and/or when I'm craving japchae. The servers we had were attentive, checking in every so often to clear our dishes and change our grills.

The meat was really flavourful and well-seasoned, and they've got a big variety of cuts to choose from. I also liked that they've also got veggie options and other sides that make the meal feel balanced. The ambience is really nice too, kind of chill but still lively, and they've got these cute lights outside. Service was great, the staff were super kind and really quick to help us out whenever we needed something. It's a little on the pricier side, but honestly that's pretty standard for Korean BBQ, and the quality here makes it worth it. Easily in my top 3 Korean BBQ spots in Mississauga.

We ordered the platter for two, it came with samosa, soup, mango juice, salad, choice of pasta or rice & 2 meat options. We opted to try both chicken and beef stew with rice. For starters, The beef samosa was absolutely delicious, it was paired with a green spicy sauce. The soup was light, but flavourful. I have to say the beef stew was my favourite, it was flavourful and the meat was tender. The service was great. It was a chilly in there, the only criticism would be that it could use some personal touches, the restaurant itself seems a little bare. But the food made up for it.

It wasn't open yet but when I came back and visited again, a few weeks ago, I saw that it was open. So of course I had to try it. The new location is spacious, clean and very family-friendly. They've got a robot that brings you the food to your table. Staff is friendly and portions are as always, generous. Even with the platter for 2, we struggled to finish and we were 3 people + 2 kids. Their sambusa is also really good. The only thing I noticed is that the quality of the mango juice went a little down, as it tasted a little watered down (and unlike the thick mango juice I'm used to). Other than that, everything was an 11/10 as always. Hamdi is a place I'll never get tired of and a place I'll always go back to. Amazing value for money. Great quality and tasty food. Their goat + suqqar are my favourite.

Recommend the signature sandwich which was incredible. Holy Cow was so filling and the meat was juicy and tender. Had the smashed potatoes with both sauces better than old school fries. The flavor was just bursting out of these little potatoes. Washing it down with the house made lemonade elixir was a treat as they make it in house. I know a lot of people have reservations paying top dollar for just a sandwich, but I'd say the quality of ingredients and flavourful sauces is totally worth it. I always get the holy cow sandwich with vamp sauce, but will occasionally get the chicken sandwich with lunar sauce. I did try the lemonade they had once, but to be honest, it doesn't quite fit my palate. The lemonade has some sort of seasoning in it. If you've had lemonade from East Asian restaurants, you would kind of know what to expect. They also give you a discount card that you can show for an extra 15% off when you visit. If you're in the area looking for a quick bite, I'd give this place a shot.
