What a charming warm restaurant! We were warmly greeted upon arrival and welcomed into the restaurant. This is a bonus for us!! Our group of 3 ordered the Mama platter for 2 and a very appetizers! This was plenty of food, we even had leftovers. It's a great shareable platter with tons of different meat options, personally the lamb is my favourite, nice spiced and goes well with the mix dip appetizer we purchase. We were served complimentary black tea afterwards! If you still have a stomach they have plenty of dessert options too. I'd definitely recommend this so for the hardy meat eater, plenty of great grilled meats. I'd say skip the shasuka, but get the dips. They also have long tables to accommodate larger parties(8-20)!!

Chilled beverages- no tap water available

Located on the South East corner of Mississauga Road and Derry. There is plenty of parking in this plaza but avoid parking out front as the parking lot designer failed traffic flow optimization. Came here for a celebration and was informed we have a private room booked only to realize this private room was only partitioned off by some wall pants and dividers. There were kids constantly running in to play with the plants and offered Zero privacy if that is what you are looking for. I was also informed due to this restaurant's lack of reservation system, there is a $200 charge for this joke of a premium private room. (Minus 1) There was a wait staff that was introduced and was informed they would be taking care of us for the duration... I ordered an ice water while I waited for the rest of the party to show up, was provided can of coke. When I corrected him that I requested for an ice water, a bottle of spring water was provided ($1.50). I again inquired why there was no tap water and told they do not provide tap water (WTF?!? - excuse me but tap water is much cleaner and better tested than "ozone enhanced" bottled water. (BIG minus 1 for this environmentally unfriendly cash grab)... Menus were provided and was told we can scan the QR code to see pictures of the menu items. The pictures were small icons and could not be expanded to view the contents. I resorted to googling the restaurant and thanks to Google Reviews and Yelp, had a better idea of what the products looked like but many pictures had no description... back to guessing the food items. The dedicated waiter disappeared and was no where to be seen to place any order after sitting around for 45 minutes with everyone pressing the table bell hoping to flag down our server (think Korean restaurant table bell but this rendition does not work Minus 0.5 - yes this is already at a 2.5 score and without the food to be ordered). Finally flagged down our server to get some appetizers to get things started. BABA GANOUSH - presentation looked nice with an order of fresh pita bread bread (you cannot really screw up pita bread). The taste... the eggplant had no smokey profile, no tartness from the lemon or bite from the garlic. Not an expert on this but hard pass after one bite. LAHMACUN - was ok with ground beef ontop of flatbread. Interesting but could have a little more spices to bring out the flavour profile of the toppings CHICKEN ADANA KEBAB WRAP - this was the better of the 3 apps but the meat I found was a little dry and bland. The saving grace was the onions/ parsley and tomatoes to provide the meat some much needed juice and flavour. For the main, we settled in the mixed kebab combo so everyone got to try a little of everything as all the reviews raved of the wonderful food this establishment served up. Adana kebab - the beef kebab was... under-seasoned and did not have much beefy taste. Chicken Skewer - chicken is chicken and again under-seasoned and a little on the dry side (this was chicken breast mind you and to each their own) Veal shish kebab - meat was definitely soft and tender but that was about it. As you guessed it, under seasoned and could not pin point the flavour profile Lamb chop - grilled to medium - found the meat a little tough. Being lamb lollipops, I would expect a nice tender juicy bite to enjoy... again a little disappointed Beef Doner - maybe it was a busy day and they pre-shaved the beef doner as it was dry and again lacked seasoning to bring out the flavours. Chicken Doner - like the beef counterpart, this too was overcooked and dry. Not much flavour Chicken Wings - ding ding ding! We have a winner here. This had flavour! A little seasoning on the outside, little char to bring out some smoky flavours to complement the juicy meat inside. If you come here, this would be the ONLY item I can recommend unfortunately. Our waiter disappeared for the rest of the meal service. Not to come ask how the food was or any need for more beverages. (Minus one for deserting us) Never to try the Turkish coffee or any of the deserts

Finally managed to try the new location of Mama Fatma. I have previously been to Mama Fatma in Vaughan, but many years ago. I remember the experience being quite memorable at the time and the food being good too so was excited to try the new Mississauga location. It's always packed whenever I pass by so never got it till now, and even then, we had to wait an hour to get a table. The long wait times is quite inconvenient, especially since they don't take reservations (from what I found when trying to do a booking online). I'd prefer if they find a better way to manage the long lineups, since seating is limited (seating for when you're looking for a table) and the long wait times can be quite annoying if you're on a time crunch. The location is absolutely beautiful, and a great option if you're looking for a fancy dinner out for a special occasion or a date night. We went to celebrate a milestone birthday (60). Though the food is on the pricier end, the food is delicious and the wait time to get the appetizers and the mains were not as long as I had expected, given the crowd. There's a lot of menu items to choose from, ranging from Turkish dishes to pasta, to seafood and more. We opted for the Mama Fatma kebab with nuts (36.99) which I found quite high for the price, since it was a single meat skewer (though quite fat and big, and ok to share, if sharing other dishes too). The other thing to note is that the amount of pistachio added to the kebab was not as generous, compared to other Turkish restaurants. However, the dish was flavorful and delicious, served hot. Food is not served all at the same time, but rather when it's ready, which is annoying as it comes in batches and when sharing, which can be a bit annoying, but that's OK. The second dish we got was the chicken tava ($27.99), which was a more generous portion despite being the tava for 1. The bread and rice that came with it was delicious. The bread was served hot and super fresh. We also loved the appetizer, the sigara boregi (turkish cheese sticks). I was expecting it to be more cheesy (the kind where you can see the cheese pull), but it was made mostly with feta and served with a side of sweet and sour chili sauce, which paired well. It was delicious regardless. For dessert, we tried the tres leche as recommended by the server. It is actually one of my favourite desserts, but I found it a little sweet though it was good. We were served complimentary Turkish tea to complete our meal and the homemade ayran ($4.99) was also quite good! I'd love to try more dishes on the menu and more desserts. Overall, the ambiance is great, the restaurant is beautiful and the food, as good as I remember the first time. We had a wonderful time and the server (I think his name is Bari or Baris) we had was also very nice, professional, friendly and smiling. A rare sight at Turkish restaurants in the GTA. I get they were super busy which is why they couldn't meet some of our requests (such as requesting for a glass), but overall I'd recommend Mama Fatma, despite the long wait times.

Belated review, we went there few months back. Great ambience and interior decor. Wonderful service. Food was presented to our table very professionally with feel good care. We had a Beyti and a Mama Fatma Kebab. The price is a bit steep comparing with serving size. Taste wise would rate both with 3.5 star, presentation 4.5 star.

We had come here on a Sunday morning at around 11:45 am. There were only a few tables with guests when we had arrived however, it quickly became full as we were dining. When we first walked into this restaurant, we were surprised at how beautiful the décor was! This used to be a Swiss Chalet so, when we had seen how it had changed, we were pleasantly surprised. Definitely top-notch décor in my opinion; all of the colours meshed well together, flowing nicely in all areas of the restaurant. In terms of the food, there were definitely many options, which made it difficult to choose. I found that the prices were much higher than I've seen elsewhere. I finally settled on the beef and chicken mix wrap with fries on the side. To be honest, I found the wrap to have too much lettuce, and not enough meat; as well, the inside was dry, could have used more sauce in order to make the meat taste better. The presentation of the food on the dish was nice, and I was even given a side order of bulger which I thought was a nice touch. Service was good, with many different people coming by to bring us our food and beverages. Everyone was pleasant, and they looked to enjoy what they were doing. On the whole, this place definitely lives up to the hype; fancy décor however, the price is a tad too high for me, and the food could have been a bit better in my opinion. I will definitely be back though, as I would like to try the other dishes on the menu.

Came by for a work lunch and it was better than expected. The location is huge with plenty of seating and spacing. The facilities are clean and nice. The service is great as well. Menu has crazy amount of items so suggest u check online before even coming. But the food was excellent and everyone was happy with what they got. I would recommend it for sure.

It's nicely decorated Turkish restaurant, serving traditional Turkish cuisine and kebabs in a family friendly setting. The service is decent and the staff are friendly. We ordered "Shaslik" and "Mix Pide". Shaslik was fresh and perfectly marinated. Pide was delicious, too; more than enough for one person. They also offered Turkish desserts and coffee/tea.

Cute restaurant with pretty decor. The food was tasty and the portions were very large. Each table has a button to call the waiter which is useful. We came on a weekday for lunch but the restaurant was very full, likely due to the holidays, so the wait staff were a bit slow but apologetic. I'd return again to try the mixed platter and dessert which looked good, but I was too full.

We were looking for a new food place for dinner where we can try a good healthy grilled food. So, we decided to visit Mama Fatma Turkish Cuisine located in Mississauga, ON. If you're looking for a phenomenal food / dining experience, look no further than Mama Fatma Turkish Cuisine. Their menu is a culinary masterpiece, offering an incredible selection of dishes that cater to diverse tastes and preferences. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff ‍‍‍ is friendly and attentive, making every visit a true pleasure. Mama Fatma Turkish Cuisine is a lovely place. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city in spite of being in the city . There's an ample parking space around the building. The place has the huge indoor seating arrangements and the seating arrangement is super comfortable and spacious. The staff is really nice, friendly and kept following . The food menu is great and there are many choices to choose from and they also offer quite a lot of small bites options to choose from.Pricing is decent, good value for money and the place is more suitable for a group of people.

Had a couple of great lunch meetings there. Everyone loved the food, atmosphere, and service. If you're a drinker, now know that they don't serve alcohol. The first time we got the mixed BBQ platter for two. It was enough for three people. If you can't decide which meet to choose, then this is a good first-time choice. The second time we were four with individual orders. We ordered Adana Kabab, Sactava (Sauteed Beef), Lamb Lokum, and lamb chops. Lamb Chops were thin and more cooked/dryer. There's a great variety of meat dishes to choose from and done very nice vegetarian dishes with eggplant, etc. Plan to spend about $50 per person, unless you order the sandwiches. Same great food in pita or wrap for smaller portions saves you a few $.

Excellent Pita

Even amid a busy dinner rush, they were quick to greet us and seat our family without difficulty. That level of hospitality goes a long way, especially when you're traveling with hungry kids! I chose the Mixed Beef and Chicken Doner, and it hit all the right notes. The beef was wonderfully seasoned, with a subtle sear that provided depth to each bite, and the chicken was moist and soft. It was a big, satisfying supper served with fluffy rice, fresh salad, and warm bread that reminded me of meals I had in other countries. My wife and kids ordered the Chicken Adana Kebab, and they were equally impressed. The skewers were grilled to perfection, with just the proper amount of heat, and the serving sizes were large. Our server ensured that the spice level was appropriate for children while maintaining the flavor. We couldn't resist eating the Tres Leches dessert, and it was the ideal way to cap the lunch. It was moist, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet, making it one of the greatest we'd ever eaten, Turkish restaurant or not. Mama Fatma Turkish Cuisine has earned a spot on our go-to list for family dinners thanks to its outstanding service, delectable cuisine, and clean, pleasant ambiance. Highly recommended for those looking for genuine Turkish cuisine with a touch of warm friendliness!

It's like a sampler plate that includes a variety of their signature dishes, allowing you to sample a little bit of everything. Personally, I found the portion to be generous enough for 3-4 people, unless you have very good appetites or are prepared to take home leftovers. Their kebabs are bursting with flavor. They grill them with lamb oil or lamb fat to enhance the taste. The beef doner and chicken were tender, juicy, and well-marinated, while the lamb chops were perfectly cooked. The mini pides looked cute. As for drinks, I tried the Doğanay Şalgam. This salty turnip juice has a unique flavor profile; it was quite an interesting experience for me as I had never tried salty juices before. In fact, it's the kind of taste you might find yourself becoming obsessed with. Although the restaurant is located in an ordinary plaza, the interior is spacious and decorated in authentic Turkish style. The staff were friendly and patient, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. If you are seeking an authentic taste of Turkey I'd recommend this restaurant. A few dishes were recommended, but I was told the Koshari is beloved in Egypt, so that's what I ordered. Be prepared for a bit of a carb coma, but it's absolutely worth it. It was delicious. The mix of pasta, rice, lentils, chickpeas, and crispy fried onions worked surprisingly well together, especially with the sauces they give you. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Toronto.
