People can't be bothered to have their music through headphones 3. people talking on their phones in the designated "quiet area" and staff ignore despite signs literally say "phone free zone". 4. Areas broken for months never fixed. Continued... -ladies exfoliating in the sauna and in the hot tub so gross! -mold on the floor and walls of the hot tub not cleaned for over a year I finally left villa. -blood by the pool and showers not cleaned up for three days! THREE! What are the cleaners doing? Apparently nothing. Even after I pointed it out. -roughly spoken to by a guy who takes care of the area (I assumed) by the indoor lap pool. I was pregnant and hurting and needed my nightly stretch in the pool which is the main reason I paid to go there and I can't use the hot tub while pregnant. Arrived at the same time as usual. There was another person swimming but the man present didn't like women or I don't know but he told me "it's closed" and didn't give me an explanation. I question and shared how I REALLY need to stretch I'm in pain and it's supposed to be open another 40 minutes on schedule and there is clearly another person swimming in front of us, so how can it be closed? He just yelled at me and still didn't tell me why. I have no idea who or why he was there. Cane other days when pool was support he open and they had signs saying closed" when it was supposed to be open. They don't really have a good amount of machines other than tons of treadmills compared to LA fitness. And as others mentioned they stay broken a long time. But I need to work my back and don't use free weights. The hot sauna was broken for MONTHS! And was so unclean inside. I couldn't believe I had been sitting in there. But I'm sure it was due to the lady exfoliating herself and no one cleaning it! It makes me want to vomit thinking of it. I wanted a water yoga class but they didn't have evening classes for me. Only during the day when I couldn't go. For a large expensive place it makes no sense they could not hire for evening classes. Kids area-while I don't trust anyone to watch my kids personally, my best friend had a terrible experience there. Other kids would bully her kids and staff didn't seem to care. She could only take her kids a set limited time during the day so too bad if you can't make that block of time despite the fact you pay twice as much to bring kids you can literally only go when they say you can because pools and splash pads for kids aren't open or are closed constantly. The last straw was her son was arguing with his sibling as siblings do, but it was handled terribly. Instead of going to get her if there was indeed a problem , the staff dragged him down the hallway and when he thought he was out of sight, she saw him throw him on the ground. She happened to have come down for pick up at the time and was following them wondering why he had her son down a secluded hallway alone, He didn't apologize or anything. Terrible way of handling a child.

I've been a Lifetime member on and off since 2013, and consistently at this location for the past…read moretwo years. There was a time I truly looked forward to coming here, but lately, that feeling has shifted. Earlier this year (around February or March), there was an incident where a man entered the women's locker room - far enough in that it was clearly not an accident. I reported it immediately to staff, but I never received any follow-up, which felt unsettling, especially given how tucked away the women's locker room is from the men's. Additionally, the equipment at this location feels outdated compared to other clubs. There are frequent maintenance issues, and the overall layout doesn't seem optimized for peak times. If you're hoping to train legs for example between 4-7 PM Monday through Wednesday, be prepared to wait - often long - for machines or platforms etc. Interuptions during your sets are the norm. Even gyms with a significantly lower price point, like EOS and planet fitness, have more versatile equipment (e.g., a dual abductor/adductor machine), which could be a worthwhile upgrade here. Crowding has also become a major issue. Over the past couple of months, the gym has felt consistently packed regardless of the time of day. If there's a new sign-up promotion running, it may be worth re-evaluating how it's impacting existing members. It's incredibly difficult to follow a structured workout when you have to constantly rearrange your routine just to get access to equipment (if you're lucky). Parking has also become a huge deterrent and adds another layer of stress to each visit. The class schedule is not great either, as a yogi, i rarely have the opportunity to attend a class, and wish they had AM sessions available. Pickleball courts are fresh and new, but are first come first serve, and since they have been installed, have not had a chance to use them, due to strenuous wait times. Not to mention the amount of people who walk around with tripods at peak times recording, hence why i pay the fees to not be around people recording.. While I appreciate the under-26 discount, which brings the monthly cost down to around $220, I'm beginning to question whether the value is still there. I would really encourage management to consider updating equipment and rethinking capacity management - especially at peak hours. It's difficult to understand how this location is being ran when other nearby locations offer a much better experience for a similar price point. The one thing they do right is customer experience. I always enjoy getting to speak with the front desk staff and trainers. I really hope this feedback is taken into consideration for improvements, and helps out anyone who is considering spending $3000 a year to work out here.

It presents itself as an elite academy on paper, yet it fails to deliver the hospitality and facilities required for hosting high-level national tournaments. I attended a nationals tournament where players from across the country, ranked in the top three of their USTA sections, gathered to compete. Unfortunately, this was the worst nationals experience I've had, and I will not return, regardless of the event's level. Here are the key issues I encountered: - **Lack of Atmosphere**: Unlike other national tournaments, there were no decorations, banners, or photo opportunities. The facility felt outdated and uninviting. - **Staff Attitude**: While the food staff were friendly, the lounge was dirty, with torn and cracked seating. Staff members often engaged in loud personal conversations instead of maintaining a professional environment. - **Inadequate Amenities**: The facility offered no Wi-Fi for players and guests to use while waiting between matches. The courts were in poor condition, with numerous cracks needing repair, which is unacceptable for a national event. - **Insufficient Restrooms**: With only two toilets and one urinal for hundreds of players and their guests, the situation was dire. They refused to open locker rooms for additional restroom access, expecting players to pay a guest fee just to change or shower--what a money-driven approach. - **Poor Communication**: During rain delays, the club scheduled matches for 7 a.m. on Sunday, despite the rain causing delays until nearly 8:45. There was no text communication to inform players of the delays, which could have saved many a 45-minute drive. Overall, the Giammalva Racquet Club did not showcase its facility in the best light, nor did it make guests feel welcome. With the main courts under construction and many issues persisting, it's apparent that the management does not prioritize the guest experience. Many other players echoed my sentiments, expressing they would not return if the event were held here again. It's disheartening to see such a lack of care in a facility that hosts national events. USTA, please do better.

The club is part of the Invited network (formerly known as ClubCorp). It's my opinion that the club, while not in bad shape when I first joined, has improved over the last few years. The golf course has been one of the better ones I've played on, and it's great having three 9-hole courses to pick from. The pro shop generally has a good selection of equipment and clothing, and members get 20% off on clothes. Sports like pickleball and tennis are available. Also, groups that play games like mahjong and poker meet here to play. The main restaurant, the Red Wolf Bar & Grille, has many choices with a seasonal menu and monthly drink specials. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive, and if you buy the X-Life add-on to your membership, it's well worth it if you eat at the restaurant at least a few times per month. Special weekly events, like Tasting Tuesdays and Pasta Night on Thursdays, add variety by offering items not on the regular menu. The outdoor restaurant, the Tourn, often has live music and other events. If you live in the area, especially within in Hearthstone or surrounding neighborhoods, Hearthstone Country Club is a great place for activities with family and friends.

The second practice was extremely disorganized, communications were lacking, the pre-ordered basketball shorts were not available, the uniforms were not available, and Coach Jimmy was far too harsh and sharp to a group of kids around 7-9 years old. There was very little positive reinforcement and mostly just yelling and "no - wrong - do it again" type comments. Coach Jimmy also said his personal 'rule' was that the kids would be given a 20 pushup punishment if they didn't hold the door open for their parents. A sports coach has no business parenting or assigning consequences for things that occur off the court. It was entirely inappropriate. Like Mike MIGHT be okay at coaching a more advanced class with older kids who have thicker skin and have been through a few coaches/sports and who understand how things run. For little kids or an intro to basketball, do not bring them here. Find a place who excels at working with kids, positive reinforcement, exciting 'pump you up' instruction, and facilitating a love for the game -- this is not Like Mike's strength. We will not be going back and will find an organization that values their players.
