The pool is not being cleaned properly. There is stuff floating in it and it seems they arent vaccuming it. I see the same things floating for weeks. There is always sand in the indoor pool. I've been a Lifetime member on and off since 2013, and consistently at this location for the past two years. There was a time I truly looked forward to coming here, but lately, that feeling has shifted. Earlier this year (around February or March), there was an incident where a man entered the women's locker room - far enough in that it was clearly not an accident. I reported it immediately to staff, but I never received any follow-up, which felt unsettling, especially given how tucked away the women's locker room is from the men's. Additionally, the equipment at this location feels outdated compared to other clubs. There are frequent maintenance issues, and the overall layout doesn't seem optimized for peak times. If you're hoping to train legs for example between 4-7 PM Monday through Wednesday, be prepared to wait - often long - for machines or platforms etc. Interuptions during your sets are the norm. Even gyms with a significantly lower price point, like EOS and planet fitness, have more versatile equipment (e.g., a dual abductor/adductor machine), which could be a worthwhile upgrade here. Crowding has also become a major issue. Over the past couple of months, the gym has felt consistently packed regardless of the time of day. If there's a new sign-up promotion running, it may be worth re-evaluating how it's impacting existing members. It's incredibly difficult to follow a structured workout when you have to constantly rearrange your routine just to get access to equipment (if you're lucky). Parking has also become a huge deterrent and adds another layer of stress to each visit. The class schedule is not great either, as a yogi, i rarely have the opportunity to attend a class, and wish they had AM sessions available. Pickleball courts are fresh and new, but are first come first serve, and since they have been installed, have not had a chance to use them, due to strenuous wait times. Not to mention the amount of people who walk around with tripods at peak times recording, hence why i pay the fees to not be around people recording.. While I appreciate the under-26 discount, which brings the monthly cost down to around $220, I'm beginning to question whether the value is still there. I would really encourage management to consider updating equipment and rethinking capacity management - especially at peak hours. It's difficult to understand how this location is being ran when other nearby locations offer a much better experience for a similar price point. The one thing they do right is customer experience. I always enjoy getting to speak with the front desk staff and trainers. I really hope this feedback is taken into consideration for improvements, and helps out anyone who is considering spending $3000 a year to work out here. read more

She also said that I have reason to feel much safer if I do decide to return and that she cannot give me further details. LifeTime is a fantastic gym and pool with amazing management overall except one: Fahad Al-sammarraie. He puts on a high and mighty attitude and having seen his interactions with his aquatics team members first hand, he is extremely condescending and seems to think himself better than them when he should be treating them with respect and kindness. I once saw him visibly angry yelling at a young female Lifeguard, which is extremely inappropriate, not just in a workplace setting but yelling to a fellow coworker? Meanwhile I've seen him suck up to his superiors and act all nice. I rarely see him around managing his aquatics staff and when I do he's bossing them around while putting on a fake "I care about you" attitude. If I were general manager of LifeTime City Center, Fahad would be immediately fired. During my interactions with the Aquatics assistant manager Kris, he seems to put on a fake attitude towards customers. Overall LifeTime is a great place to workout and swim with many amazing staff, but Fahad is one of the worst managers I've seen in awhile and I usually don't pay attention to that kind of stuff. I hope LifeTime corrects their managerial mistake and finds a more caring and companionate manager than Fahad. read more

Honestly so disappointed with this location. I typically go to the green street location that is so clean and modern. This gym is extremely dated, unclean and the WiFi doesn't work. I also didn't like that I had to search for unpaid parking. The way finding at this location is in need of a lot of work. This gym has really gone downhill . Not clean at all . People have gotten bacterial infections from the outdoor-pool/hot tub-most of the time due to trash and other substances being leftover. Also, I have never seen a lifeguard even monitoring the outdoor-pool. The towels are dirty, yellow, have holes in them, etc. A couple of days this year, the gym had to even close because the pipes in the walls burst and it was not safe to operate. On top of all this , rates to have a membership are going up . This used to be a great gym but now is not worth what members are paying for. read more

Karmrin. She was absolutely amazing! She made me feel right at home. I came to tour the gym before joining lifetime, and she had such a lasting first impression. She gave me an amazing tour, and at the end we sat and spoke for a while. She gave me a rundown on prices and rates and even additional options that I can seek prior to making my commitment to joining the gym. I really am just making a review specifically for Customer Service, because I take pride in it, and that's what's going to keep me around. That's also what's going to have me to spread the good word about something in general. Word of mouth is more powerful than any other tool. It can make or break business. My favorite Lifetime hands down. Yes, it's smaller than most of the other Lifetimes. But the staff is so friendly and actually act like they enjoy their job. That fact alone makes the workout experience 100% better. They also keep their club pretty clean and well stocked. They even have hair diffusers for the hair dryers. As a curly haired girl, I approve. This lifetime is about 25 minutes further than my home club, but on weekends I brave the drive and visit this one instead. Hope they keep up the good work! The location is so nice as it is closed to some shopping stores and some restaurants. I used to come here years and years ago. I thought it was the BEST gym ever. Recently I have gone back and was kind of disappointed! The shower does not look so pleasing to use and the floor just looks dirty. The gym itself is BIG and I enjoyed the machines that the gym has to offered that most gyms do not have. Recently I was back here in January and booked a massage. The experience itself was awful. I had called to book a massage for two. We were confirmed for the time and also asked to come in earlier to do paperwork. I mentioned that it would be no problem because we were on the way now to go workout and shower beforehand. We even came in earlier to do paperwork. We were finally seated inside the spa room. We sat there for quite some time being confused as to no one had updated us. I think 15 minutes went by and we waited until someone was going to update us. There were no drinks or snacks in the lounging area, assuming the reason being was covid. Someone had finally come out to let us know they were running 15 minutes behind due to their client showing up late. I then had asked for water. That water ALSO took a long time. Guess what, another 15 minutes went by so here we are 30 minutes... and during that 30, our water finally arrived. I know we left before 40 minutes. I THOUGHT THAT was ABSURD. You left a client come in late to their appointment to eat someone's else appointment time AND wasn't being truthful about the delayed? 30-40 minutes is a BIG difference to 10-15 minutes. We have obligations to attend. This action forced us to call it quit and we left the receptionist know that we can't sit here any longer. We have to make it to our birthday dinner.... I have been the member of Life time City center since 2017. I have noticed while our dues have increased, the quality of the club declined drastically specially after it went public. Last weekend, the club was too hot and when I complained, the instructor said the engineer has said there is nothing wrong and the temp is set @72. But when I measured it, it was @ 83. I complained and the manager told, they do not have anyone to check over the weekend and fix the AC. I cannot beleive the club does not have a maintenance person over the weekend. I went back on Sunday and it was warm again. It seems the club answers to shareholders by increasing dues and removing the mainenance. The air filter on the shower in women's locker room is full of dust and it is apparent that they have not changed over the years. Do not join... Find another club. read more

The gym itself it nice, but the childcare for babies is awful. I was excited to go to a fun with childcare to get my body back after having a baby. Unfortunately the infant childcare should hardly be considered care. Both times I have gone I've picked up our 11 month year old crying like crazy and bright red. I learned after the 2nd time that they don't change diapers (even when only urine) and don't feed them. Why wasn't any of this told to me before? I asked why they didn't tell me this when I let them know where her snacks are in her bag and was told she just found out about this policy yesterday. She forgot to respond saying they aren't allowed to feed them for health reasons. The first time we used the daycare service our baby was crying very loud while the attendant held another, non-crying baby. I asked why she just left her in the swing crying and she said, well, I can't hold both babies. I am disappointed I cannot leave our baby in the Lifetime childcare with any confidence our baby will be taken care of by the staff. read more

Nice overpriced facility. Joined. Became a swimmer and a runner. The pool was often closed as some aqua or swim classes fill much of the morning. Run Club leader merged us with another club. Lifetime dropped the program. Brought it back and dropped it again. The general managers rotate like a merry-go-round. Sales kept pushing me to join Group Fitness and more. Given these "trainers" had far less academic and professional training than I, one has to ask, "why?". I did and found it to be one of their performance metrics..."why?" Because the more engaged the member the higher the retention rate. "why?" appears it is more about the revenue stream than one's health and fitness needs. read more

Since I am older, it was nice to find out that the lifetime membership would be paid by my health insurance in the silver sneakers program. shortly after enrolling, Life Time came out with a program that drastically reduced the time available that silver sneakers members can use the facilities. This is a sad commentary on the money grubbing mentality of lifetime management. Because silver sneakers has a reduced payment to Life Time for older Americans, Life Time had to revise the program to try and squeeze more money out of the older members. This is money grubbing greed in its purest form. To the Life Time management that will read this post, I challenge you to prove me incorrect. You cannot do it. As a 5 year member at this location, my wife being a 4 year member, and we are both quitting this gym. The gym might look appealing from the outside but the way how it is run is a bit saddening. They are not valuing their most loyal customers, they are pushing away their best trainers, they do not value the customer relationship those trainer built over the years), all their moves are $$$ driven. It's about revenue, profit, about cost cutting, about getting the cheapest labor and maximizing profit from it. I am totally fine with being profit driven but if that's the only thing a business cares about and they chase those goals by sacrificing humanity, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Obviously I don't want to judge how a business should be run here, and for sure they have nice sauna, cleaner locker room than 24 hr fitness, unlimited use of towels etc etc. To me personally, a gym is not like a shopping mall. It's about the price, and it's more about the positive vibes, the energy, the togetherness, the community bonding. When you run a gym the way you would run a mall, then I am free to look at other options. A quick note about their 'fancy' spa. Their spa manager changes like every 2 months - which shows you what kind of place it is. Staff coming and leaving like crazy. Always disgruntled and not in a good mood, probably being paid with a bag of peanuts? Once they did the hair for my wife (VIP membership at the Spa), and at the end of the session, they said "oh you have a lot of hair so we are gonna charge you extra $40". Not before the hair treatment, but afterwards. Who does that? Staff being paid like ****, and trying to squeeze out every bit of your money, what does that tell you about their business model? Word in the industry is their staff get paid less than 24hr and LA Fitness, but because Lifetime Athletic is a big brand, people are 'dying' to work for them for less and they take full advantage on that. So yeah, after all these years, after dropping about $2500 a month between me and my wife on personal training sessions, with my work place literally 2 minutes walk from the gym, we are thinking about saying bye to this place for good. For the rating, I give it an honest 2 star for the hardware and infrastructure (if that's all you care about, congrats). They are missing their beat on the more important part, which is valuing their customers as well as appreciating their staff. read more

I have been coming to this location ever since it opened up, and I have seen dramatic drop in customer service. It appears that staff believes that customers should be grateful to the staff and not the other way around and reviews written in last year or so are clearly showing that. First of all this is an expensive club where individual memberships start at $100+ per month. Initially all the group exercise classes were complementary, but that has changed. Some classes are now extra so your actual dues might be closer to $200-$300 if you sign up for these classes. Such classes are conducted in the same space where members might be working out, and if you happen to be at the gym at such time, equipment is off limits to you! We are all members-but equipment goes to the highest bidder! Other group exercise classes which are (still) complementary require members to reserve a spot. However, if you are late even 5 minutes they will drop your reservation and walk-ins have the right of way. Of course there is no an honest upfront disclaimer giving you heads up to their policy. If you complain, you are told that is how it is. You have to raise hell to get someone to say we are sorry-we will fix it. What happened to the customer service? Other topics listed in other negative reviews regarding billing, new cards, and construction are all correct. But it seems business is too good to fix any of these issues. read more

This place has ruined a whole Saturday for me. Me and my girlfriend were coming to workout and I'm the member she's the guest. I'm allowed 2 guest passes per month. I brought my girlfriend the last two times and then this month I'm trying to bring her again and they say no, you have to wait 60 days to bring her again. That is the most stupid rule I've ever heard. I pay $160 a month and only get 2 free passes, if I want to bring my girlfriend 2 times a month I should be able to. They said I have to bring new guests if I want to use my guest pass, screw that and why the heck would I want to bring new guests when I plan my workouts with my girlfriend. I pay the monthly membership fee and only get 2 passes, I should get to bring whoever I want as many times as I want throughout the year if I only get 2 a month. Terrible rule and a good way to lose customers. Fix that! read more

I scheduled a massage and the facilities for the spa are great! I had an appointment with Derek and the massage was amazing! I was welcomed and offered something to drink and everything on time. Also you can access the gym the day of your appointment which is great for whoever that is not a member to try to join in. Overall great experience at the spa and with Derek. Recommended! read more

I have never met someone as uncivilized as a trainer by the name of Anthony that does GGX training. He has assaulted me by snatching weights out of my hand after walking over to my treadmill and elbowed me to grab the weights! Uncouth, uncivilized and unacceptable behavior! I've gone to at least 4 other lifetime gyms around the city and this one is the WORST. I really can't understand why this wouldn't be anymore than the lowest basic of lifetime memberships. The entire gym is old and out dated from the look to the equipment. Sure it comes with all the basic amenities a lifetime gym does but literally all the machines are old like they are the same ones from when they originally opened idk what is that 15 years ago at least? The only gym I have been to where they do not push cleanliness. Every machine looks like it has sweat on it and hardly anybody wipes after themselves. But they really don't even have enough wipe stations to accommodate. The workout class rooms, no one pushes (meaning the instructors) for everyone to wipe off after themselves. ESP in the cycling rooms, again not enough wipe stations and I have watched on every occasion people walk on and off the cycling machines and not wipe them either time nor do they adjust the bike back to the original position. Which every gym/class I have been to except this location emphasizes every single class. Just price this outdated gym for what it is worth. Just shows they are about money because at a level up of cost from the newer lifetimes how is it even possible but yet don't put the money back into the gym. read more

These guys are really crooked. They won't let you stop your membership. We've canceled repeatedly. Called. Came in in person. Filled out forms. Still have to go back to cancel. Do not ever join up. They are such a pain in the ass. Facilities are great but they really take advantage of people. I've had almost a dozen friends complain about the same thing at Lifetime. They are still charging our account after all this. Bottom line. If I call in and say I want to cancel. That should be the end of it. Don't make me come in to sign paper work. Not once but twice. I switched gyms from LA Fitness hoping that paying more would mean people were a little safer with wearing masks. That's how they sold it to me. Not the case. I like this gym much more because of the better equipment and overall amenities, but signs and recordings telling members to wear masks is meaningless if you're not going to enforce the policy. I've been here at all times of day from afternoon to late night. During the day most people wear masks walking from machine to machine and remove them to work out. If you're wanting a high end couples massage, this is not the Spa to book at. When planning ahead, our hotel (The Moran) advised they'd yet to resume in room massage services so they suggested LifeTime due to it's proximity across the street. I was told on the phone that we would have access to their sauna's and were invited to relax before and after in a provided robe. All sounded great! Unfortunately we couldn't utilize a room for both of us at the same time so we were in separate treatment rooms. The ambiance of the setting is what you'd expect for a relaxing body treatment however the Therapists were BOTH lacking. During my massage I figured my therapist must be new and hoped my husband was receiving a massage at the caliber we expected. Unbeknownst to me until afterwards, he cut his 90 minute massage off at the 50 minute mark because it was so terrible. She appropriately asked at the beginning what level of pressure he wanted (hard) yet she immediately went off the rails with some super soft swedish massage style strokes that would slow to basically a halt that lead him to believe she must have been on her cell phone or wrist watch reading messages (ever get a back rub from somebody laying beside you falling asleep and you can tell they're drifting off because they slow to a halt? It was like THAT). Then there would be a mad fury of activity which jolted him to ponder what the heck was happening, and repeat the process over again. We arrived at 9:15am and she started the massage at 9:37am. at 10:20 he told her to just stop. He was fed up. So he went and sat on the couch waiting for me for 40 minutes. Now had we brought swimsuits he could have gone and enjoyed the whirlpool outside but when we checked the website for the hours it said closed - which is unfortunate because upon our arrival we found out it WASN'T (frustrating), and our plan to soak together afterwards could have actually happened (and it would have given him something to do rather than read a book on his phone for an annoyed half an hour). My massage began promising. I was lead into a room with a dry skin brush on the table, and I thought, "sweet!" I was sat in a chair, he brought over a tub and the water was so scalding hot I could not submerge my feet even a little. So he dribbled some water over the tops (not relaxing - did they boil it in a kettle?!) of my feet and then left the room so I could undress and settle in laying face down. The most redeeming quality of my massage was that I had requested warm stones. Unfortunately that lead to an immense amount of time where his hands weren't on me, and the rocks were being replaced with others or he was just generally coming and going rather than massaging. Never have I ever experienced that much "down time" when receiving a treatment. And no, the dry skin brush wasn't used - I guess it's just for decor? Monica at the front desk was lovely on the phone when booking but that's the extent of any positive feedback I have. The couples Massage I booked for my husband and I was on a very special day, and when paying he didn't even leave a tip for his therapist. Which is hugely telling because the man tips EVERYONE, and well. After being told his massage was cut short the desk charged us for his "60 minute" (not even), and me for a 90 minute with Himalayan stones. It is so frustrating to have purposely not booked at a Massage Envy or Elements Massage in order to avoid inexperienced therapists - and yet our day began so utterly disappointed by the lack of quality we BOTH experienced in separate rooms. Save your money, and your time. If you're parents and it's hard to get away together - I do not suggest you waste your resources here. I get that recent graduates have to get their experience somewhere but I did not expect this high end facility to be where. I was wrong. read more

Even 1 star is too much for them. I wanted to try the gym for one month to see if I like it or not so I got the membership for one month (January) and asked them if I can cancel it anytime that I want, and they told yes , you can. They didn't mention anything about cancellation policy that they force you to pay for the next month also even though you are not going to use it. After 2 weeks that I saw that their stuff are very rude and the facility and restrooms are not clean enough, I decided to cancel the membership. So I went in person and cancel that(January 15th), But they charged me $139 for the next whole month. (February) Which I did not want to use at all. I'm so unhappy with this experience. They are just nice when they want to make you a member and after that they show their real face. I'm so sorry for this business. They are not going to last long with this customer service. read more
