I drove over an hour to spoil myself. My pedicure was the usual. My nail polish is flooded and chipping. I should have took it as a sign to NOT get a full set. I told the gentleman I wanted a milky white. He said well pick a color. I picked a color I thought would give the same effect. When he brought the color I could tell it was pink. So I asked him to sample the color. I was right, it was pink. I told him I didn't want a pink and if he had a milky white. When he caught an attitude and said he had no control over the color. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN IT AS A SIGN. He burned all of my fingers. The nails are horrible. I brought my daughter and she asked for blue colored powder. He did blue French tips she just accepted it. I would NOT recommend going to this place. I came to this salon/ spa less than two weeks ago, and my nails were already falling off to the point where I had to take the rest of them off myself. The pedicure was okay for the most part, but the man that did my nails (Kevin) was rude and literally told me that he was ready to go home and didn't feel Ike doing my nails. Pedicure was excellent. Unfortunately, it was about 85 outside, 90% humidity and they had their AC OFF and just their door open. There are no windows. This mixed with the heat from the water made the nearly hour and a half almost unbearable! Too uncomfortable. I'd visit again but if the AC is off, I have to pass. I went in for a pedicure and I can tell you they look great. As far as the paint job it's 5 stars. I'm giving two stars for two reasons: 1) I asked for the #2 pedicure which had all the regular perks of a pedicure but it included a hot stone massage OR hot wax. I was not asked about either nor did I receive either of them. That was strike one. 2) while cleaning my cuticles the man, accidentally, cut my skin. He was working too fast and not paying attention. I understand it was an accident but it's now two days later and I'm on my way to urgent care. My big toe is red, swollen, and has pus in it. There goes $50! read more

He did best gel manicure I've had. Considering both my toes and nails were a mess before! I highly recommend this salon. I will be using this as my main salon instead of mine in College Station. Do not waste your money or time here. Horrible service and even worse quality. I scheduled for a group of girls to come in and get manicures on a Thursday afternoon. The owner ensured me there would be enough people to cover. For 9 girls, there were only 2 technicians. It took 4 hours for us to all get our manicures done. Very mediocre pedicure. The "massage" lasted less than 5 min and the whole thing felt very rushed even though they were not busy. I got one of the "mid package" pedicures and it did not feel like I actually got anything extra because of how rushed it was. She didn't address my cuticles at all and barely rasped my heels. Loved the little touches of lotion for your hands with one of the spa pedicure packages, the synchronized massages of both hands and feet, the soft toe separators, the care taken with the wax temperature, and one of the best foot massages I have ever had. That did a fabulous job! Excellent service from the second I walked in the door, and very friendly. This was my first time to try this place. I had a horse accident in June and the end of my big toe was almost cut off, so I have not been able to get a pedicure until it healed. The toenail now only grows halfway because it was cut so bad. They were extremely careful and did exactly what I asked, and made that toenail look even better than my other big toenail. I was also very please with my shellac manicure! I've come here three times,and I won't be coming back again. Once for a full set and pedicure, once for a full, and once for a pedicure and basic manicure. The man who did my artificial nails laid the acrylic on thick and lumpy and it looked terrible. I didn't have the courage to say anything at the time, but I wanted oval nails and he told me I should get square and told me it would look better that way. He also didn't trim my cuticles or lotion my hands. He slapped acrylic on and left my nail beds looking ragged. I was unhappy with the first set but I didn't want to make another nail tech fill someone else's work, so I directed him this time to exactly what I wanted. When he did the oval I wanted it was leaned all one direction and none of them were straight. I had to micromanage each nail being filed, and again I got no nail bed care. Just acrylic slapped on and sent on my way. My friend brought me here on her treat and I was dreading it, but I was just getting a pedicure and manicure so I had higher hopes this time. The man who did my pedicure knocked my big tie cuticle while trimming and the wax they put on was scorching hot. I had to pull away and tell him multiple times it was too hot. Then the lady told me I must have thin skin, to which I told her "I've had this done a hundred times. Maybe your wax is just too hot." Then they never cleaned my feet and legs after my wax and sugar scrub so I left there with my shoes oily and my legs gross. The man who did my manicure this time was the same one who did my acrylics and I guess he doesn't know how to do anything but a square tip because, again, the oval shape was crooked and I had to tell him multiple times to fix it. He would make a half-ass attempt and say "Better?" "No, it's not better. You didn't even fix do anything to fix it." Finally, I just told him to do a squoval shape, but that seemed too hard for him also. I ended up having to take the file and soften the edges myself from a pointed square to a squoval. Then I could tell he thought I was ridiculously high maintenance because he stopped looking at me and slapped the polish on. I had to ASK to get my hands lotioned and massaged. Just FYI, I am not high maintenance, I just don't want to be told that I have sensitive skin when the wax is scorching and I want the nail tech to do what shape and style I want with my nails without having to pull teeth. read more

This is my second visit, my mom loves this place but sadly this is the worse experience I've had getting a pedicure. I sit down and tell my nail technician that I will need fake nails on my big toe. She sits back and shakes her head and rolls her eyes. Then my feet are in the water and she sits there and let's the water get so high to where I had to jump and show her, in one more second water would've been all over the floor. I should've asked for another technician by now. She starts to hand me the menu and I tell her it's ok I just wanted the normal pedicure. Then she cut me and there was a good little amount of blood. I've been using Fam Nails for well over a year. During this time, I've had either acrylic or shellac nails, as well as a pedicure every visit. They do a fabulous job. My feet and hands look great! The owner and his wife are fun-loving and it's really enjoyable whenever I'm there. Over the years when using other salons, I'd have to change locations every few months because the quality would be inconsistent...but thanks to Fam Nails I've found a "salon home!"
