Brought it to them again and it took them a week to replace the crankshaft sensor. Okay I understand it was difficult to get it out. But it did nothing and they still charged me $$$$. Bought a cheap code scanner and figured out I have maf and knock sensor codes. Replaced the MAF sensor myself and boom no more stalling. Something that took them many days to fail to figure out. Knock sensors are much more difficult on 5.3L so I had to take the intake off. Intake manifold bolts are all torqued differently by them. The hose to brake booster had no clamp on the end of it so if the hose pops off I would kinda lose brakes. They also put cheapest no name knock sensors in it. No voltage reading with my multimeter when you knock on it. Replaced with AC Delco. Now my truck finally works well. That's all you need to know about Bob's Automotive.

The car has to be running for so long, the temperature has to be just right, all of these variables have to be met before changing the oil. The car was running fine and no warning lights were on. After they repaired the air conditioner, two miles from the shop, the check engine light started flashing. They said it was safe to drive, and to bring it back in. It isn't ok to drive a car that is misfiring, so I had it towed to the shop. They then said it needed a new knock sensor $90 and replaced that. Then all sorts of warning lights started flashing and they said it needed a new ABS Pump & Module $1289. At this point we were hamstrung and reluctantly agreed. Roughly $3500 later, on the way home again the airbag light went on and the fasten seat belt light started flashing. At this point I wouldn't trust them to open the car door, let alone attempt to fix anything ever again. Lesson learned, don't take your car to Mangols.

Not only did Mike at WP Automotive confirm some of the repair requests weren't necessary, he took the time to explain why. His prices for the remaining and necessary work were cheaper than the car dealership. Westpark Automotive is a NAPA shop, which was important to me. I know from prior experience, NAPA shops use NAPA premium parts which are higher quality than what a regular person buys off of the shelves at their corner NAPA Auto Parts store.
