On top of that, I asked them if they could check a rattle coming from a plate on the bottom of the car (that made it sound like it was falling part) and they fixed it at no charge. I called to make an appointment for brakes, tire replacement, and washer pump. They got me in within a couple days and completed all work that same day. Prices were fair; very affordable for what was done. The people that work there are courteous and professional, as well as knowledgeable, patiently explaining everything I didn't understand (Paul). OK, I have been a loyal customer for decades with service on several cars that were driven hard and fast. Got to love this place for it is always easy to get regular service with drop off and pick up around working hours. Then when something breaks they take care of that too because they fixed everything. It is really nice to have them know you by your face and I never ask about prices for they do excellent work. The great maintenance allowed me to drive a few new cars for over ten years each with over 200,000 miles on each car. That is real measurable value. read more

The auto repair business can often be a slippery slope for a customer, and it seems like the risk of getting ripped off is always at the forefront of legitimate concern. Repair shops are like cigarette butts on a smoking deck, they are everywhere and are under many names; however, not everyone is like the other. That being said, I have taken both of my vehicles here for service on several occasions and have yet to be disappointed. This repair shop has reasonable prices, provides professional service, and is willing to work with the customer in coordinating any repairs or maintenance. They even have a secure receptacle for after hours key drop-off, which I have personally found helpful as it permitted me to drop off my vehicle for next day service. Additionally, while many auto repair shops are averse to installing customer purchased parts, this one is happy to do so while only charging for labor. All in all, I am satisfied with the service that I have received at Lake County Brake, as well as the quality and timeliness of the work that was conducted on my vehicles. read more

I've never had a bad experience with Lake County brake. I drop my car off at night, by the end of the next day it's done. I've never had to come back twice and I've used this establishment more than a handful of times on several of my vehicles through the years including my children's. Fair and square and great results. I had to take my auto there three time for a repair that should have been repaired the first time. You don't put a new part on a broken part that's not going to uphold the duration of your car. You would think that they ( Service Mgt team, and or co- call ASA certifies mechanic) would tell you the first time, that you need you have a broken part on your car, and needs to be replaced before I can put the new part on your car. That didn't happen until I took it to another mechanic shop, that then said, that ( WHO EVER WORKED ON THIS REPAIR, DID NOT DO IT CORRECTLY). They also told me to have them call us ( Mercedes Benz dealerships) , and they would call them, Mind you , I took my car back to the place for them to repair this matter three times.......... then, tell me we can't fix your car. buyer beware went for tires and brakes was getting messages for service on advance track . They said they would do a computer check for 86.00 was told originally 83.00 . had it done at auto zone earlier it actually was better reading. My car was fine when I took it in when I left I could barely steer the car the result said I needed a 1600.00 rack and steering I parked the car got a rental . getting ready to tow it to General automotive and tow truck guy says there is a recall took it to classic ford it was a recall NOT steering rack . Also brake pads was told they were on wrong turned out they were just a crappy brand. I think they wanted to charge for work they created and I would just pay it. Horrrrrrrrrible service manager "Josh" is a jerk and I never leave bad reviews. I'm the type to Not take my business when I'm treated like the way I was. I never ask for refunds and I'm still not asking for a refund. 11/12/16 I took my vehicle in for a alignment they didn't have much business and told me it will take 2 1/2 hours. I was fine so I had my buddy pick me up and take me to work. I paid them in full before I left even though a hole in the wall shop that does the same work did a better job on a much older vehicle. For half the price mind you that the older vehicle that had better work done to it was a 1997 and he vehicle they worked on is a 2015 with about 10k miles on it. I see things as you get what you pay for. Didn't even want to bargain with these people he "Josh" said a price I said ok np! I sent my buddy to pick up my vehicle and was charged $25 for shop supply. ok wasn't informed but that's fine. When I drove my car it was much worse than when it was dropped off. Mind you I just put brand new pirelli tires the day before. So I give them a call this morning not asking for a refund or a discount only bcus I'm not that type of person. If a business burns me once I just never go back. I've never texted a person a message this long in my life. And for me to write this much about a local business really means they pushed me to do it. "Josh" so as I was saying I called and asked to talk to the manger and he was like can I help you with a ugly tone and told him what my problem was and he said to me ok and.. I said never mind I'll just bring the car there he said no! We close at noon and I called at 10am drive by at 1020 they didn't have any cars in there bay I'm actually a local business owner with a much bigger clientele and wanted to support local businesses. If he would of said to me sorry can you bring it in Monday I would of ben fine. Even if he said can you bring it in, in 3 months I would of. But he wanted to be a jerk and made me go through with this long message very agitating.. I asked do you test drive the vehicles he said yes and I asked they didn't notice that I dropped it off bcus it moved to the right just a lil and now it moves to the right 3xs more than it did. He had no answer thanks Josh. I'll be sure to send the customers that come by my shop that do nothing but complain. If yelp had a negative 5 star It still wouldn't be enough to define them with. Oh and they charged me to center my steering wheel at 1:00 to the right when it was straight when it was dropped off. Never have I ever gave a review this long.
