Came in for brunch on Monday and had a lovely experience - we used to live in new Hope and never came across this gem. So glad my sister found it so we could give it a try! I ordered the French toast that came with bacon, but our family was a party of six so pretty safe to say we had a plethora of the menu. My nieces who are fairly picky eaters even enjoyed their pancakes and Mac & cheese kids meal! Staff was incredibly sweet and even came to sing happy birthday to a patron with a candle lit cupcake! It was so adorable :) [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant is well sized and accommodating so don't let the strip mall presence deter you![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend you give it a try

Denver omelette with a side of salsa. Hash browns.

You have to eat here for breakfast too! It was delicious and well prepared. Nice little surprise for us and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Yum! This spot in Crystal is a hidden gem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's your typical hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant, but any ethnic food is best served at places like these.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff are so kind and food is amazing. We ordered the Chilequiles, Bistec a la Mexicana, and Enchiladas Swiss. The horchata was delightfully cinnamon-y, I loved this one. They also have a good parking lot so parking isn't a hassle. This place is family owned and a great BIPOC-owned local business to support!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This casual family-owned hole-in-the-wall, tucked into a strip mall, is the kind of spot you might drive right past -- but don't! It's cozy, unpretentious, and feels like a local favorite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely the kind of place you can roll into wearing sweatpants and a baseball hat and feel totally at home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came in for breakfast and had a great experience all around. The service was super friendly and welcoming, and the food was fantastic. Highlights for us were the breakfast burrito (hearty and paired well with their salsa), the chorizo and eggs (perfectly seasoned with a nice kick), and the champurrado, which was rich, warm, and seriously delicious. If you're looking for a relaxed spot with great food and genuine service, Family Cafe and Diner is it. We'll definitely be coming back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A quaint Mexican family owned restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My boyfriend and I were seated quickly and the service was fast for breakfast. We ordered the "The Cleveland", which was two eggs, hash browns, choice of breakfast meat (we got sausage) and toast. The hash browns were HUGE and crispy. Very filling breakfast. Good coffee!

Nice quaint family owned restaurant that puts out great food. Always greeted with a smile and the food comes out quick. My favorite dish from here is Pedro's stuffed hashbrowns! Some of the Best hashbrowns in the twin cities without a question.

This small family run cafe is a gem. It's hidden a bit, but is easily accessible from Hwy 81 & Bass Lake Road, in Crystal. It was affordable and delicious. I didn't think to take a picture of the food prior to gobbling it down. Make sure to try the stuffed hash browns, especially if you like cheesy potato bake. The service was outstanding. They greeted us immediately upon entering and our waitress was very attentive. I will be back and hopefully you will give them a try.

This place is authentic Mexican food and the staff is so nice and welcoming. We went for breakfast but I recommend going there for lunch and dinner. I ordered the ranchero skillet with pork sausage peppers onions on top of hash browns with 2 eggs over easy on top. Enough food to feed a few people. My daughter ordered cinnamon French toast which looked and smelled heavenly. My son in law pancakes and bacon which he ate every bit. I love supporting local family owned businesses. There is so much love put into the food

Oh my goodness, I'm so glad these folks are here! I noticed a few months ago that this small restaurant had opened up in my neighborhood and after eating here twice...this is going to be dangerous. My first order was your standard breakfast: eggs, bacon, hash browns, etc. It was really good and the bacon was exactly how I like it...crispy. Then I got to noticing their other offerings and made a note to come back for something more authentic. The restaurant is owned by a super friendly Latinx couple and they have pupusas, tortas, menudo, and loads of other delicious items. I got the pupusas which come in an order of three. I settled on a mixture of pork, beans, and cheese because I couldn't decide which to get. The outside had a nice crispness to it and the filling was incredibly flavorful. I am so happy that I stopped in here. Love local and stop in for some friendly faces and excellent food!

Not on the menu but they fulfilled our request, chorizo and eggs

This place is a hidden gem. The owners are so sweet and want to make sure you enjoy your food. We went for breakfast but we are definitely coming back for dinner! This place is a must.

The sweet corn cakes were soft with just the right amount of sweetness, paired perfectly with the carnitas that were tender and well-seasoned. The black beans balanced everything out, and the pineapple salsa brought that bright, fresh pop that tied the whole plate together. The jerk sauce? Bold, smoky, and just the right level of heat without overpowering the dish. The atmosphere is always lively--good music, a steady brunch crowd, and that energetic weekend vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer than you planned. Staff was super sweet and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. Definitely a go-to spot if you want brunch that's flavorful, filling, and full of personality.

The menu had some very eclectic choices. I would say pretty standrad breakfast choices with a lot of flair. I got an egg white omelet with jalapeño and buffalo cauliflower. I wasn't expecting this to be as good as it was. I was struggling between that and the caramel apple french toast, to which our server said "you can get one slice". Ok done. I'm actually really glad I only had once slice because it was so sweet. My biggest disappointment was not having a non-pork meat option (other than impossible meat), but I can look past that. The space is like being transportes to the 80s. Bright colors. Synthesizer heavy music. Just all around a fun vibe. Make a stop at The Breakfast Club today.

I enjoyed being in the building and it felt like a welcoming environment. We unfortunately were seated right next to the kitchen and had people always near our table. The service was okay, it was busy, but it was hard to get the refills and the check. The food was average. My girlfriend got a steak and egg breakfast bowl that I wish I had ordered. My sandwich was a little greasy and underwhelming with little flavor. It wasn't bad just not what I want from a place like this. The coffee was underwhelming. We both got separate drinks that tasted watered down. It didn't have a strong flavor or coffee taste. It was weird. Overall this is a cool place, but for the price and quality there are better options.

The noise levels in this space are quite high, and it can be hard to hear yourself or others. The staff seemed slammed - it took 15 minutes to receive my latte, and we were waiting quite a while for food too. Our server seemed very distracted and overworked/spread thin. She cleared our entire table before taking our card to get us our receipt and on our way, which was a bit odd too. Unfortunately, our food was a meh experience too. The $8 latte was the smallest I've ever seen, in a teacup almost. I got the skillet, and the potatoes weren't crispy, the pork belly was overcooked and tough, and the flavors were all the same. Other members of my party got the avocado toast and bagel. The price point was quite steep for the meal. Sadly I won't plan to come back anytime soon - I hope others have a better experience!
