    Nachos Supreme

Stopped in for a early dinner and hands down with be back! The staff were so kind and very attentive! For 4:45pm on a Saturday we got seated right away and didn't seem over crowded! Plenty of seating for larger groups as well. The food was outstanding! Got the supreme nachos on happy our and they were delicious! I got two street tacos for my main and they were also very good!

Great service and tasty food! The happy hour here is awesome and they have different deals every night. It's a great local spot for Mexican and the service is always fast. Plenty of seating inside and a small patio outside for those summer days. One of our new favorite neighborhood spots and I can't wait to enjoy the patio more this summer!

Tequila town is one of the best Mexican spots in the cities. I have tried to find a Mexican spot in the west metro and I have finally found the best one for me! The service is always super great and food comes out hot and fast! Love supporting a family restaurant as well! I recommend the choripollo it never disappoints.

I was excited to see a new restaurant move into the former El Loro space & the same cuisine. I like the colors and vibe of Tequila Town - blues & greens, super refreshing. We stopped by for a drink only but ended up ordering guacamole. I personally am not a fan of the guacamole, didn't have much flavor, I know not all places make their guacamole in house but this tasted like it came out a package vs fresh. We ordered drinks - the rum runner & the Mexican trashcan. Drinks were okay. They had some fun, interesting ones on the menu. Not sure the drinks alone would bring me back. Despite my 3 star rating I would probably go back to try food after reading other reviews.

Choose 3 Combo & Lime Medium Margarita

Great Mexican in Crystal! We went on Monday, the special was $2 off classic fajitas and half off lime medium margaritas. The medium was huge, I got it frozen and it was delicious. I ordered the Pick 3 Combo, I got a taco with beef, a burrito with chicken and a cheese quesadilla, then it is served with lots of rice and refried beans. The cheese quesadilla was a soft taco shell but it was a little crispy with gooey cheese, so good! The food came out fast and the service was great. The seating and interior was nice and clean.

Noticed this spot popped up in a shopping area I frequent. My friend that lives nearby said she enjoyed it so I swung by for some MASSIVE margaritas and a meal! They have a large drink menu and dining menu. The ambiance is classic suburba-Mexican restaurant with adorable pineapple lamps! Very friendly service too! They have classic margaritas in small, medium, large and even bigger, or you can choose a specialty margarita/cocktail from the menu! Tons of options! Of course I had to get the one with a Modelo sticking out of the top! This is classic suburban Mexican food with decent quality ingredients! I hope they stay popular so the quality stays up! The chips & salsa were what you'd expect, my friend LOVES their seafood dishes with extra-large shrimp! I decided on the Enchiladas Chipotle. The flavor was yummy, a nice even heat, and perfectly saucy! They have a parking lot, waiter service, and a bar! I would definitely give them a try for a casual drink with friends! Plenty of booths and space inside!

Degollado, Mexico made it to Minnesota! We found some authentic Mexican food to celebrate one of my son's USA Cup soccer tournament wins, as we visited from Chicago. You know the authenticity of a Mexican restaurant by their music: los Caminantes, ramon ayala, los bukis, you know!!!? Our server Jasmine was sweet and attentive, provided warm and fast service! We got to know her a bit and she shared great recommendations. I ordered a taco de pollo and another de lengua (Jasmin's rec)... Super yummy!! ooooooh and the corn was soooo goooood!! My husfriend had the shrimp cóctel, which was too far in the sweet side, but the delicious margarita made up for it. I recommend to Jasmine, that the restaurant should think about adding a coconut margarita on their menu!!! kids were happy with their kid-meals, and the horchata was slumped yummily- and my kids are horchata snobs, so, bien hecho!!!

Tequila Town is a new Mexican restaurant in Crystal. It has replaced the previous Mexican restaurant, Old Loro, which is now located in New Hope. It was nice to see that they redecorated the restaurant to help differentiate it from the previous Mexican restaurant. Overall, this seems like a good choice. In terms of variety, it's similar to most of the suburban Mexican restaurants in the area, including El Toro (Robbinsdale), El Loro (New Hope), and Teresa's (Golden Valley). However I was (mostly) impressed with the quality, quantity, and price. I think I need to order different dishes to see if I would raise or lower the overall rating. Food: They quickly brought out salsa and chips. The chips were fresh, crispy, and tasty. However, the salsa needs to be thicker and have more flavor. Despite some pieces of cilantro, the salsa tasted like it was from a jar: very thin and watery, no pieces of vegetables, and little taste (or heat). This would be a good place for Tequila Town to up their game, since it's your first impression of the food. My wife had a Mojito, which was good and minty. I had the chicken and steak fajitas, which came with a side of lettuce, sour cream, and excellent tasting refried beans, and rice. (I skipped the tortillas.) The fajitas came on a sizzling cast iron insert. While this is common, the plate was intensely hot and the sizzle and steam was very satisfying. The downside is that I think it overcooked the chicken because it had been cut into very small pieces. Therefore the chicken was dry and overcooked. Interestingly, the beef faired better because it was in larger strips. Overall, the dish was excellent except for the chicken pieces. The onions were caramelized by the heat, so that was a good thing. Although the portion might be smaller than some other restaurants, it was plenty for me and the $16.95 price was a good value. The accompanying sides of rice and beans was excellent. My wife had the street tacos, specifically the Pollo Asado, and had ordered three tacos for $12.99. The tacos came with cilantro, chopped onion and two salsas -- red and green. The red was very spicy (MUCH more spicy than the salsa served with the chips and the green was a creamy cilantro-based sauce. They both were very good. The tacos also came with the excellent rice and beans. Her tacos tasted very fresh because of the fresh cilantro and onions. I thought they were excellent overall. Ambiance: The place was clean, bright and welcoming. They obviously put some money into the remodeling. The service was friendly and we were served food very quickly. We were there on a Friday evening for dinner and reservations were not necessary. Hopefully, when I visit again, I can raise the rating to a 5. This place has great potential!

The speed of the food getting to you is insanely fast! The food is seasoned to the gods sheesh. My old mexican spot has been cancelled as of tonight. The service was outstanding.

The Ambiance: Comfortable, beautifully designed, and feels authentic to the best Mexican restaurants I grew up with in New Mexico and California. From the moment you walk in, you'll be met with gorgeous details. The Service: Mari knew the drink menu inside out, and helped us navigate the margaritas. With a mix made in house, we got the Perfecta and the Black Raspberry, and perfect they were. We ordered a side shot of Casamigos reposado, and it brought the drinks to the next level. No mass produced, overly sweet or impossibly sour bases here. You will be met with authenticity, made with love. The Food: Delicious. Well seasoned. A shining example of cuisine made from recipes refined by people who know what makes homemade food special. Definitely make time for this gem. You won't be disappointed.

Supermercado y Panadería Loma Bonita has quickly become one of my weekly go-to stops--part grocery…read morerun, part reward meal. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a diverse selection of dairy products, sodas, and snacks that you don't typically find all in one place. That variety directly stood out to me. Unlike many markets that focus on just one country, Loma Bonita offers a wide range of products from across Latin America, including El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, and more. One area for improvement is pricing clarity. In some sections, particularly dairy, labels can be difficult to match to specific items. That said, the staff at the checkout counter is willing to assist with price checks. As you move through the store, the selection just keeps getting better: fresh cuts of meat, frozen goods from around the world, and ready-to-eat hot meals. There's even a paletero (ice cream stand) tucked near the back by the produce section. The produce department stands out for its range, availability and affordability. It's great to find items like culantro, yellow (ripe) and green plantains, papaya, guava, mango, nance, yuca, and malanga, along with standard produce. Having all this fresh and reasonably priced is a big plus. What is the reward of visiting Loma Bonita? Their restaurant food! I almost always leave with a "Burrito de Asada" or "Huarache de Asada". Everything is made fresh to order, though they also offer convenient grab-and-go options like whole chicken and Mexican rice. On weekends, the menu expands with items like menudo and tacos dorados, making it more enticing to visit. There are multiple Loma Bonita locations in the Twin Cities, and while this one may be smaller, it's still packed with great finds. Pro tip: For homemade tacos, get their fresh, handmade corn tortillas. They're a game changer!

Longer version: This place is located in a strip mall that kind of looks run down. Do not let that stop you!! There is actually a really pretty park across the street if you do want to take your food to go. The inside was very clean and put together. There isn't much for decor but it felt like your standard "hole in the wall" twin cities hispanic restaurant. Parking is free. The service here was terrific!! I felt like I was honestly apart of a family! I was check in on multiple times! My server was very polite and friendly! Very enjoyable! The food: I got pupusas (cheese) and they were soooo good! The cheese pull on these were great! If you have never had them, it's kind of like if a corn bread pancake and a slab of mozzarella came together! You can get these stuffed with beans and meat as well! I also got the quesabirria tacos! Now I have been to tons of places in the twin cities for quesabirria tacos and dare I say these are some of the best in the twin cities!!! Oh my goodness!! Absolutely delicious! And the consume had good flavor as well! Packed with meat and cheese! The salsas were excellent and had a great heat to them! Their horchata was also very refreshing and I would definitely recommend that as well! This is a smaller business with a great menu, friendly service and decent portion/price ratio! Don't sleep on this place!
