I've been coming to Family Cleaners for about 10 months now after my previous cleaners lost a brand new pair of pants. I tried a few in the area and came across Family Cleaners. At Family Cleaners the front counter staff is always nice and polite, knows me by name and greets me accordingly. I had a little issue once and the owner stepped in an made things right immediately no problem. Since then I've been coming and will continue to patronize their family owned business. I often see his children helping out around the store which tells me he's teaching his children how to carry on the family business. I admire that. I have frequented this family cleaners a few times and each time has been a pleasant experience. I've had basic cleaning to bedding as well. The prices are very reasonable. The lady that works at the front counter is always pleasant as well. I just got charged $14.00 to have a 2-piece suit dry-cleaned. A complete rip-off! This used to be my preferred cleaner, but no more.

Completely unacceptable. First and last time I will use them. Picked up two white shirts and they were creased and wrinkled like I just pulled them out of the hamper, not to mention the random black curly hairs on the shirt. Family Cleaners has been my "go-to" dry cleaners for a while now, which means they must be doing something right being that I've been a consistent customer for almost 2 years. I haven't had any issues with their services thus far so I may be on the Family bandwagon for the long haul. I've brought in every piece of clothing you can think of to be dry cleaned and have been pleased with the results each time. Got stains? They can take care of that too. I brought in an all white dress one time that I had gotten lipstick on and desperately needed to have the stain removed. I pointed it out to them when I dropped it off so they marked the areas that needed special attention. When I came back to pick it up, I was hoping for the best and thank goodness the stain was no where to be found. My cute dress was once again white as snow, sans the red lipstick! Although they do good work, they are very particular about certain items of clothing if they think there's a risk of it getting damaged in the cleaning process. For example, if you have an item that has sequin, leather, or any kind of fancy material or design to it that may be subject to damage, they won't clean it unless you want to risk it. I had this happen to me recently with 3 of my items and ended up having to take them somewhere else. It's good that they tell you up front, but not so good in that they don't have special ways to clean unique materials and pieces. It kind of sucked that I had to go elsewhere just for 3 pieces, but it is what it is. *takes away one star* Prices here are very affordable, which is what keeps me coming back. Blouses/Skirts/Pants= $1.69 Dresses= $1.89 Sweaters= $1.89 Jackets= $1.89. They allow you to either pay when you drop off OR pay at pick up- whatever you prefer. I love that I can bring in a load of stuff for right at or under $20.00. They have a quick turnaround time as well- if you drop your items off by 9AM, they will have them ready by 5PM the same day. Just like most cleaners, they also recycle hangers, so if you despise wire hangers like me, bring them back when you return to cut down on your closet clutter. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this cleaners and hope they continue to be consistent with their services. Four or five years ago I had a bad experience once with the owner/manager when I noticed that one of my favorite sweaters had gone missing from the dry cleaning that I had just picked up and vowed to never bring anything to these people again because the guy was being a total ass about it. Fast forward to the present. Moved back to Houston and a few weeks after arriving back I desperately needed a few things to be dry cleaned. I reluctantly went back to this place thinking, if my parents have been taking their clothes for all of these years to this place then it can't be that bad, right? Wrong. Brought the items back home and to my horror 5 out of the 8 buttons on a $90 blouse that I had bought at Anthropologie had all been ripped off! I wouldn't be so upset about this if it was just one button because then I could've sewed the extra button that came with the blouse onto it. But FIVE are missing. I also noticed that a stain on one of my jackets was still on the jacket. A few days earlier my mom had actually made a comment about a stain still being on her blouse even though it was dry cleaned and my dad had said that you have to tell them there's a stain there. Is it just me that thinks that you shouldn't have to tell people that you're paying to clean your clothes to make sure to clean your clothes? Never again. And I mean it this time. read more

I should have checked the reviews first. If I could give no stars I would. Worst dry cleaning job I've ever seen. When I expressed that I was displeased (and the flaws were visibly screaming at you) the manager acted like annoyed with the fact that I wasn't satisfied. He took the item to the back and brought it back out with lint tracking from the iron he just ran across the pleat. Said if I didn't want it ironed like that I need to tell them next time. What?! Dude I just don't want to have to go home and have to re-iron my stuff! Poor customer service from staff and manager alike. I will never return. read more

Poor attitude from the manager and under-the-breath muttering by the underlings who would rather be doing something else whenever they mess up their work passes as "customer service" at Family Cleaners. Tolerated broken shirt buttons for more than 8 months at this horrible cleaners because of their convenient location but finally lost patience when 7 out of about 10 shirts had their collars left uncleaned and 3 had broken buttons. Instead of apologizing for doing a bad job, the manager was implying it was somehow my fault. He also went into a convoluted explanation of how they actually machine-wash shirts but call it "dry cleaning" and how it was superior to laundry. I've tried a few cleaners in the area and this one has the best service by far and the great prices as well. They are so friendly and fast here which is right up my alley. They even fixed a tear in my pants and replaced the buttons as well. In my opinion this place knows customer service. Will absolutely be recommending them to friends and neighbors. read more

This is my favorite cleaners, and I've tried many. First of all, I love their one day service. In by 9 out by 5. My clothes are always neat, clean and ready on time. Really bad. They gave four of my suit jackets to someone else because we shared the same first name (yes, they actually said they were confused because we have the same first name), one of my white dress shirts came back with black marks all over it, and my green sweater came back with a giant blue ring around one of the sleeves. One Star is too generous. Went in, gave the lady my phone number and she said you haven't been here in a year! I was shocked cause it was true and I live a stone's throw away. I remembered that I dropped off my clothes at a dry cleaners near work, which is more convenient. Last time I dropped off a blouse, a few days later when wanting to wear it, I realized it wasn't well cleaned. A fluke I thought. I hand washed it and wore it later. Fast forward to today, I go pick up a blouse and see it's not well cleaned. I express my displeasure and the lady tells me "we can try it again you can pick it up Monday morning, we can use harsher chemicals it may destroy your shirt." I told her how I've taken it to other cleaners before and never had issues she said to me "I don't know how you wear the blouse for the stains to set in like they do". I was flabbergasted. The "stains" are the thin dirt on the collar, and on the sleeves. Stains...!! Really...??!! I Didn't wanna make a scene, asked for my money back and now I know why although it's in the neighborhood, I stayed away for a year. Worse worse worse! THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE. I went to collect my dry cleaned items and one of my most favourite tops was ruined. There was a hole in the top. When I told the owner about it they tried to blame it on ME. He did not try to offer me a refund or any cost to pay for the item. This has become our normal dry cleaners. They are inexpensive and fast. We have never had a problem with missing items. If a shirt has a bad stain, I will point it out to them because I could see how small stains get missed when you bring in a large load. read more

This is my first and last time using this business. After paying the bill, I looked over the white shirts and the same dirt that was there when I brought them in was there when they supposedly cleaned them. I pointed this out to the clerk.
