Accidents can happen, but how they are handled matters. I'm not upset that my dog's nail was cut too short--I'm upset that I was not told about it and that the situation wasn't properly addressed before I left. The complete lack of communication and the way the owner responded afterward were completely unprofessional. Still, we had to travel a lot to visit a dying family member, so we took the risk. Jenny came over to meet us and the cats and helped calm us down right away. She did well with all of them while we were there, then sent us lots of pictures when we were gone. She brought toys and played with them. She even tired our our kitten, which I know the older cats appreciated. She always let us know when any of them were behaving strangely (our older cats were getting used to a kitten, so it did happen), so we could check in and make sure everything was ok. During a really hard time in our lives, it was such a relief knowing that she was there to take care of our fur babies.
