When I went to the register they tried to charge me $2 each .When I tried to explain to the clerk about it, he just shrugged his shoulders up and down a few times like it didn't matter to him. He had the manager come over because I told him that I did not want to pay that if your sign says $1.25, why are you charging me $2? When the manager came she said that they don't charge that price ($1.25) for them and it was a mistake that someone had put them over there, even though there were nothing but drinks on that same shelf and aisle priced at $1.25. She never went to look at them to check the price. As I waited to have the clerk remove the drinks before paying, the register decided to freeze up. The manager ended up opening up another lane and checked out everybody else in line. So it took about 15 minutes of waiting for the clerks register to come back on and finally I got checked out. I took a picture of the drinks and price to show the manager and she still just said I'm sorry but that's not the price of those. So it wasn't the best experience at this particular store. I actually came into this store just to buy 2 items for someone else and ended up getting more things. I think that it's bad management and poor taste and customer service when not honoring their mistake. I tried calling regional offices and also sent an email about the matter but no response whatsoever. It's been about a month now.

This one it's probably three or four times the size of the one that I usually go to. I went here because I was hoping to find some craft supplies that I had seen on the Internet. I did find exactly what I was looking too. They have so many different items here if you're looking for crafts, they have probably anything you can think of from wood to clay items, painting, and more. They even had a pretty large selection of valentines candies and decorations. The employee who checked me out was nice and the store was fairly clean. I did have to wait in a long line, but it went by fairly quickly.

There was one cashier apparently due to the other cashier being on lunch. A customer was trying to return an item that they dont even sell there. After 5 minutes or so of trying to help him the cashier called the manager to help her. There were 7 ppl in line. The manager came over and was assisting the cashier. She left and came back twice. A customer in line asked her if she could open another register due to the wait at the time literally being 15 minutes. She snapped at him stating Im the manager and I have to help her. When the customer asked if there was anyone else she said no shes on lunch youll have to wait. Another 5 minutes goes by and two customers walked out to which the manager was unbothered. She finally after another 5 minutes moved the customer to the other register and let the cashier check out the long line of ppl. So it took almost 30 minutes in line to check out. Ridiculous. I was on my lunch which is why I timed everything I was about to walk out myself when she finally let the cashier check us out. Horrible customer service.

The workers are friendly and the selection of merchandise is actually quite amazing! They have the most home décor furniture selection of any around. Plus the parking is great and it's super close to chick fil a and just doors down from the newly remodeled Tuesday morning. This location also has a great selection of handbags and clothing. They don't have as many kid/baby stuff such as strollers, car seats, etc. like the marshalls near quail springs has. That marshalls always has had an excellent selection. This location also has a great selection of anything kitchen you can possibly ever need! They always have an entire row (long row might I add) of clearance on the farthest back right wall of the store. Dressing rooms are always clean and never messy. There is always an attendant working it which might help I think.

After we checked out and got in the car, we realized on the receipt that we were charged $10 for the vinyl. I immediately went back in and told the cashier that we wouldn't have bought it if it was $10 and that we were obviously misled by the $5 sticker. She got very defensive and kept repeating that everything in the store is $10 and that there are no refunds. If that is the case, the other price stickers need to be removed from items. There were several employees just sitting behind the counter just playing on their phones. Why couldn't they be going through items to check for old price tags and clearly broken merchandise? They could also go around to customer to explain how the store works. Not happy with the customer service at this location. Once we got home, I opened the heating blanket that we purchased and plugged in it. It did not work at all. I tried to fix it myself, but to no avail. It's bull**** that you would sell completely broken items for $10 and allow zero refunds. Regardless of the good items we found, it is 100% NOT worth the risk to buy broken, unusable items that you cannot return. We will never waste our money at this establishment again and I will be sure to let others know as well.

It looks clean and very much stocked. The employee that was working up front was helpful and friendly. I'm so glad that Dollar General decided to open a store in Canton, it was very much needed in this small town where you don't see much change.

Not to say the new employees are not friendly but I believe our neighborhood literally bonded with the ones that were there before LOL. We really miss Q being there! I know the new ladies will be just as nice though. Just miss his familiar face when you go to the local DG you know. We did find some things that our local Dollar General doesn't carry like basketballs. They have lots of OU items but no OSU things. Besides the boxes ready to be put away and one aisle where merchandise is falling onto the floor, the store actually looked clean for the most part. The employees were nice, greeted us when we came in and helped when the credit card machine froze up. There are lots of crates full of clearance items by the register and discounted clothes outside. I saw two ladies working and boy have they got a job to do. I think the Dollar General stores need more employees to put out truck and straighten aisles.
