Fortunately, someone with some smarts and vision renovated to the mall into a outdoor entrance shopping center and secured Walmart (first one in Prescott) as the anchor tenant, and revitalized the center. Now the center is full with about 20 stores (save for one vacant slot) and has continued to add more "pad" buildings with desirable business. The parking lot gets pretty crowded, and getting in and out is slow go. You have to be careful maneuvering around all the peds and cars on the west side. It's a bit less congested on the east end where WalMart is. Maybe the Prescott Gateway Mall management could take a few pointers.

The store goes far deeper than the neighboring shops with a giant the back section that runs behind the neighboring businesses. They truly have tons of merchandise. The main problem with the store, for me, is it is a complete mess! You have to be willing to dig through piles of disheveled merchandise to see what they have. My other issue is that the pricing is nothing special on many items; in fact, on my recent visit I was able to find many items that were a little bit more expensive then you would find at other stores, and definately more than Ross. Granted, the selection is much larger and nothing they sell here are "seconds" or "irregulars." But the shopping experience is not enjoyable. You can find some decent prices, but not truly great deals. I'll check back because they do carry a big assortment of seasonal holiday items, and I like unique and uncommon finds. I prefer shop at this costco over others I have been to. The one major criticism is the parking lot can be a pain. Besides there being angled parking and of course like every costco it's busy. This can make it frustrating to get a parking space during hours as well as make it hard to even get a space. Might have to park at the nearby pet smart instead if you can't get a space. Caution!!! Tire Center is negligent! Within the 1st year of taking my vehicle to the tire center in…read morePrescott, Arizona, I've noticed the employees being negligent and LAZY! 1st) I took my vehicle in for a standard tire balance and rotation. One of my rims is missing a piece on it. Service is done and the same front driver tire with missing rim trim is on the same spot!! They also charge you for a new stem without needing it. They added the windshield sticker for 9,000 miles for the next service-which they constantly deny doing. They state it's every 6-8K miles 2nd) next tire balance and rotation, 6K miles later, they say it's too premature for the service an hour after my appointment and don't do it! At this point I am done dealing with these lazy incompetent employees! Hope Costco employs grateful people and hope this helps people keep track of their vehicles and not blindly trust ungrateful employees. At my previous Costco tire center was in North Phoenix and it was every 5K miles. In Prescott, they claim entry 6-8K miles and I personally had 9K miles for the next service. KEEP IN MIND, PRESCOTT IS HIGHER IN ELEVATION AND WE DRIVE UP AND DOWN HILLS AND MOUNTAINS ALL THE TIME! Stay safe people.
