To my surprise the phone charge cord I purchased which is right upfront by the registers DOES NOT WORK, so I called to explain it wasn't working & to ask if they could EXCHANGE it for me (still in it's packaging) and she very impolitely started talking over me and said without the receipt they couldn't even do an exchange. I told her it's still in the package and everything she continued to talk over me just saying "NO", "NO", "NO"... Finally I had enough of the rudeness and just hung up. I wasn't trying to purchase so I removed the magazine to the other side of the counter, so it would not accidentally get rung up. The manager/cashier began to interrogate me about did I move the magazine? I explained to her yes because I did not accidentally want to get charged for it because it wasn't mine. She kept repeating herself. I ruined her book. It was water where I placed it, which I never seen any water. I stated to her I did not see any water there and it was an accident. I was so confused and shocked that she would not ring me up. I was lost for words for a second. I even asked her was she serious or was she playing because I could not believe the treatment I was getting from a total accident . Her behavior/ attitude was so disgusting. It was awkward and I honestly just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. - Items were not labeled with correct pricing, for example, I found a birthday card and a bag from the shelves that said one dollar per item, but when I paid for them, each of them cost $2 apiece. I am writing to report a concerning incident that occurred at the Aldi location on Middlebelt Road…read morenear I-96 in Livonia earlier today. After completing my purchases through a cashier (not the self-checkout), I returned to my car in the parking lot. Shortly afterward, the store manager approached my vehicle and took a photograph of both me and my license plate without explanation or consent. This action was unexpected and made me feel uncomfortable and singled out. I then went back into the store to ask for an explanation. The manager informed me that I had been mistaken for someone else and that I was "the wrong person." While I understand that errors can happen, the way this situation was handled--particularly photographing me in the parking lot--was inappropriate and distressing. I would like clarification on Aldi's policies regarding photographing customers, as well as reassurance that this type of incident will be addressed to prevent it from happening to others.

The line is always down the aisle. Aldi is supposed to open more lines if there are more than 2 people in line. Never happens. Manager was working the register and is a complete asshole. Very passive aggressive. Even when you nicely ask him questions. I asked why this location only has 2 lines open with the line all the way to the back of the store. All he says is " Why do think? It's Christmas. I informed him that every time I visit this store it's like this. I asked him why he don't hire more people and how much Aldi pays because my nephews are looking for jobs. He said they only hire via internships. I told him I wasn't shopping at this location again because you have to wait so long in line. His response was 'I'm sure we will survive'. And they will. But if enough people stop shopping there, he'll be out of a job. He was not nice in this conversation, very passive aggressive. I'm sure this is why this location don't have enough employees. Just this brief interaction with this manager (cashier) and I knew I would quit if he was my boss. A complete jerk. Go to any Aldi but this one. Worst experience every time.
