I was having an issue cause the coupon that I clipped for my candle did not show when the rep rung me up, so I was asking her do she know how why and she just stared at me, I looked at her and repeated myself again and she finally says something... Stopped in for some birthday cards and appreciated the selection and diversity! The store wasn't the most organized I've ever seen but there's plenty of merchandise, that's for sure. The service was friendly and I so appreciated that. You could hear the workers appreciating and talking to any customer that entered which made for a positive energy in the store. Maybe they've taken notice of some of the prior reviews or maybe I got lucky and came on a day when the happy crew was working. Either way, it was a positive experience. read more

I'm giving 1 star just because they were open. I'm still dumbfounded by the blatant poor service. The whole time I shopped(30 minutes) the young female cashier and her male coworker complained about their manager and what the manager said to the female cashier regarding the male coworker's lack of completed jobs. They stopped long enough for the female coworker to wait on me. Actually she only rang up my groceries - as she started ringing up my groceries she dialed her boyfriend's number to discuss when he would be home - I know this because she had him on speaker phone the entire time. Family dollars are currently downsizing their stores - you might consider starting with this one. read more

Disgusting store. Pricing is completely off, merchandise all over the floor that is black and hasn't been mopped in months. The "Store Manager" is degrading and rude to customers and employees. I don't know why anyone would shop here. The prices aren't great, Walmart is much cheaper. read more

I went to the store on Az Ave & Ray Rd. with my 3 daughters. I carried in a bag from another store, they asked me for my bag. I gave it to the guy. We weren't there for more than 5 min. My daughter politely asked the guy for our bag & said thank you when he gave it to her. While walking out one of the 2 girls called my daughter a bitch. I quickly turned my head & asked did you just call my daughter a bitch? One of them looked scared & the other girl said no, geeze chill out. I said don't tell me to chill out. I had to keep walking out I was so angry. There was no reason what so ever for their rude attitude. I will NEVER go there again & I will tell everyone I know not to as well. My daughter and I went in the Family Dollar store to look for cell phone protectors. They did not have any so we left. The store detector beeped once so we entered and went through again (no beeps) everything should be fine right? The cashier was so rude and nasty and said it was suspicious because we didn't buy anything. I have never been been treated so rude in my life. But I'd rather travel 4 miles to the next establishment than to be chastised in this place because of the color of my skin! My feedback is related to a product return I made from an initial purchase. I visited the store on 9/16/2019 & made my initial purchase. On 9/18/2019 I came back to return one of the items. The store manager Juanita processed the return. I have had several interactions with her before, but this is by far the worst. This woman is horrendous & has NO business dealing with people, much less being a store manager!!! She needs to work for the Department of Corrections, not a discount store. She is rude, unprofessional & argumentative. I returned a mascara due to it's poor quality. She felt the need to make a rude comment about me having purchased a "cheap mascara" & then she flung the item in an annoyed state, which flew out of it's packaging across the register & it hit my 3 year old daughter in the face!!! Only then did her attitude subside. Apparently this location is under remodeling & the store was in a wreck upon my return date! I couldn't maneuver through the store without almost tripping over palettes or being shoved passed by staff. It's unsafe for customers to even be there during this construction work. I will NEVER come to this location again. After reading different reviews by other customers, it's apparent Juanita is the problem & nothing has been done to correct the issue. I have visited other locations & the staff has always been pleasant. I will gladly drive out of my way in the future to avoid Juanita & her assaults. SMH. read more

Negative rating if that was possible! A few months ago I went into this store with my son, within a few seconds the manager Juanita came up to me and said he's not allowed in here, he steals. I start to ask questions about it to the manager and all she says is I can have him trespassed if you want. I said ok well if he was shoplifting where is the proof? Another employee says well our Red Bull count has been going down and they don't normally sell so we know he's taking them. I dang near had to laugh as my husband has been in Loss Prevention for 20+ years so I know a thing or 2 about how things work. So I asked the manager I would like to be shown on video where my son stole, this lady then proceeded to tell me "we don't have cameras". Well, ok that's another thing you don't tell customers. My son was pissed and started to become irate so I told him to go into the car. I was becoming frustrated because of this managers attitude when I was just trying to find out what happened. I left the store and never returned. I got home tried to call the corporate office but good luck trying to get ahold of anyone there, I had to write an email so that's what I did. Never heard a peep from anyone still to this day. This team of rude employees need some serious customer service training or need to be replaced! They know nothing about retail except to accuse people of stealing when they really have no steps in order to tell someone they are shoplifting. read more
